Army veteran Mason Sharpe moved to the tiny coastal town of Brynn's Haven, Maine, for the peace it promised. Deep underwater, he finds something far darker: a child's skeleton fitted with concrete boots.
When Mason brings the chilling discovery to Sheriff Donald Wirtz, he's met with a polite shrug. But as more remains are discovered, the truth becomes brutally clear: Wirtz isn't just ignoring the evidence—he's burying it.
Now Mason is alone, cut off from the law and pushed into the crosshairs of a ruthless crime ring. These people play for keeps—they run this town and they will do whatever it takes to keep its secrets resting quietly on the seafloor.
But this time, they’ve picked a fight with the wrong guy. They have no idea what's coming for them out of the cold Atlantic night.
They think they can bury the truth in dark waters, but they're wrong. Because Mason Sharpe has never been afraid to dive into the Deep End.

Deep End is another solid addition to Logan Ryles' Mason Sharpe series and delivers exactly what fans have come to expect: action, suspense, and a hero who always seems to find trouble no matter where he goes.
Hoping for a quieter life, Mason relocates to a small coastal town in Maine, only to discover something horrifying beneath the water—a child's skeleton fitted with concrete boots. What starts as a disturbing discovery quickly spirals into a dangerous investigation involving corruption, buried secrets, and a ruthless criminal network determined to keep the truth hidden.
The novel takes a little time to find its footing, but once the story gains momentum, it moves at a relentless pace. From that point on, I found myself flying through the pages as Mason dug deeper into the mystery and faced increasingly dangerous odds. The small-town setting adds an extra layer of tension, creating an atmosphere where nobody can be fully trusted and the people in power may be the very ones responsible for the crimes.
One of the strengths of this series continues to be Mason Sharpe himself. After so many books, he feels like a fully realized character, and each new installment feels like catching up with an old friend. His determination, sense of justice, and willingness to put himself in harm's way make him easy to root for.
While this entry didn't quite deliver the same emotional impact as some of the earlier books in the series, it was still an entertaining and highly readable thriller. Logan Ryles has a knack for crafting fast-paced stories that are difficult to put down, and Deep End is no exception.
Overall, this was an enjoyable action thriller with an intriguing mystery, memorable villains, and plenty of suspense. Fans of Mason Sharpe—and action-thriller readers in general—will find a lot to enjoy here.
Mason is diving to release some traps from a fishing boat in Maine when he sees the body of a young girl in concrete boots. After reporting it to the local police, he is shocked the next morning when they dive to recover the body only to find it is not there. When he finds further children bodies and calls in the state police, he finds himself with a target on his back.
The subject matter here is shocking and guaranteed to make you want to read page after page to see how Mason delivers his own justice. I love a book with corruption in it and this was no different. The level of corruption though is something else and as he soon discovers, the crimes involved are even more shocking than he thought. This is fast, violent and ultimately a very satisfying read.
