Ravish Her Completely

Rate this book
When Agata wakes up in the middle of nowhere after drinking an herb concoction given to her by an old Norwegian woman, she is confused and just wants to get home. She doesn’t get time to think about her situation because a towering man with battle scars and wielding an ax takes her as his property. Although there is a language barrier between her and the barbarian, she understands the word he keeps calling her: wife.

When Stian Dagmar finds a woman alone and unconscious in the woods, the first thought he has is that he wants her as his wife. She will probably fight him, struggle for her freedom, but being with him is a lot safer than what his world will give her.

Can Agata accept her new life and the feelings for Stian that grow within her, or will she go home the first opportunity that arises?

I read many books of this author and I really liked them. I liked this one too.

It was about Stian and Agata from two different universe. Agata sas from our world and Stian was from the in-between.

Agata was away on business and she went to a fall festival. There, she met an older womab who knew things about her. The older woman gave her a drink with herbs and told her to drink it to be with who she was meant to be and meant to be with. She drank it and after a while, the lights became blurry. She closed her eyes and when she opened them again, she's in a different place already.

Stian was banished from their village and was kbow as the Beast of Northbrook. He was out to find dibner and stock up on supplies. That's when he saw a motionless body on the ground. He brought her back to his hut and claimed her his wife.

She tried to run away from him twice and the second time she did that, the villagers attacked her but Stian ran after her and saved and protected her.

a few days after the attack, Stian taught her how to fight and defend herself. Then while practicing by herself, a woman came and told her that the villagers are on their way to kill Stian and told her why he was banished

When the villager came, he fought them. He killed many of them and the rest retreated. And Agata decided to stay with him.

There's an epilogue too.

Romantic and Hot

Agata may be a successful business woman but her life is empty, she's no family and no real friends her life is missing something.
Agata never knew her parents and grew up in the foster system all she knows is that her mother was American and young her father was older and Scandinavian, so when she flys into Oslo, Norway on business she feels strangely at home and between an old blind woman and some herbs Agata gets a chance of a new life but will she appreciate the gift she's been given or will she want her familiar but lonely life back.
Stian has had a hard life, thrown out by the village he was born in he lives a lonely life so when he finds a strangely dressed but beautiful woman in the woods one day he decides to keep her.
I loved this book and both Agata and Stian, particularly Stian I really wanted him to find his HEA, this was more romantic than I imagined and I loved it, a beautiful short read and of course hot in the right places as you'd expect from this author.

This was such a good story. It was short but I didn't feel like it was incomplete. The H was so possessive and protective of the h. I enjoyed this one.

Away on business Agata finds time to visit a festival where she runs into a woman who seems to know a lot about how Agata really feels about her life. When the woman give Agata a drink she drinks it not knowing it will change her life. Stan is out hunting and stumbles onto Agata, knowing he should just leave her and let the village people save her Stian can't seem to walk away. When Stain see's her face he knows right away she will be his wife. Waking up Agata is shocked and scared and at first thinks she is still at the festival. When reality come crashing down all Agata can think about is getting home.

But Stain will keep Agata no matter what, he has been alone for too long. The longer Agata is in this new world the more reality comes crashing down and the more both of their feeling begin to grow. But this new world isn't safe and when Agata gets the chance to finally have what she thinks she has wanted since she awakened may now be at her fingertips, now Agata will have to decide what she wants more, her home or her new life with Stian.

This was a really good read. Yes its shorter but this book wasn't rushed and I really, really enjoyed it. When I first read the book description I thought of Kristen Ashley's book Golden Dynasty and while they have a similar idea this is a story all on it's own. Stian was a great hero and like all of Ms. Snows hero's he was possessive, and strong, and me man you woman. Agata was a great heroine she didn't melt under pressure and she wasn't stupid. I also liked that she wasn't so stubborn that she missed what was right in front of her. All in all this was a really great read that was fast, hot, and new.

Agata is in Norway on business, she's of Scandinavian descent herself. So when her business is completed she goes sightseeing. At a village fair she's given a herb drink by an old woman. When Agata wakes she finds herself in a strange place and she's been captured by a viking named Stian. Neither speak the others language, so communicating is impossible. But Agata understands one thing Stian desires her.

I found this story more romantic than I had expected. I liked both characters, they were well matched even though they're from different worlds. The sex is well written as usual. A very enjoyable short story.

The book was okay, I guess. But the main characters just did not connect for me. Their is something missing I can't explain, I was in the middle of the story and I was getting annoyed and I don't know why. Worst of all I feel that the hero and heroin's interactions were somewhat forced and stilted. Even the romance and sex were lacklustre.

Very disappointed. Had the potential for a great story. Just had bones, no meat! The characters had lots of potential but no development. Sorry. But left hanging and wanting to know more.

Ravish Her by Jenika Snow review

Synopsis:

When Agata wakes up in the middle of nowhere after drinking an herb concoction given to her by an old Norwegian woman, she’s confused, afraid, and just wants to get home.

But she doesn’t get time to think about her situation, because a towering man resembling a battle-scarred Viking wielding an ax takes her as his property.

Although there’s a language barrier between her and the barbarian, she understands the one word he keeps calling her—wife.
When Stian Dagmar finds a woman alone and unconscious in the woods, the first thought he has is that she’ll be his wife. She’d fight him, struggle for her freedom, but being with him would be a lot safer than what his world would give her.

He just has to show her that he can be a good provider and protect her from the dangers that surround them.
Can Agata accept her new life and the feelings for Stian that grow within her, or will she go home the first opportunity that arises?

This was a short book with danger, fighting, smut and a happy ending. My first book by Jenika and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved how Stian and Agata’s relationship just blossomed into something extraordinary. They came from different worlds but were made for each other nonetheless. Working past their language barriers and learning from each other was amazing. It was a 50/50 relationship. She didn’t lose English and completely use his language to communicate and vice versa, they spoke both of their languages and understood each other. Such an awesome book!

‘She was a bigger girl, thick and curvy, a healthy size sixteen.’

Yeeeeessss! That my girl right there, flaunt those curves baby!!

‘Stian stared at the headless body in confusion and lifted his gaze to see Agata standing there, an axe in her hand and blood sprayed along her body.’

I love how powerful Stian is and when he realizes that his wife just decapitated someone, the feeling of pride goes from husband to reader. She’s such a strong female character and I’m living for it!

‘A home that offers you nothing. At least in this life, you can be someone, learn to care about someone so deeply it takes your breath away and makes you want to fight for him.’

Ravish her completely de Jenika Snow

Lazy writing. Not even a basic proof read done, 'She' and 'He' are constantly mixed up, as is he and her etc. For example, 'he kissed he', instead of 'her,' 'he grabbed on to his arms', it should have been 'she grabbed on to his arms', and 'He lifted her gaze to her face' should be 'he lifted his gaze to her face'. Just a few examples of the too numerous basic mistakes that should never have been allowed to be published. As well as letters missing from words, there are wrong words used etc. Just seriously lazy writing.

I can't believe this author expects people to pay for her books, when she can't even be bother to do a quick read over to catch basic mistakes, or put in the smallest effort to create a decent story. I also can't believe other readers give this author high star ratings, when there are so many lazy problems with the writing and story.

I honestly didn't realise this was Jenika Snow when I started it but as soon I got to the sex scene, which is very long and dragged out over 13 tiresome pages of foreplay, before they even have sex, I knew it had to be either Jenika Snow, Sam Crescent or Nicola Snow, or similar 'churn them out as quick as possible ' type of author. Because all these author's write this exact same long, dragging, tresome and ridiculous type of sex scene, in a basic story without depth and churn them out like it's some kind of clonal conveyor belt. So I checked and yep, it was by one of those very 'churn em out' author's, Jenika Snow.

I will say that the story is a bit better with slightly more of a plot than the handful of the authors newer books I've read, but it is still dull and didn't hold my interest. I got to 85% by bedtime and didn't care enough to finish it, despite how close I was to the end. So I think that tells you everything you need to know. Poor!

I’ve always loved Jenika’s books and I was lucky enough to gifted her one of her newest “Ravishing Her Completely” yep and he did that. (smiles)
They call Stian a beast but what does the villagers know, except the fact that Stian allows and works at being that beast. He lives far from the village and alone, he pretty much gave up on the fact of a wife and a family. With Stians past know woman from the village would want him.
Agata is on a business trip to Norway and she thinks maybe she will have time to get into with her roots.
You just have to love little creepy old ladies in whatever era or world they reside in, wise in their years and as old as dirt. Mostly they are mixing up some type of destiny in sachet of herbs. (smiles)
Jenika did great with this story, a quick read with a tad bit of danger, a smidgen of wth really, a dash of maybe and a lot of of passion packed heat.
Granted the kink in me would have loved to see more spankings...just saying. It was fun and I enjoyed it, thank you Jenika for the gift. I do recommend it.

Que Besta ein... UAU!

A-D-O-R-E-I esse livro! ♥

Queria maaaaaaaissss :/
Nota: 5 ♥

Jenika has done it again! She has taken me on a mystical ride I didn't expect to go on. We travel back in time somewhere in Norway. Where Agata isn't lonely anymore and where Stian finds out he can love. The story is like every other with a HEA but to get there you are sent on this emotional , heart pounding , scary adventure. ( well at least for me). There were some slow parts but they are easy to pass by. I loved the heroine in the story and how she stands with her man to fight. And how the hero will protect his woman from everything even herself. This was a must read for me. And it didn't disappoint. Specially the sex scenes, I mean I have read some good stuff but nobody writes a super steamy detailed sex scene like jenika. And that Epilogue had me tearing up.

I bought this book, because it was recommended to me after I purchased a similar book. This is an okay story. It's only 87 pages long. There was potential there to make this a great story, but it was just a skim of a story.

Uhhh, wait what?!?

Okay, let's be real. Jenika Snow essentially writes porn for ladies - which I'm absolutely down with. I actually enjoyed the story, even if it's a bit fantastical. Good, believable characters with a fun, sexy premise. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars. However! This felt like a second draft. There were so many typos and editing errors that I had to re-read and go back just to clarify that I hadn't magically jumped chapters. Using she instead of he, (which becomes surprisingly important when you're reading a sex scene), I can handle to an extent. But all the sudden having a character far away from another character when the paragraph before they were all up on each other is massively confusing. It seemed like paragraphs were edited with cut and paste without making the proper adjustments so that it made sense within their new placement. Or I read a digital copy that was seriously wonky. Which is possible.
