Infatuated : an Obsessed Novel
Liv is tired of watching her friends couple up while her own love life consists of a streak of disastrous dates. When her latest attempt at finding love on the internet nearly lands her on an episode of a true crime documentary, a striking stranger comes to the rescue.
Damien is older, mysterious and gorgeous. Everything she dreamed of, and Liv is instantly infatuated.
Finally, her luck has turned—until Kannon steps into the picture. Cynical and infuriating, he refuses to buy into Damien’s charm and constantly pushes Liv's buttons. Liv detests his constant interference, but she can’t shake a chilling thought. Is Kannon just an infuriating skeptic, or is there a much darker reason he’s trying to make her doubt Damien?

If you were a fan of Obsessed by Emily Camp then fasten your seatbelt because you are going to love Infatuated. Infatuated follows Liv whom we meet in Obsessed. But let me be clear, the two were not similar in the slightest to me at all despite other reviews.
Liv is tired of watching her friends couple up and nothing working out for her.
Liv is on a date with a jerk (quite literally that’s how he is referred to in the book) and in comes Damien her prince in shining armor or so she thinks. Damien saves her from this horrible date and they begin talking and getting to know each other. Damien is older than Liv and she’s attracted to him. Please keep in mind Liv met said jerk online then cue the mysterious stranger “Damien” coming into save her.
Damien and Liv relationship truly shines a light on manipulation and gaslighting like no other. Honestly, it’s wild how Emily Camp nails this. Because it’s so true. You see Liv battle within side her mind and with her feelings during this relationship.
Cue Kannon who is in Liv’s friend group. But the two of them annoy each other, well Liv is annoyed by Kannon. But they also have the perfect banter throughout this whole book. Kannon has a reputation of his own as he’s in and out of juvie. If there is a shot or dig to be taken Kannon and Liv will take it and take any opportunity to poke at each other and get under each other’s skin. I wouldn’t say enemies to lovers though more so irritation to lovers.
Infatuated is a slow burn ya romantic suspense that keeps you turning the page and invested in how this story will end. It’ll leave you frustrated and more than likely screaming at Liv and it’ll have you rooting for another character throughout the story. That suspense? It kicks in about 70% and Emily takes us on a journey and fear not the story is wrapped up to perfection for Liv.
Highly recommend picking up Infatuated if you are looking for a fast paced read that also shines a light on toxic relationships.

Infatuated by Emily Camp had me hooked right away. Liv is drawn to Damien, who is older, mysterious, gorgeous, and exactly like the kind of guy she has dreamed about. At first, it feels exciting and intense, like maybe her luck is finally changing. But as Damien’s charm starts to feel more dangerous than romantic, and Kannon steps into the picture, the story becomes so much more than a simple romance.
One of the things I appreciated most was how this book highlights the warning signs of toxic and manipulative relationships. It's such an important message, especially for teens and young adults who may not always recognize controlling behavior, emotional manipulation, or the subtle red flags that can escalate over time. Stories like this have the power to start important conversations and remind readers that healthy relationships should be built on trust, respect, and safety.
And Damien? I absolutely hated him, which is a huge credit to Emily Camp's writing. He was infuriating, manipulative, and the kind of character that made my blood boil every time he showed up. He felt disturbingly realistic, making the story even more impactful because people like him really do exist.
Overall, Infatuated is more than just an entertaining YA romantic suspense novel. It's a gripping story with meaningful lessons, relatable characters, and an important reminder that not every relationship is what it seems. I highly recommend it, especially for younger readers learning what love should and should not look like.

Infatuated is a powerful and unsettling look at the reality of obsessive and manipulative relationships. What makes this story so impactful is how relatable it feels—many readers will recognize the warning signs of a partner who is controlling, shifts blame, and constantly makes their behavior seem like someone else's fault.
Liv is a sympathetic protagonist whose hope that Damien can change keeps her trapped in a cycle that many people experience in real life. Her struggle feels authentic, as she wrestles with love, loyalty, and the desire to see the best in someone despite repeated red flags. As the story progresses, readers witness just how far Damien is willing to go to maintain control, creating a sense of tension and unease that builds throughout the book.
The author does an excellent job portraying the emotional manipulation that often accompanies toxic relationships. The story serves as both an engaging read and a reminder of how difficult it can be to recognize the full extent of someone's harmful behavior when you're emotionally invested in them.
Overall, Infatuated is a thought-provoking and emotional read that highlights the dangers of obsession, manipulation, and misplaced hope. Readers who enjoy realistic relationship drama with important underlying themes will find plenty to discuss long after finishing.

This one started out kinda slow for me, but quickly picked up, and after that I was hooked.
I love how Emily brought out complex relationship issues that people go through and face everyday. I think at some point we have all been in some sort of relationship like this. Maybe not to that extent but the gaslighting and the narcissistic aspects, is way too common and needs to be talked about more.
I absolutely loved Kannon and Liv. Their Banter and the fact that they had pretty much been made for each other. The whole friendship vibe in this book is so good!
Damien is a ruthless piece of crap and deserves every thing that’s being handed to him and then some. If you’ve read obsessed then you need to read this one, it follows the same friends but touches on a totally different topic and was so good.

This was a lighter read, one that you won’t want to place down. I started laughing right at the first chapter when “jerk” made his entrance and cheering Liv on in her ending. The flow is even paced where the time passes without you(the reader) getting bored. Clean language, but hard conversations. Here is what really makes me love this book especially for young adults. Too many girls miss red flags in relationships and those of us who have lived similar circumstances don’t speak to younger women about how to listen to our intuition or even how to reach out for help. How to have strength during and walk away before things get really bad. This book touches those topics with supportive friend, twists and turns, humor and suspense.

if you are a fan of obsessed, then you need to read this . This story follows Liv , Avery’s friend from Obsessed. Liv was always the third wheel and wasn’t really ever into guys for a relationship. none of the guys matched what she wanted , until she met Damien . He was everything she ever wanted or looked for in a guy, of course she falls head over heels for him . Until everything isn’t fine , he becomes possessive and controlling. He wants her all to himself and thinks she belongs to him . From the moment you start this book , you will be hooked and wanting to find out what’s happens. Does she stay with him or does she ever have her happy ending? I loved this book so much! I couldn’t get enough of it , Emily never fails to amaze me with her books.

This book had me thinking it was going in one direction and then, "BAM" it went in another. It was never ending drama with twists. I loved how this had characters from Obsessed but was completely focused on Liv and Damien. Their relationship is new but she feels like she finally found someone that she could have a future with. It's Liv's senior year of high school and she's do excited to have a boyfriend to bring around, until Kannon is around at the same time. He's part of her friend group, but they aren't close and she argue about everything. But when she needs a friend, he's the last one she expected to be there. Since when is Liv going to him for support?

I’m so lucky to have found this author and become a member of her ARC team. YA/New Adult is one of my favs and Emily knows how to hit it out of the park every time. Liv’s story kept me on the edge of my kindle and also had me wanting to throw it out the window! I was yelling at her the whole time. Liv wake up and smell the coffee friend!!! I was so immersed in the book I didn’t want it to end. Will there be a book 3 in the series? Book 1 and 2 have been my fav of this author. Check it out today!

I received this book as an arc. When I started it I saw it going in a different direction than what I thought it would. That’s always good. With Emily Camp she’s always bringing the surprises and punches throughout the entire book. I love a good mystery and this is exactly what she delivered once again!!! I can’t say enough good things about this one. If you enjoy a good YA thriller then you should read this book.

This book was absolutely phenomenal! I was nervous about this living up to the hype of Obsessed (book 1) but wow, this was actually insane! Dare I say that I liked this one even better than Obsessed! I loved Kannon so much and honestly need more of him! He was the perfect book boyfriend for Liv! I am so excited for readers to get their hands on this book! Thank you so much to Emily Camp for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I'm praying that we get a book 3!

Great read!
I already signed up for arc and preordered this book, before as well buying a digital copy of it. I really enjoyed Obsessed the first book in the series. Even though book has a lot of the same characters again Infatuated can be read without reading the first book. It is quicker spaced so it keeps you moving and drag out the story in book like some books can be. Which if i really had a complaint about this book it would be that. At first was unsure how much I would like this book compared to the first one. But I enjoyed Infatuated just as much as the first book

Emily has done it again! This is a standout in the Young Adult genre—deeply compelling and unsettlingly plausible. The narrative hits close to home, and the realism is genuinely chilling. I highly recommend this for parents of high school and college-aged daughters; it’s an important read, though be prepared—it is an intense and impactful journey.

Emily you outdone yourself this time girl! This book was amazing you went a way I didnt expect from Livs story but im glad you did! You kept me on my toes to say the least and i found myself feeling just as axsious as Liv was! It was really amazing Em! I am choosing to believe this is not the end of their story😁

Liv’s story isn’t a unique one. I believe throughout live we always have a friend group that’s always in couple relationships and you want that also. So when you get into a relationship you think it’s the right one. Sometimes you have to get out of the honeymoon phase to see the true person. That’s what happened to Liv. Read to see what happens and how her fairytale ends.

I just finished reading Infatuated and I could not put it down! If you like the movie "Fear" with Mark Wahlberg, this is so much better.
The story was incredibly fast-paced and had me wanting to stay up all night reading. Toward the end, it really had my heart racing, and the ending was perfect. I highly recommend adding it to your reading list.

Thank you Emily for the opportunity to read this book.
Damn. The way Emily wrote this book to show the red flags and the obstacles that teens may miss. Even as an adult I relate so much to this story.
Liv meets Damien on a date gone bad. She had met this guy on a dating site and turned out after dinner he expected her to pay with her body. Damien saved her. They exchanged social media and communication began. My relation to this starts off with the guy always begins as everything you've wanted the perfect guy until he wasn't. Then Jan on comes into the picture he's Avery cousin and him and liv were always at each other teasing and being sassy.
The obstacles everyone goes through on this journey I couldn't put the book down but man could I relate I hope YA reads this and keeps those flags in their back of they head and are aware.

If you loved Obsessed, then you’ll absolutely adore Infatuated! I have read it twice and never lost interest. As always, Emily keeps you on your toes, not wanting to put the book down and wanting to finish reading it all in one night.

This is an ARC review. Binged this so fast. Another reviewer seemed to get the same vibes as me from this book because I also thought of the movie Fear but more YA. I enjoyed reading obsessed and this back to back and getting to know Liv a bit more. 5/5!

This book lives up to the high standards set by "Obsessed." It was lovely to see the characters again. Liv faces many challenges, and the suspense, mystery, and supportive presence of Avay help her, her friends, and her family through difficult times. Damien’s not a great person. 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

I just finished reading an arc version of the book. It kept me wanting to find out how it ends. So far I love all the books Emily Camp books I read. This is among them even though it is not out yet. It is highly recommended when it comes out. You need to read it.

This book kept me on my toes! I knew something would happen, but never when, and WHAT! Damien is a certified psycho, but its a great story of second chances. You wont want to put it down! Also WAY TO GO LIV for finally sticking to her guns, and staying spicy!!!

Was so excited to get to read this- I loved book 1! This book captures what many feel when they deal with someone who treats them like crap and expects you to stand by and take it, be prepared as you go on an emotional rollercoaster and suspense you won't see coming.
Be ready to meet Damien!!

A perfect YA Suspense
Finished this book in a day. It was so good. I could feel everything building up throughout the entire book. Which kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for the moment all hell broke loose and boy did.
One word to describe this book, narcissist.

Good writing but mainly the same story as Obsessed. Disappointed because she could have went alot of places with these characters and didnt need to repeat Avery's story here.

It was okay but I preferred obsessed better but this did give me some inspiration for me to write my own book series that I wish to write at somepoint this year but it was okay 👍

Loved this book!! So many women can relate to Liv, wanting to be loved and accepted for who she is. Thats one of the reasons I was drawn to this book. I loved the banter and hate/love relationship Liv and Kannon have, and liked that the switch between her feelings towards him were gradual and he patiently supported her even though it was obvious he was pining behind the jabs they both threw at each other.
Kannon was a dick but still showed up for Liv.
Damien can rot in hell. Lol not a fan of manipulative, narsacistic men whether they are real or fictional.
