This Time
A.J. Warner
All I can say right now is Wow!
That was one crazy roller coaster of a book. It made you feel every emotion while reading it.
A.J. Warner did an amazing job writing this one.
It touches on a lot of domestic violent situations that is a very touchy subject to try and write about.
Everything about this story felt very real.
I really fell in love with Alison and Ethan. They both had to overcome so much in their lives. It is amazing they were able to remeet and fall in love so deeply with each other.
I couldn't imagine living in Alison's shoes and I know there are many women out there that have.
I really enjoyed this book. It totally grabbed me and pulled me in all the way until the perfect ending.

This Time is a heartfelt, beautiful journey of two people dealing with the aftermath of the ends of two different relationships. Alison has been through hell with her husband. He is an abusive cheater who not only physically, but emotionally, abused her for years. She finally gets up the courage to leave him, but, of course, dissolving a relationship like that is never smooth going. She and her two children move and start over. She gets a job with her friend Jonathan, and it's through him she meets Ethan again, a guy she had been friends with in high school before he brushed her off after she asked him out. Ethan too is divorced and has a young daughter near her own daughter's age. They live a couple hours apart from each other, though, so their initial relationship is conducted through mostly flirty texting and phone calls.
I love Alison and Ethan. She's strong and independent and is a fiercely protective mom. She hasn't let her past abusive relationship turn her bitter or cynical. She has doubts, though, and insecurities, as we all do and sometimes they hamper their burgeoning relationship. Ethan is sweet and swoon worthy and so loving. He's the perfect hero, any woman would love to fall in love with a guy like him. Together, the two of them are so sexy and sweet.
If second chances are your thing, I recommend you read This Time. Be forewarned, though, that there are possible abuse triggers, so stay away if you can't handle these kinds situations.

I received the book This Time by A.J Warner to review for Hooked on books and Cherryoblossoms promotions
Oh the feels from this book is unbelievable. It was real, it was raw it was hard to read at times due to the topics of the book but it was written with care and reality and extremely well done.
I couldn't put this book down until I had reached the end. I needed to know how everything turned out and I wasn't disappointed. I felt the characters were written really well and the book flowed at a great pace. This is my first book of A j Warner, i think she did a wonderful job telling their story and I look forward to looking out for more .

The way this author has written this book is amazing the way the characters have come to life and the way you feel everything the characters go through is just outstanding. I love a book that gives you the feels and this one definitely did.

Before I even get into my review ... I seem to be the only person that read this book who didn't enjoy it. I've also never read anything by Warner, so I didn't really know what to expect. All of that being said ... I didn't expect to not connect with this book. And "not connect" is putting it nicely.
To be blunt, I found the book cheesy. The conversations were cheesy, the story itself was cheesy, everything was cheesy. It didn't feel realistic in the least. It was also dry. I didn't fall into the story, it felt forced upon me and again, nothing was realistic. Actually, at one point, I even noted that "It's like the Sahara up in this shit". Apparently, my grammar goes to the wayside along with my language when I get irritated with a book. One of my biggest pet-peeves is when conversations are stiff and forced. In no way did I see any of these conversations happening in real life.
I'm not sure if it was the stiff dryness that was the kiss of death for me on this one or what but I wasn't even halfway through the book and I felt like I didn't really know the characters. I didn't understand their motivations or wants or needs or even just the crux of who they were.
I was already irritated with how things were so completely boring and then by the time I was done with the book, I was just pissed. I felt like I invested myself and then got nothing in return. Now like I said at the beginning, I'm basically the only person in the entire world that didn't like this book. So take my review with a grain of salt and try it out for yourself.

OMG!!! what an amazing piece of writing! this story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, I laughed,cried,gasped,was scared, shocked, I was on the edge of my seat dying to know what happened! Definatly read this book!!! I was hooked from the start! my baby boys middle name is Chase so loved alisons son being a Chase,
this book really came to life for me it was like watching a film, 5 stars!!!

Another wonderful read from AJ, worth the wait.
This time, is an amazing read, it had me gripped from the first page. I couldn't help but flip the page, needing to know what was going to happen.
AJ, did a great job of bring the characters to life. Helping you feel what they were going through.

Alison’s has finally reach a tipping point in her abusive marriage and dumps him and looks to start over with her life and kids, little does she know running into an old classmate and secret love she had for him would turn into anything this many years later, but the sparks are still there if she can open her heart to trust and love again.
Ethan has life struggles of his own so reconnecting with Alison first on social media and then building a relationship with distance, but looking to go all in with her now.
This book is full of twist and turns. Great chemistry and a great love story that will have you turning the pages to see what will happen next, you may think you know the plot but AJ Warner has put some twist and turns in the book that will make you curse and cry as the characters move on with their lives and love.

Wow!! This book will take you on an emotional ride! I caution anyone whose been in an abusive relationship because it could cause some triggers.
The book will tear you apart and then put you back together... you'll fall in love and feel like you heart is breaking, you will feel cautious and want to throw caution to the wind.... and you will experience your heart pounding for true love and also fear,,,,,, and you'll enjoy every minute because the author puts you back together!

Second chance love and learning to love yourself.
I feel in love with the words from this book. The author AJ Warner delivered a beautiful love story. From the first page to the last I was held captivated with Alison and Ethan’s story. This story is about failed marriages and finding love again through tough times; each having to learn to put their trust in someone else’s hands.
I highly recommend this book.

I was given the opportunity to read this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was the first A.J. Warner book for me and boy, it was a roller-coaster ride. In this book, we meet Alison Scott. Alison is a mother of two children and a wife who has had enough.of her of no good husband Tyler. He treated her like dirt and she realized she couldn't take it any more. So she calls the cops on him and files for divorce. Will it be enough to keep him away?
Shortly after, she is reunited with Ethan Glenn. He had totally brushed her off him high school, and now he really regretted doing so. Ethan and Alison started up a friendship via Facebook. The chemistry between these two was electric! But can she trust him? After everything that has happen in her past, can she find a way to move forward?
Check this one out if you are a sucker for second chances!

This is the first book I've read by this author and it definitely wont be the last. This is such an amazing read, with some raw emotional moments within the story. This book flows really well and the characters are amazingly written. This author has a fab way of writing which brings the characters to life, sucking you into there story. This is definitely a page turner of a book, I just couldn't put it down till I'd finished it. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.

I was lucky enough to be able to beta read this wonderful book! This is way out of my normal genre and I couldn't help but be sucked in. I didn't want to put the book down once! The characters are so realistic and the life events that occur can be easily related to. You really feel like your secretly spying on someone else's life while reading this. To make this even better the author AJ is truly AMAZING and super sweet!

Alison Scott doesn't believe in destiny or fate, however, she realizes everything happens for a reason. After her marriage goes south, she picks herself up by the bootstraps, and makes a new life. Ethan Glen doesn't live, just works his life away. When he and Alison cross paths again, the sparks are flying everywhere. This story is a sweet story that I really enjoyed. And I don't mean sweet like everything is perfect, but that no matter the past, people can get past it. Alison and Ethan's sizzlin' chemistry ignites into some serious fiery flames of sexy scene goodness. This is the first time that I have read A.J. Warner, and her talented writing style drew me in from the beginning, keeping me captivated to the very end. I cannot wait to read more by this author, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I love when I read a book and just get pulled in, so much that I feel as though I am part of their world.
Allison Scott, proved resilient, fighting to escape an abusive relationship, with her whole world in tow, and succeeding, was the most amazing accomplishment.
Ethan Glenn….wow. Yes. He is all things swoon. Beard. Muscles. No other description necessary.
I REALLY loved this book, like a lot.
