Jason Thorpe has spent years carefully controlling every aspect of his life after a devastating tragedy. His emotional walls seem impossible to break through until Sharon enters his world. Independent, compassionate, and unwilling to be pushed away, she challenges everything Jason believes about love and vulnerability.
The strength of this novel lies in its character development. Jason's emotional growth feels believable, while Sharon brings patience, confidence, and warmth without ever losing her own independence. Their chemistry develops gradually, allowing the romance to feel authentic instead of rushed.
Briar Hallow itself becomes more than just a setting. The welcoming small town atmosphere creates the perfect backdrop for a story centered around healing and new beginnings. The emotional moments are handled with care, making it easy to connect with both protagonists.

This book follows Sharon. She is a talented and passionate interior designer who meets Jason, a developer, during a disastrous date. When she moves to Briar Hollow for a high profile project she expects a fresh start and a chance to prove herself. However she discovers that her new client is the same man from the date. Their clashing personalities and professional differences set the stage for a tense dynamic.
This book was full of banter. I enjoyed the differences between Jason and Sharon. It made the clashes bigger and the banter funnier. Their back and forth was fantastic.
Our two main characters were both great. Sharon is a strong female, she has the ability to challenge Jason and push him out of his comfort zone. Jason on the other hand is stubborn. He tries to cover up his grief. I'm happy he found someone to open up to.
Home in Briar Hollow is a delightful, heartwarming romance, full of banter and sizzling chemistry. The story combines light hearted entertaining dialog with more emotional moments. I enjoyed reading this.

I absolutely loved this second novel in the Briar Hollow books!
In book 1 - Back to Briar Hollow I was desperate by the end to get a spin off book for Sharon.
Home in Briar Hollow does not disappoint. Saucy, gunny and no nonsense Sharon had an appalling date with a guy 3 months ago. Low and behold he is the boss on her new design project.
If you live for the tension of a workplace romance and steamy moments this book is for you.
The character progression and relationship building is so so good! Small town romances are back in!

July 24, 2026Een heerlijk vervolg op Terug naar Briar Hollow.
Dit keer volgen we Sharon en Jason. Ze gaan op date, maar dat loopt uit op een flop. Maanden later blijken ze te moeten samenwerken op een groot project. Dit levert vele spanningen op, zeker als blijkt dat Jason 2 kanten heeft.
Ook dit boek heeft weer een dubbele pov, wat ik echt prettig vind. Tevens komen ook weer diverse "oude bekenden" langs.
Een heerlijk vervolg dus!

I was very excited when I first received this ARC, especially since I’ve been fortunate enough to receive an ARC for the first book in the Briar Hollow Series. Like the first book, I had mixed reactions to this one. There were parts that worked really well for me, and parts where I was frustrated with the characters and their sometimes very stupid decisions.
W. Griffin does something really specific in this series that I think is hard to pull off: she writes adults who are genuinely complicated. Jason Thorpe could so easily have become the brooding hero who just needs the right woman to fix him, but Griffin doesn’t do that. She gives him real reasons for the walls he’s built and, more importantly, lets him be the one to dismantle them. Nobody fixes Jason. He eventually learns to let someone stand beside him while he figures things out himself, and that distinction matters.
Sharon is the other half of what makes this work. She’s independent, capable, brilliant, warm, and stubborn in all the right ways, but she’s also allowed to be vulnerable. She has her own reasons for guarding her independence, and the book never treats that as something that needs to be “fixed.” When these two finally start moving toward each other, it feels earned, and I was embarrassingly emotional about it.
There’s also a crisis midway through that genuinely caught me off guard. I won’t say anything specific because I think it’s best experienced blindly, but it reframes everything before and after it in a way that felt emotionally honest rather than cheap. I also really loved the professional dynamic between Jason and Sharon. I love when romance novels let their characters actually be good at their jobs, and watching them interact professionally before everything else catches up with them was one of my favorite parts. Their chemistry doesn’t rely on manufactured misunderstandings or unnecessary conflict, which was refreshing.
If you read the first Briar Hollow book, the setting feels like coming home (and the title really isn’t lying). I do think this works as a standalone, but I’d still recommend starting with the first book because the author builds that homey and small town feeling beautifully as the series progresses.
My biggest frustration was Jason. I understand what he was trying to protect and why he built those walls, but there was a point where his choices genuinely hurt Sharon. Your hurt, fear, and secrets are valid, but they don’t excuse knowingly hurting the person you supposedly love. He was very lucky Sharon was nice and loved him because, honestly, if it were me, I wouldn’t have taken him back. 😂
That said, my frustrations were never really with the author. They were with the characters because they were frustrating me. And honestly, I think that’s partly because their mistakes felt realistic. People can be stubborn. People can make stupid decisions even when the future is right in front of them.
I also loved seeing the returning characters, especially Rachel. She’s matured so much since the first book, and I really liked how her attitude shifted when Jason hurt Sharon. She was angry because her friend was hurt, which felt incredibly realistic to me. As friends, we get mad for our friends, especially when they can’t see what we can. But once they work things out, we can also put that anger aside and support their happiness. That made Rachel feel very real to me.
The parts leaeding up to the conflict was a little slower than the rest, but I didn’t mind too much because I was already invested in these characters. If you’re someone who struggles with slow burns, just know that the payoff is worth it.
Overall, this is the kind of romance that lingers. Not because of the dramatic moments, but because Griffin writes people who feel real and a love story that feels like something that could actually sustain two people’s lives. That’s rarer than it should be, and I’m glad this book exists.

Thuis in Briar Hollow is deel 2 in de serie en volgt Jason en Sharon in hun zoektocht naar de liefde.
Jason is emotioneel onbenaderbaar en heeft muren zo hoog en dik als de Chinese muur, ontstaan nadat hij de voogdij kreeg over zijn neefje Leo. Hij houdt mensen op afstand en laat niemand dichtbij komen, tot dat Sharon opeens komt opdagen en zijn muren omver ramt.
Sharon is ontwerpdesigner en moet samenwerken met de knappe maar onuitstaanbare Jason, die projectontwikkelaar/ directeur is over dit project. De aantrekkingskracht is er direct en ze warmen voor elkaar op. Toch moeten ze samen nog een hoop muren slopen om samen gelukkig te zijn.
Lukt het Sharon en Jason om samen gelukkig te worden of metselt Jason de muur alleen maar hoger?
Ik vind het moeilijk om mijn gedachtes over dit boek op papier te zetten. Het verhaal en het plot zijn leuk en goed uitgewerkt. Beide zijn ze op hun eigen manier met dit project en op het einde komt dit allemaal samen.
Jason vond ik op het begin echt een goede MMC, maar naarmate het boek vorderde begon ik me meer aan hem te ergeren. Ik snap zijn gemaakte keuzes namelijk niet zo goed. Het ene moment zeg je dat wat eerder is gebeurd NOOIT meer mag gebeuren en een paar pagina's later gebeurd precies dát, om er vervolgens voor 'weg te rennen.' Uhm, hallooo?!
Wanneer er een familiekwestie is, komt Jason gelukkig tot bezinking en begrijpt hij wie en wat goed voor hem is. Zijn route is zeer hobbelig te noemen.
Sharon daarentegen vond ik wel een goede FMC. Ze weet wat ze wil, heeft een doel en gaat daar ook voor, ongeacht wat voor tegenslagen er zijn.
Mijn favoriete personage in dit boek is toch wel Leo, die nog heerlijk onschuldig en eerlijk is.
Daarnaast miste het boek soms wat diepgang, en dan vooral bij de connectie tussen Jason en Sharon. Ze zijn direct tot elkaar aangetrokken en zien elkaar direct zitten. Mag wat maakt hun connectie nu precies zo bijzonder?
Ook vind ik dat Sharon soms wat breder uitgewerkt had geworden. Bij Jason kruipen we regelmatig in zijn hoofd en krijgen we herinneringen van zes jaar geleden te lezen, wat heel fijn is! Bij Sharon kregen we die achtergrond niet en dat vond ik toch wel een gemis.
Ik heb dus kortom gemengde gevoelens over dit boek, maar toch heb ik het 4 sterren gegeven (eigenlijk 3,5). Dit komt vooral doordat ik het vertelde verhaal en plot zeer leuk vond en ook de setting van de bouwplaats vond ik origineel bedacht. Daarom voelde 3 sterren niet goed en ben ik richting de 4 sterren gegaan.

ARC:
Enemies-to-lovers, een gezonde dosis passie en personages die elkaars bloed onder de nagels vandaan kunnen halen. Als dit goed klinkt dan is Home in Briar Hollow een fijne boekkeuze. Een verhaal over het afbreken van muren, samenwerken en onverwachte aantrekkingskracht.
Het verhaal opent met een date tussen Sharon en Jason die rampzalig verloopt, Sharon was niet van hem gecharmeerd. Fast forward naar een paar maanden later, het toeval wil dat ze moeten samenwerken aan een belangrijk project.
Jason is horkerig, afstandelijk en wil qua design exact het tegenovergestelde van wat Sharon voorstelt. Hij heeft hoge muren om zich heen gebouwd en is ervan overtuigd dat een kille, zakelijke houding nodig is om zichzelf en degenen van wie hij houd te beschermen.
Sharon laat zich niet zomaar aan de kant schuiven. Ze is onafhankelijk, zelfstandig, heeft een sterke eigen mening en ontwerpt niet alleen , maar klust ook met zwaar gereedschap. Ze wil serieus genomen worden en gehoord worden. De spanning op de werkvloer is om te snijden, maar onder die weerstand broeit er flink wat aantrekkingskracht.
Wanneer ze eenmaal over die professionele grenzen heen gaan, spatten de vonken er vanaf! Maar Jason speelt een frustrerend spel van aantrekken en afstoten. Hij houdt zijn emotionele geheimen voor zich en houdt Sharon aan het lijntje, wat haar onzeker en verdrietig maakt.
Het verhaal is geschreven in dual POV, waardoor je in de hoofden van beide personages kijkt. Dat zorgt ervoor dat je hen goed leert kennen, al had ik wel momentendat ik me ook ergerde aan hun keuzes.
Briar Hollow geeft een gemoedelijke small-town sfeer mee die vooral naar voren komt in de hechte vriendschappen. Het verhaal begint sterk, maar halverwege zakte het tempo wat in. Het heen-en-weer geswitch tussen hun gedachten (afgewisseld met af en toe een spicy scène) kabbelde een beetje voort zonder dat er echt iets noemenswaardigs gebeurd. Totdat een gebeurtenis hen dwingt elkaar met andere ogen te zien.
De schrijfstijl is soms wat te beschrijvend, maar leest prima weg. De epiloog had van mij persoonlijk niet echt gehoeven, maar dat is smaak.

Story.
this is a story about Sharron and Jason, Sharron is a interior designer and Jason owns a construction company, Sharron gets hired to help complete the new build.
straight from the start the ideas sharron has for the building has Jason furious he wants professional, clinical and sleek all grey.. she wants to add colour to make it welcoming.
As the months go on Sharron realises there is a reason for Jason's hard exterior, and Jason realises hhe cant always have his walls up, something needs to give.
Jason. has got a secret life at home, fuled by grief and a promise he made 6 years ago, but his foundations are crumbling the concrete cracking under his feet, Sharron is his saviour and he is hers,
Plot -
i loved this plot its very much contemporary romance with some good spice in places, its set in the home town of Briar Hollow and is the 2nd book in the series, This book is about grief and trauma its about finally healing and the way its written is so good, its heavy in all the right places, it has abit of light hearted comedy, and just the right mixture of emotions for the reader.
Overall-
i loved this book again contemporary romance with spice, grief, trauma and healing is what I would categorise this book as, for me personally the 1st bit of the story dragged alittle bit with much of the same going on but once it kicked in I couldn't put it down, i love the way its wtitten and I love yhe characters, it was nice to see returning characters too from Back To Briar Hollow,
This is a 4⭐️ for me as like I said I felt it dragged a little at the beginning personally think a chapter or 2 could have been taken out, but definitely reccomend this book its a beautiful read.
Story.
this is a story about Sharron and Jason, Sharron is a interior designer and Jason owns a construction company, Sharron gets hired to help complete the new build.
straight from the start the ideas sharron has for the building has Jason furious he wants professional, clinical and sleek all grey.. she wants to add colour to make it welcoming.
As the months go on Sharron realises there is a reason for Jason's hard exterior, and Jason realises hhe cant always have his walls up, something needs to give.
Jason. has got a secret life at home, fuled by grief and a promise he made 6 years ago, but his foundations are crumbling the concrete cracking under his feet, Sharron is his saviour and he is hers,
Plot -
i loved this plot its very much contemporary romance with some good spice in places, its set in the home town of Briar Hollow and is the 2nd book in the series, This book is about grief and trauma its about finally healing and the way its written is so good, its heavy in all the right places, it has abit of light hearted comedy, and just the right mixture of emotions for the reader.

Nog eens bedankt @griffinpublishing dat ik Arc lezer mocht zijn van dit geweldige vervolg. En w.Griffin. You did it again. Wat een leuk verhaal is dit😍
Dit verhaal gaat over Sharon. Zij is een interieurontwerper. En ze gaat een project aan bij een nieuwbouw in Briar Hollow.
Ze heeft een date met Jason. Die faliekant misloopt maar… dan blijkt hij ook nog eens de baas te zijn van dat nieuwbouwproject.
En het helpt zeker niet om met een controle freak, compromisloze ondoordringbare ‘Griekse god’ lookalike samen te moeten werken.
De chemie tussen de personages spat doorheen het hele verhaal van de pagina’s. Er is een constante wissel tussen aantrekkingskracht en afzijdig houden.
Maar dan gebeurd er iets dat het masker van Jason vernietigt. Maar is Sharon hier wel klaar voor?
Wat een verhaal was dit! Ik ben er doorheen gevlogen. Het heeft me geboeid van het begin tot het einde. De manier waarop de verschillende personages tot leven zijn gebracht, is geweldig. Hoe het verleden naar boven werd gehaald, om zo de karakters die gevormd zijn, beter te begrijpen.
Ook fijn detail, de personages Rachel en Thomas uit het eerste verhaal, doen aan de zijlijn mee. Vond ik ook wel leuk.
Het is in een dubbele POV geschreven. Wat ik altijd aangenaam lezen vind.

Daarnaast krijgen we af en toe een kijkje in Jason's hoofd, maar bleef het voor mij lastig om sommige van zijn reacties en uitspraken helemaal te begrijpen.
Maar als je op zoek bent naar een romantisch, luchtig verhaal om deze zomer in het zonnetje te lezen, dan zit je met Home in Briar Hollow helemaal goed.

This book was such a comfort read. It made me laugh, it made me cry — like, **a lot** — and somewhere along the way, it reminded me that letting people in isn’t always such a bad thing.
I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, so I’ll just say this: if you love wholesome comfort books that somehow reach right into your soul and hit *that* spot, this series is it.
I absolutely loved connecting with Jason, Sharon, and Leo. I was rooting for the love, the friendships, and the character development every step of the way. This book had it all — the emotions, the laughter, the heartbreak, the healing, and just enough spice to keep things interesting. Although, personally, I could have happily handled a few more of those sexy, possessive, spicy scenes. 😏 But that’s just me.
It had everything a good book needs, and the best part? **The series isn’t over yet!**

This story is gorgeous and i can honestly say i enjoyed every minute spent reading it. This is book 2 in the Briar hollow series and revisiting it was like coming home after a long time away, comforting!
Sharon is a strong independent career focused woman and Jason is a cold hard work obsessed man but is that all just a front? A coping mechanism?
‘Im just a gap-filler’ ‘you are the centrepiece’ made me cry. Rachel is the best friend, i love the relationship these girls have.
Again this author wrote a story that i loved, a HEA that we needed. I wept do not get me wrong, more than once but thats the beauty of a good book isn’t it? feeling every emotion given.
Please pick up this book and enjoy it the way i did because its a gorgeous read.

I received an Arc copy of this book. This was definitely home in briar hollow. This follows Sharon and Jason and how the architect got his walls demolished by the wrecking ball and boy was it ever done. Due to something that happened 6 years ago he built walls so high they rivaled the security of fort know but them she comes in like a damn wrecking ball showing him the walls aren't always necessary. It taught me somethings too and showed me other things. Finally the bunny kidnapper found her home and it was nothing like what she imagined and wouldn't change it for anything in the world, and he needed to share the load bearing walls. 10/10 would recommend

Dit boek is een verhaal geweest dat ik geïnhaleerd heb, het liefdes verhaal met alle kanten van beide Jason en Sharon is oprecht perfect beschreven. Hoe Jason eigenlijk van man met grote mond maar klein hartje zich dan toch kan openstellen naar de liefde was prachtig gedaan en lieve Sharon de firecracker. Deze schrijfster kan alles schrijven van dark romance naar fluffy romance, het is het waard om instant buy als titel te krijgen en ik raad het boek aan iedereen aan. De manier dat het geschreven is houdt je vast van begin tot het einde, het is een beetje slow burn in het begin maar heel erg goed gedaan!

I recieved this book as an Arc from the author and I could not be more thankfull because this book lived up to my expentations!
It is book 2 out of the Briar Hollow series and this book aswell has my heart. I love the story telling, it was fast paced and the work romance and the tension between the characters was absolutely amazing! I loved that apart from the romance story both characters had a storyline in which you got to know them better with their intentions and feelings.

I received a review copy of this lovely Romance story. Sharon a fiercely independent woman meets her equal in Jason. A wrecking ball later and their lives are changed forever.
