This fairy tale is for adults. It contains sexually explicit scenes.
Lady Luciana Vasalio is left to the mercy of her cruel stepmother after the death of her father. Forced to work as a servant in her own manor, she hopes that her fortunes will soon change but fears they never will. Although thrilled to be invited to the kingdom’s harvest ball, she is dismayed when her stepmother allows her to only wear a simple dress that will make her stick out in a sea of fancy gowns and costumes.
Prince Montano Kalliste is in desperate need of a bride, but he is hard-pressed to find one in a country full of women who will not accept his shifter ability. The king has demanded that he select a woman at the harvest ball or have one selected for him. But Montano wants to make his own choice of mate - and a lovely young woman named Luciana draws his eye. After a night of romance, he accidentally shifts into his bear form beside her in bed. Can he make her understand his other side, or will it frighten her away for good?
The Bear Inside Her is a Cinderella-style short story.
Many authors try to retell the classics with varying success. This is one of the better attempts. Not really an attempt as it does a really good job of breathing new shifter life into an old fairy tale. It was fast. It was cute and fun to read. I would definitely recommend it as a quick read.
