This was a good read. Some trigger warnings at the beginning of the book.
This book follows Sorine, our badass FMC, who is basically a secret spy with her adopted dad as her “person in the chair” and Zane, an ex military man who specializes in recovery management and asset retrieval.
There is some spice, a lot of secrets, some betrayals, more than a few lies and a lot of action. The story line was great, a lot of depth and background went into developing the characters. Sorine has been through the wringer when she was younger, and while she may be sent on missions from Oliver, she also goes on own, to find who hurt her and make them pay.
As the first book in a series, I can’t wait to read the rest
