The grid is down. The president is running. The hunt is on.
When a catastrophic solar storm takes out the entire power grid, Air Force One is forced to land at Fairbanks International in Alaska. Waiting on the tarmac are domestic terrorists with a single objective: seize the President of the United States and bring the government to its knees.
As Secret Service agents are gunned down around him, President Edward Thompson grabs his one chance to escape—jumping on board a Cessna 182 piloted by elite Snakeriver operative Travis Delta.
Travis runs for Heaven: 500 acres of brutal Alaskan wilderness, where he and his wife Liv share a cabin that looks unassuming but conceals state-of-the-art defenses—blast-proof walls, a hidden armory, and an underground bunker built for exactly this kind of nightmare.
The terrorists are coming. They are smart and determined. And they will not stop until the president is theirs. With the grid down and a small army closing in, Travis and Liv must hold the line—or watch America fall.
Exit Plan – book 7 in the stunning action series featuring ex-Navy SEAL, Travis Delta. Perfect for fans of Lee Child, Jason Kasper & David Archer.

Exit Plan is another outstanding entry in Russ Stone's Travis Delta series, and somehow the books just keep getting better. Packed with nonstop action, high-stakes suspense, and characters that feel like old friends, this was an absolute page-turner from start to finish.
What begins as a long-awaited getaway for Travis and his wife, Liv, at their remote Alaskan cabin quickly turns into a fight for survival when a massive grid failure throws the country into chaos. When rogue Alaskan militiamen attempt to capture the President of the United States, Travis finds himself in the middle of the action once again. After helping thwart the attack, he and Liv are suddenly responsible for protecting the president while cut off from communication and surrounded by enemies closing in on their isolated refuge.
The pacing is relentless, with tension building from the opening chapters and never letting up. The combination of a nationwide crisis, an isolated wilderness setting, and determined adversaries creates a gripping atmosphere that kept me turning pages late into the night. Stone does an excellent job balancing explosive action sequences with strong character development, and Travis remains a hero who is both capable and easy to root for.
One of the things I enjoy most about this series is how familiar and engaging the recurring characters have become. Spending time with Travis and Liv feels like catching up with old friends, even as they're thrown into increasingly dangerous situations.
Fast-paced, thrilling, and incredibly entertaining, Exit Plan delivers everything fans of action thrillers could want. If you enjoy high-stakes adventure, survival scenarios, and edge-of-your-seat suspense, this is a fantastic read. I can't wait to see what Travis Delta faces next.
Russ Stone is an author who takes the pulse of what's happening in our current geopolitical environment, amps up the possibilities of what could go wrong in a way that makes for a compelling adventure, and gives us a hero to restore balance in the form of Travis Delta. In a short while, Stone has already given us seven nailbiting adventures for our vicarious reading pleasure.
In Exit Plan, there's no deviation from the script as Delta swoops in to protect the President from a group of crazed domestic terrorists bent on sweeping out the swamp and replacing it with a survival of the fittest mentality. While Heaven, Alasks seems like an idyllic place to lay low, it doesn't take long to turn into a battle zone once the bad guys figure out where they're hiding out.
With little to no communications due to an EMP, Delta, his girlfriend Liz, and President Thompson must rely on their wits, extreme firepower, and a bit of luck to get through this threat unscathed. Suffice it to say, with Travis Delta on your side, the odds your enemies and the threat will be eliminated with extreme prejudice are pretty good.
This is a page-turner that will keep you at the edge of your seat. I'm already looking forward to the next Travis Delta thriller; with Russ Stone's prodigious writing, I'm sure it won't be long.

Travis Delta and his wife just happen to be in Fairbanks while vacationing at their home in Alaska when an CME from the sun is headed toward earth. At the same time, the President of the United States is headed home from Russia with a planned stop in Alaska.
Also in the area is a militia group, White Hawk Militia, planning to take the president hostage and basically overtake the government. Travis and his wife just happen to be at the airport getting their plane ready for the trip to their home when the CME hits, the president lands and the melitia stirkes.
The author does a great job developing the story, bringing all the plot lines together and converges on Heaven. Also add in the military, the home of Travis and Liv which is a survival bunker and lots of action.
All the Travis Delta books are exceptional stories and well worth your time. Highly recommend.

I love this series. The main character, Travis Delta, is an amazing person, putting his life in danger for every assignment or for just doing the right thing. He is constantly aware of his surroundings and noticing things. The action starts from the beginning and continues to the end with several subplots. This is an entertaining political thriller with international and domestic terrorists and an EMP event. The story moves quickly and was a page turner for me.

This one has Travis Delta locked and loaded and willing to fight to the death to protect his wife and president of the United States. While trying to relax in Alaska Travis and Liv find themselves in danger once again by trying to keep a terrorist group away from the president after a solar storm knocked out the entire power grid in Fairbanks Alaska where Air Force One was forced to land. Action-packed most definitely!!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Travis and Liv are just settling in for a much needed vacation at his cabin when chaos ensues. Not only is the world dealing with a downed power grid, looting an utter disaster, Travis and Liv step in and rescue the President from an angry group of militia. This was intense right from the first chapter. I think this was one of the best thrillers I have read in 2026. Loved it. The sneak peek of the next book looks promising as well.
"Exit Plan" is a fast-paced action thriller, with Russ Stone taking the Travis Delta series to new heights. Travis is at his best in this gripping page-turner, with both he and Russ Stone fully locked and loaded for an unforgettable ride.

In this seventh book, Travis remains for a change in the US but finds himself having to rescue the president and defend him from domestic terrorists. A solar storm brings down all comms in the US which forces Air Force One to divert to an airport in Alaska where they are immediately attacked by a militia group. Luckily Travis and Liv happen to be there to come to the rescue. What follows next is a rearguard action as they hunker down in Travis's cabin in Heaven and await the future ambush until there is time for a rescue mission to be ordered.
I loved this. It is different from the prior books as this time Travis is not on the other side of the world carrying out a top secret mission and I loved the setting at home in Alaska. The region is cold and bleak and it adds to the overall story and I loved the way he sets out to ambush the attackers initially while strategically plotting the best way to defend and attack. As usual with this series, I found it hard to put down. I can't wait to read the next one.
