4.5 rating! I really enjoyed this short read! The story was very compelling and also droids are the true heroes of Star Wars. In any universe!

I like the exploration of droid rights and the Force, something Star Wars canon has touched on but never really committed to. I did find some of the art hard to follow panel-to-panel.

PT Devorei este manga assim que o recebi.
Eiichi Shimizu e Tomohiro Shimoguchi trazem-nos uma história que, apesar de ser totalmente irrelevante no que diz respeito aos grandes acontecimentos do universo de Star Wars — algo perfeitamente normal neste tipo de histórias —, não deixa, por isso, de ser uma excelente história!
O protagonista é Nagi Tsukumo, um Jedi sobrevivente da famosa Ordem 66, que procura ajudar dois droids a encontrar um lugar lendário conhecido como o paraíso dos droids.
É uma história fechada, muito bem construída e desenvolvida, que demonstra que estes dois autores sabem perfeitamente como contar uma boa história, mesmo dispondo de um espaço tão reduzido.
Adorei praticamente tudo nesta leitura e só tenho pena de que, muito provavelmente, não voltaremos a ver Nagi Tsukumo e estas personagens noutras histórias. É que são todas boas demais para ficarem por aqui!

Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi bring us a story that, despite being completely irrelevant when it comes to the major events of the Star Wars universe — which is perfectly normal for this type of story — is nonetheless a really great one!
The protagonist is Nagi Tsukumo, a Jedi survivor of the infamous Order 66, who sets out to help two droids find a legendary place known as the droid paradise.
It is a self-contained story that is very well written and developed, showing that these two authors know exactly how to tell a good story, even within such a limited amount of space.
I loved pretty much everything about this read, and my only regret is that we will probably never see Nagi Tsukumo and these characters again in another story. They are simply too good to end here!

Star Wars: Visions as a series is a bit of a hit or miss; this one is one of the hits, though it still falls short of some of the best episodes. It tells the story of a Jedi traveling with a band and searching for a droid sanctuary where droids can live in peace - all the while being pursued by an assassin droid facing a personality crisis. It's hard to say more without spoilers but the story is just a backdrop; the main interest is in the characters themselves.As a manga, it embodies some of the genre's best and worst traits: the art is great and striking and the characters have depth. On the other hand, the pacing is a bit weird; you're likely feeling like you've missed something all the time. I had to google to find out if I had missed an earlier issue. I generally love in medias res but here I just felt something was missing.
If you're a fan of Visions or just alternate Star Wars, this is one you'll want to pick up. The art is great and perfectly fits the story. The characters are interesting and there is that certain something that makes it a compelling read. I'm not quite sure if the pacing is off or if it's part of its charm that it is so weird. Necesitamos más historias de Star Wars en formato manga. Esto fue una muy grata experiencia!!
La historia aprovecha el escenario específico de los tiempos oscuros para desarrollar no solo los últimos días de un Jedi sobreviviente, sino como sus ideas logran generar un impacto incluso en sus enemigos. El dilema que establece con respecto a la inteligencia artificial, a su potencial como organismos sintientes y llegar a ser más que la suma de sus partes es algo fascinante (diría que me recordó un poco a Thia de Predator Badlands). En ese sentido, el maestro Nagi es un Jedi inmediatamente destacable, empatizando con la especie que la galaxia da más por sentado: los droides. Es una forma bastante original de desarrollar una historia en un periodo turbulento y de constante cambio. El arte también me pareció precioso en todo momento.
Personalmente, me hubiera gustado que fuese un poco más largo, pasar aún más tiempo con el antagonista, el Jedi Killer (además que desear que se hubiese dado a sí mismo un nombre), pero en general estoy satisfecho.
En general, una historia atípica, pero bastante cool, de los tiempos oscuros.

I jumped on this the day it came out.. Not normally a manga reader, once I got use to the correct order to read it went smoothly. A short read for sure but very well done. Star War fans will enjoy the story and the art.

Manga and Star Wars... it just works. Given the narrative origins of the galaxy far, far away, I suppose this isn't much of a surprise. The journey is always prioritised in manga. In Tsukumo, this is quite clear. It's a solid story and it is impossible to feel nothing by the last page.

Fantastic book!

The artwork was very good, but I would have preferred it to have been in color, rather than black and white. The story, what I could understand of it, was pretty good.

Due to Disney/PRH taking over publication of Star Wars Manga, and them spending the next year reprinting everything, this might be the last new/original Star Wars Manga for a while. It's a good job it was damn good!!!!
Mangakas Shimizu and Shimoguchi (creators of the modern ultraman series) bring their own visions style spin on Star Wars.
The Japanese term Tsukumogami is when a household object turns 100 years old it becomes sentient and gains a yokai (spirit). Whether it becomes a good or evil spirit depends on how it was treated.
This manga is about a droid who becomes sentient. The droid was trained to become a jedi killer. But when it becomes sentient what does the droid want to do?
Thank the force this book was excellent. I loved it so much!!!! As someone who owns every single volume of Star Wars Manga in existence, this next year of nothing new is absolutely going to kill me.
Edit: reread on UK physical release, i still love this book. Only now have to wait till December for the next volume of Star Wars Manga: Fallen Order volume 3.
