I've only read two books in this box set so far, but both were gems. Vigilant is what I wished every comic-book-inspired novel was but that so few actually turn out to be --- superheroes working to keep the world safe, but with three-dimensional characters and plenty of shades of grey. Speaking of grey, Summoned took a while to suck me in since the protagonist seemed so very bad, but before long the hit-man genie was tugging at my heart strings. I can hardly wait to read the other 19 novels!

So far I've read Changling by Herbert and thoroughly enjoyed it! This new adult fae tale is not only a wicked mix of light and dark, it reflects the author's research of crystals, tarot, absinthe and the like to bring depth to the story. She even wrote a slew of little poems/spells! I caught myself more than once rereading a line because I loved a unique analogy or turn of phrase. However the rest of the collection goes, it will be worth it for this well researched tale.
(no cliffhanger! Bonus!)

I have read a few of the books in this set, & here are my reviews for a couple of them:

The Forever Girl- I fell hard for this novel! I couldn't put it down once I started it. Rebecca did a wonderful job of character building and description/imagery. I loved Sophia as a heroine/main protagonist, because she was relatable. I am definitely a fan of this author, & can't wait to read anything that she puts out!

Summoned- This was a beautifully written piece, and captured my attention from the beginning. It was very different from much of the other paranormal/fantasy books that I've read, and it was a welcomed reprieve. I can't wait for more from this author!

This box set must be the snip buy of the summer. I have only read two of the books so far THE FOREVER GIRL and TAKEN BY THE BEAST ( Rebecca Hamilton's contribution ) and they are two of the best stories in this genre I've ever read. With other authors such as Rainy Kaye etc to follow this box set can't fail. At this price it is the bargain of the year and A MUST TO HAVE READY FOR YOUR SUMMERS READING.

Some stories were great i had to go buy the others that followed

Like most book like this one you choose which ones to read or move on from. There are some that are great but wouldn't go buy the collection. Others, the devils cool for example, is one i couldn't wait to get to second book.
Enjoy the ones you like, skip the ones you feel blah with

From the stories in this book I've read, so far, I would say that this paranormal anthology is worth every penny! I don't usually go for paranormal stories, but with this anthology, I've changed my mind! I am now a big fan of paranormal stories, where authors take us into their worlds of magic, witches, immortals and so much more!!!

BRAVING FATE by LINSEY HALL
The story is very enjoyable, gripping and very well written. A story that transcends time, worldly planes and war. A roller coaster ride that will bring you revenge, betrayal, compassion and love.

The characters are both fierce, yet so wracked with the different crippling emotions that are somehow keeping them from fully opening themselves to each other. However, Diana's strong personality and Cadan's protective nature will work at their disadvantage in facing Diana's fate.

SPARK RISING by KATE CORCINO
This is truly an enjoyable read.

I liked Lena's strong character, her motivation to survive and her desire to help other people are such noteworthy traits, especially when she is being hunted down by the Council.

The storyline is so inspired, I can't believe this is a book about sparks and dust. I felt Lena's dust surrounding me, as I read the book. This action adventure was so gripping and fast-paced, I felt bad when I realized I'm at the end of the book.

I am so impressed with Ms. Corcino's writing, she made me want to stay in her world of sparks and dust, where people glow and girls are extra special.

PANDORA PRINCIPLE by NOREE COSPER
I loved it!

This is a story about Cassi: a girl who is just trying to live a life of normalcy, trying to ignore the fate she was born into, and falling for the guy she was warned against.

I enjoyed the way the author presented the story - fast-paced, action-packed, light and enjoyable. The characters had me intrigued and are relatable.

I am excited to read the rest of Cassi's adventures.

CURSED by LUCY LEROUX
I really enjoyed the action and magic of this story, I finished it in one sitting!!! It's page-turning, fast-paced, magical romance with lots of action and where the heroine saves the day!!!

Ms. Leroux presented the story in such a way that it will transport you to the magical world of Isobel - you will feel her frustration, desperation, confusion and her powers! It was such a ride!!!

After Cursed, I would definitely want to read more of Ms. Leroux's works!

Secret Worlds

Overall this box set was fantastic. Each individual novel brought a new tail to the table and held it own supernatural twist in the different authors storytelling. Several stories proceed my curiosity in purchasing the follow-up in the series. Opening more avenues into new authors to add to my library. Worthy purchase and other readers should take advantage of this great offer.

Eve is a witch but her parents treat her with torture and hate..
She is tricked by love.. then betrayed by friends...
Then saved again by someone who gives her space and time to heal...
She needs to find someone who has been in her dreams...
I am completely captivated..

Spark Rising
Kate Corino
Post Apocalypse. .
Nanos were created as a weapon... but something went wrong.. they destroyed all fossil fuels. . this is a bit of a stretch!!.
This assumes no solar.. no hydro.. no wind farms.. once you can gt over that hurdle it is good... better than good
The nanos have covered the earth as dust but they are lonely.. some children are born with the ability to force nanos to power battery packs... but she talks to them and instead of forcing the nanos to perform the nanos want to help her.
fresh and innovative....

Hunted by A J Colby
She survived a vicious attack that left her a werewolf. .then her attacter escapes jail and the FBI send two agents to protect her.
one makes her wolf sing and the other makes her shiver with dread..
Wonderful story... unexpected turns
This is a wonderful collection and it caters to a wide range of readers.. some books I did not like but others I loved... I will be looking up some of these authors again.. There is enough variety for everyone to find something that makes them happy

Loved Changeling and Braving Fate, can't wait to read the rest!

Whenever I get one of Debbie's books, I always make the mistake of saying I'll just take a little peek and then getting sucked in for much longer than I intended. Changeling was no different. Herbert does a great job of tackling the new adult genre with her two characters Skye and Keelan, both of whom are struggling to find their place in the world and are seeking to assume their true identity, whatever that may be.

Skye is a witch who isn't very good at it. Keelan is a changeling who is trapped working for the fairies, which seems like it would make a good reality show if it wasn't so awful for him. Although I figured out one major twist pretty quickly, I did find the story to be well-paced and extremely entertaining, and I loved the characters. I don't want to give away too much of the plot, but let's just say that all those dreams I have about flying? I'd be extra nervous about them now if I wasn't as old as I am. Plus, my feelings about absinthe indicate I have no fairy blood in me whatsoever, so I'm probably safe.

Overall, this is a really fun book, and I enthusiastically give it five stars.

I've also read Linsey Hall's debut PNR Braving Fate and thought I reviewed it, but apparently not. It's been a while, but I remember the writing as fabulous, the plot well-paced, and the sex scenes entertaining even beyond how they're supposed to entertain you. I'm currently reading the sequel and enjoying it just as much.

The quality of these two books makes me want to read the rest of the set even more.

Changeling:
Skye is a witch, who isn't very good at casting spells. She wants to create a love spell to make Tanner, her brother's friend, have feelings for her. But when she tells him the truth, he doesn't see her that way. Kheelan, a Changeling, was taken from his real parents when he was around two by the fae, and has been essentially a slave to them his whole life. When he learns that Skye is The One, that will save the Seelie Faries from the Unseelie Faries, he wants to be able to escort her there so he can get his freedom. Kheelan also learns that, The Green Fairy, where Skye works is the main place where the Pixie are being murdered, he believes it's her boss, Claribel, but Skye doesn't believe that because Claribel loves the Pixie. With Samhain approaching, will Skye be able to save the Seelie before it's too late? Will Kheelan ever gain his freedom or will he be tricked by the fae, after all, they are tricksters. Find out all of your questions when you read this book! Love this author and fell in love with another one of her books!

So far I have only read Braving Fate, so I can only give a review for that. However, this set sounds great, and I'm looking forward to exploring a lot of new authors with all these books. Here is my review for Braving Fate.
I really enjoyed everything in this book. It had a beautiful blending of history, mythology, and supernatural. The result was a very unique and creative world, and I can't wait to experience more of it. I absolutely loved the reincarnation in this story, and how it affects the characters. Marvelous! I'm always impressed when an author can make me feel bad for a villain. It's a surprise twist that makes me stop for a second and actually smile. I like that kind of twist. Also, I think that it is really cool that Linsey Hall took an historical figure and gave her an amazing story. That is just awesome! I really recommend this book, and I'm sure it is a fantastic series too. These characters rock! I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Not a bad set at all. I didnt read them all just ones I was interested in which were about half. I bought this awhile ago and its taken me a long time to read. I think box sets like this have burned me out because a lot of the books in them arent all that good. Not saying these suck but you know what I mean. I used to buy these types all the time because of the good deals. My time is valuable now so I actually stopped buying boxed sets and just buy books I want because in the long run its better. Figured I would go ahead and read this though. I don't have a favorite of the ones I read. I think I liked the first few compared to the last ones. I am not sure why but it seems the books at the front of these box sets are better lol. Nothing sticks out as very special but a decent set.

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.
Of course I loved the book! I was unsure in the beginning how the plot twists would play out but like always I am always surprised and left wanting more!

Charisse is a well to do model from the big city and comes back to her home town. The way she left it isn't how she came back to it. Secrets and mystery surrounds the quaint town. And Charisse is learning quickly not everything is what it seems. There is something in the woods, and when she finds out what's really going on, you'll be as shocked as I was!

The characters are well thought out, and put together nicely. There isn't too much going on and it's easy to follow the story line. I am impressed with the imaginations of these two authors.

Never a dull moment and can't wait to read the rest of the books in the set! Well done to Hamilton and Kressley, I cannot wait to read more!

The Pandora Principle:

This is a tale of love, friendship and accepting one's true fate. This is my first dive into the paranormal romance realm and I have to say I enjoyed it. I'm not a big romance fan but this was different from what i expected it. theres romance in there but there is more to it. Despite a few errors, I couldn't put this book down. I had to read more about what lie before her and the impending outcome of it all. Cassie wants to live a normal life but finds that difficult to do when tragedy strikes and she discovers she's not the only one with a secret.

Changeling--Debbie Herbert
3.5 stars

A sweet paranormal romance between a changeling (forced to serve a series of cruel, capricious fae after being stolen at the age of 2) and a witch with unreliable powers. She teaches him how to love and trust. He helps her discover her true potential.

Together, they try to discover who is responsible for killing pixies on the eve of Samhain...and possibly, how to gain his freedom.

Some good authors and stories in this book

There are some really good stories in here. I'm sure you know who you are. However, to the authors that made sex the story.... we have to like our protagonist. There also needs to be flow to a story, not stuff happening without any backup to it. Fill out your story and make your main character likeable and relatable, it g realise you will lose your reader.

Moonlight by Katie Salidas
I am going right to her book first. I love everything she has written. Moonlight starts out leaving you needing a cold shower. It's a quick paced excitingly fun read. This is a great shifter drama. The personality of her characters keep you emotionally involved.

Unequal stories. Some were more YA, while others were heavily erotic. Going from one type of story to the other was often a shock. I would have preferred that the stories would have been less disparate. They may all have been paranormal romances, but the kind of romances represented were vastly different. Some were just too rough for my taste. But the YA ones were enjoyable.

It's so good I need more stars!

In all of the books I've read over the years there are usually a few clunkers mixed in with the Jems. This compilation contains nothing but excellent stories. A huge variety of tales will keep you entranced for days, each author a star in their own right. Definitely leaves you wanting more.
