I don’t have enough words for this one. Straight fire. That’s what we burn. My gods, the heat on these pages… someone send me a FAN.
We jump right back into the filthy with consent why choose family of FIVE boyfriends. FIVE. Let me type that slower for you. FIIIIIIIIIVE. Eve Riche knows her audience, because we don’t even get a whole heartbeat from the end of What We Bury where this one kicks off.
From there, my friends, it is a RIDE. We get to see Eli and all his moodiness. The boy could give Hot Topic a run for their money on emo. We get to see Knox… be Knox. But also. Did you know Knox laughs? HE LAUGHS FAM. And baby Milo with his mile a minute energy, we get a itsy bitsy and very complicated look into my boy’s past. All that go-go gadget energy comes from somewhere!
We are still dealing with Brock, who has amazing communication skills for a mfer that is supposed to be super, duper unalive. And the mystery of Stephen continues. Fury is out in full force and baby, we love to see it. Burn girl, burn!
And then, the writing duo delight that is Eve Riche, JUST UP AND ENDS IT ON A CLIFFHANGER! Why do you hate us? Why do you torture us? Is this the literary equivalent of edging? That’s it isn’t it. I see you Eve Riche. I see you.

I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT!!
I had my thoughts and suspicions after book 1 and they were confirmed!
So you NEED to read book 1 before you get into this one because the story will make more sense.
Sage is recovering, the boys are hovering, and they are inching closer to who hurt Sage and who is Stephen...
Their little group is growing closer and really becoming a family. Although there is a ton of spice, the deep love they all have for each other and the dynamic they have grows in this book. Legit, they would all crumble if something happened to Sage.
Sage, on the other hand is ready to become a hangman and wants to prove herself to Odin, but will doing so put her in harms way? Will they be able to clean up the mess she made? Who will burn?

Book 2 was just as captivating and entertaining as What We Bury. The group faces new developments that shift the dynamics of some of the relationships, adding even more layers to an already intriguing storyline.
My thoughts:
🔪I especially love that the author continues with six POVs. Each character brings their own perspective and personality to the story, giving the series so much depth while keeping the narrative engaging.
🔪Sage, the FMC, and the centre of the series now has a hunger for justice and is determined to prove she’s worthy of joining the “Hangman” team of vigilantes. In this book, we see her struggle to find a sense of safety and purpose after everything she’s endured. We also see a found family who loves deeply to protect and provide the safety Sage needs. Events of her past have changed her, and she is embracing her new self and the power that it holds.
🔪The author went darker and spicier this time, so be prepared for some unpredictable ❤️🔥🌶️🥵
🔪This is definitely a series that requires an open mind, and trust me, you’ll be rewarded with plenty of hilarious commentary from the guys alongside the seriousness of the mystery they’re all tangled up in.
🔪And wow, Yes, this one is just under 700 pages, but that didn’t stop or slow me down. This series is so gripping that you’ll find yourself avoiding all responsibilities because you can’t put it down as you need to know what happens next!
If you enjoyed What We Bury, you definitely need to keep going with this series! 🔥🥵
And that ending 🤯🫣 I think book 3 is going to be explosive 🫨

I think I hated this.
Not in the sense that the writing was bad, although, pretty freaking predictable (saw that plot twist from book one!), but in the sense that I absolutely hated the relationship dynamic between Eli and Micah and the rest of the group.
Before I dive in, I rated the first book 4.5 stars so don’t come at me!!
The vibes I got from Eli in book two is that Sage is only mediocre so it’s fine that she gets passed around but Micah needs to be held on a pedestal. Eli’s love for Micah trumps his dick’s feelings for Sage apparently, which is exactly how he acted because there was no emotional connection between the two, like at all. And Micah? What’s his role here other than to be in love with someone other than Sage? Micah and Sage have no emotional connection either. They could leave the chat and the book would actually be better.
Also, do grown adults just simply not communicate? I guess once you’re in a polyamory relationship the need for communication just falls to the wayside because there’s always someone else willing to warm your bed 🙄 NO.. just no!!

Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 4.5/5 ➡️➡️➡️ Well, the second installment does not let you down. It absolutely gains momentum.
Sage is learning to navigate leaving with her five men and their multiple personalities. She wants to be a hangman even more after her recovery.
Milo’s family dynamic needs more explanation. The shock collars, the being delusional, the burial plots?! What kind of show is Gloria running?
Eli and Micah. Holden and Milo. It’s kind of fitting. It’s kind of perfect balance. They’re all sweet together. Fully along for that ride.
Sage going all vigilante by herself? Also fully supported. Blessed be the Milo.
The Jamie confession? Kind of saw that coming. How it played out… didn’t see that coming, but we knew he was the fit.
Ends on a cliffy. I CANNOT WAIT FOR BOOK THREE.

This story is so gripping and so well written I get lost down the loophole that is the Hangmen!
Book 2 continues from sages “hanging”.. and the aftermath! How they cope as a harem , the job the clean ups the world outside .
And the progression of the relationships 🙌🙌 yes and yes & yes!! I was sooo hoping for the second set of boyfriends to happen( when you read you’ll know) and the cliffhanger ending!! OMG !! I gasped !! I cannot wait for the last part ( and sad that it’s the last part)
I’m fully embedded into this story!!

Fantastic follow up!
This one picked up right where book one ended, and the twists just kept coming. I loved how the guys rallied not just around Sage, but each other. There were plenty of moments where I wanted to shake them, but they really weather quite a few storms until that insane ending. It’s like I knew that cliffhanger was coming, but I didn't want to believe it. I can't wait for the next book…

I knew it!!! That’s all I’ll say about that. I don’t love Sage, but I LOVE the guys. They’re written so well, which can get complicated with so many men , and it’s been fun watching them grow as people. I can’t wait for book 3.

Something rare happened here—the second installment was just as amazing as the first 😱 Once again, I was completely enraptured from the start! I absolutely adore this series and these characters. I’m both anxious for and dreading the final installment. I don’t want it to be over, but I for sure want to read it (like right now, please)!
Also once again—buckle in, I have a lot to say (all good things!)
Let’s start with talking about our main characters:
“I don’t even want to pretend to be normal anymore.”
Sage’s story made me tear up with heartbreak for her. She is one of the strongest FMCs I’ve read about in a long time. She doesn’t let anything keep her down for long.
Shes grown and changed so much since the beginning of the first book, it’s like a whole different woman. She has a savage thing inside of her that built up over time and over each terrible injustice she’s endured, and with her guys, it’s finally able to be set free.

“Knox is sexy all of the time. But he’s sexy as f*ck when he’s in security mode. The man is in all black, sleeves rolled, looking like a wet dream or a man you’d cross the street to avoid—depending on your risk tolerance.”
Knox, our strong silent protector. I love him so much 😭 He is always there, not just for Sage (but yes, especially for her), but for the whole group. He may be quiet, but his presence holds the group together in a way I’m not sure they all even consciously realize. There never any hesitation if one of them needs something. He just does it, and I love him for that.
“My schedule for the foreseeable future is one item long: wherever Fury is.”

“I haven’t forgiven him. I don’t have that in me yet. But love doesn’t wait for forgiveness. It sits there, inconvenient and unkillable, like a weed growing through concrete and attempting to bloom into a flower.”
First of all, Eli’s shame corner 🤣 It was well-deserved lol. At one point I was actually starting to…feel bad for Eli? 😱 He was an idiot to put it lightly, but he was coming from a good place. He got the penance he deserved. But also like, he was so lost and alone that I started feeling bad for the guy. But don’t worry, he gets what he needs, as does Sage…eventually.
“You’re a man who built himself a cage and then forgot the door could open.”

‘Milo looks up from his laptop. “Shit, are we going full fight club? Hot. Let’s all take our shirts off.” ‘
Milo made me genuinely laugh out loud more times than I could count. He just says the most wild sh*t and it’s hilarious every time.
“You told your mother about me.” “I tell my mother everything. She’s my mom.”
I loved getting to learn about Milo’s family. Omg it really does make so much sense! We also got to see deeper into Milo’s psyche (yes, a little scary) and see a depth to him that makes you love him even more (if that’s possible??)
“Milo fills silence the way most people fill lungs. When he goes quiet, the air gets thin.”

“Moonlight from between the blinds catches on the planes of his face—soft mouth, long lashes, the kind eyes that always make people underestimate what lives underneath them.”
Micah continued to be our sweet, steady guy. But he also opened up a bunch and we got to see some different sides of him, which was great.

“But lying here with her heartbeat against my ribs, I understand something I didn’t before. Terror. The knowledge that someone you love is walking through a world that wants to hurt them, and you can’t be everywhere, can’t stop everything, can’t build a wall high enough or wide enough to keep it all out.”
Holden. OMFG. It’s possible that I have a new favorite. For so many reasons. That’s all I’ll say on that one 😉
“He’s got that whole brooding, badge-and-trauma package. Very sexy. Super marketable.”

The found family aspect and the way they all care for one another made my chest ache. I love them all so much and I love how much they love one another. And Lawn bowls continued to be endlessly entertaining 😂
They’re all in a tough spot in this one. Sage, having almost died and now with an active and very real threat against her, understands that she’s in danger. But she also doesn’t want to be kept, and particularly, doesn’t want to be kept in the dark. The guys just want her to be safe and well, and finding the balance between protecting her and letting her in the fold (or out of the house) is no small task. The way they work through this piece just shows how perfect they all are together.
Okay and the spice? It’s hot. It’s frequent. It’s perfect. That’s all you need to know—just read it. What we burn is definitely the correct title here. The club scene?? I died. I’m actually deceased and I’m writing this as a ghost.

To the authors: I’m in love with your brains. AndI cannot stress this enough. I enjoyed every moment of this book, just like the first. I feel like I’ve struck gold with this series and these authors, and I do in fact need the entire world to know about it.
Like with the Italian Nonna reference in the first book, there are just so many oddly specific things that I relate to lol. Winning a giant penguin from a ring toss. The patella reference (long story 😭😂). I think it’s a sign lol.
I took longer to read this than I wanted to, but it’s partly because the writing was so gorgeous. I had to stop and admire it (frequently) and I certainly didn’t want to rush through it (though I DID on the other hand because I needed to know what would happen next). Though it was mostly due to life that I took so long. I will say, I struggled to put it down when I did get the opportunity to read, and I was thinking about it when I wasn’t reading it—that’s how you know it’s on another level of great.
There are a handful of books that I always remember for how well written they are, and this one is now on the list. The ability to have such entertaining and often comedic narration between the intensely serious moments and woven into the dark subject matter is something to be applauded.
Also once again, I feel like the autbors are in my mind, or I’m in theirs. Every time I had a thought or question, it happened or it was addressed. The details are so important and in so many books, I unfortunately find them lacking. That is not at all the case here. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for this book and its attention to detail! It’s truly a gem for that reason (among a thousand others).

Book two picks up right where What We Bury left me—still emotionally attached to these five completely unhinged masked vigilantes and still wondering how this woman somehow managed to become the most dangerous person in the room.

And she wants in on the revenge.
Honestly, watching her go from someone the Hangmen needed to protect to someone who is fully willing to stand beside them was one of my favorite parts of this book.
And the Hangmen?
These five psychos have officially entered the "we almost lost her and have collectively lost our damn minds" phase.
Micah continues to be the softer presence, but there are cracks underneath all that sweetness that make his character even more interesting.
Holden's need for control goes into overdrive, and watching him try to cope with his fear by controlling absolutely everything around her was both frustrating and entertaining.
Milo is still Milo—stalking as a love language, inappropriate humor at exactly the wrong moments, and somehow making me laugh during scenes where I probably shouldn't have been laughing.
Knox is basically handing her the tools to become even more dangerous while simultaneously positioning himself between her and anything that might hurt her.
And Eli...

The spice definitely gets turned up in this book, too. There are some very interesting developments in the relationship dynamics, including a bi-awakening and some serious "crossing swords" energy. Let's just say this book isn't exactly lacking in heat.
This story gets DARK, but the humor keeps it from becoming relentlessly heavy. There were multiple moments where I found myself laughing at something absolutely horrifying, which feels very on-brand for this series.
The tension kept me turning pages because even when things seemed relatively calm, there was always that feeling that something was hiding just beneath the surface.
And then...
THE CLIFFHANGER.
Again.
If you're looking for five morally grey masked vigilantes, a trauma survivor with a knife and a grudge, found family with a body count, serious spice, a bi-awakening, dark comedy in the middle of a bloodbath, slow-burn danger, revenge, possessive psychos, no cheating, no OW drama, and yet another cliffhanger designed specifically to ruin your evening...
And after that ending, I need Book 3 immediately.
Book two picks up right where What We Bury left me—still emotionally attached to these five completely unhinged masked vigilantes and still wondering how this woman somehow managed to become the most dangerous person in the room.

And somehow… she succeeded.
What We Burn picks up the story of Sage and her five men and throws us straight back into the chaos. There is absolutely no easing into this one. The relationship dynamics continue to evolve, the emotional stakes get higher, and every single man brings something completely different to the table.
And yes… FIVE MEN.
I will never get tired of saying that. 😏
What I loved most about this installment was getting deeper into each of them. We see more vulnerability, more of their individual personalities, and plenty of moments that made me understand why Sage fits so naturally into this complicated little found family.
Knox continues to be that steady presence—the one who feels like a safe place when everything else is falling apart.
Eli absolutely stole some of my attention in this book. Watching him slowly let his guard down and become more emotionally connected was one of my favorite parts.
Holden is… well, Holden. 😂 The man is ridiculously attractive, particular about everything, and somehow manages to make that combination work.
Micah brings another layer to the relationship dynamics, and I loved seeing how naturally his connection with Sage—and with the other men—continues to develop.
And then there’s Milo.
LOUD. CHAOTIC. UNFILTERED. ADORABLE.
Basically a human golden retriever with absolutely no volume control. 😂 He brings so much humor and lightness to an otherwise very dark story.
The balance between the darker elements and the humor worked SO well for me. There were moments where I was completely invested in the heavier emotional side of the story, only to have one of these men say or do something that had me laughing.
And the spice? 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Yeah… there’s plenty of it.
But beyond the heat, I really appreciated the character development and relationship progression. This feels like a story that is about more than just the romance. There are complicated histories, unresolved questions, emotional wounds, and plenty of things still lurking beneath the surface.
Which brings me to that ENDING.

I genuinely thought I was being rewarded for making it through the book and then the author decided to emotionally drop-kick me instead. 😂
That cliffhanger had me staring at the page like:
“You cannot possibly end it THERE.”
Apparently, she can.
Now I’m left with approximately 47 questions, zero patience, and an immediate need for the next book.
Final verdict:
Dark, spicy, messy, emotional, hilarious, and completely addictive.
This series has officially become one of those reads where I’m emotionally attached to fictional people who have absolutely no business occupying this much space in my brain.

I just finished What We Burn by Eve Riche, book 2 in the Hangmen Trilogy, and it is another instant 5⭐️ read for me! I loved it so much! It picks up right where book 1 left off, and it ends on another brutal cliffhanger! I need book 3 (What We Become) right now!!!
I can’t get enough of this series. It’s dark and twisted but also laugh out loud funny and deeply loving. All the Hangmen have a permanent place in my heart: Eli, Holden, Knox, Micah, and Milo! Definitely check your trigger warnings before diving in ⚠️
Sage is still being targeted, and her guys are on her like white on rice to keep her safe. Lots of bad men, lots of bodies dropping… can they actually keep Sage safe with this much carnage? As much as Sage appreciates their protection, she feels suffocated sometimes and just wants to live normally. She also wants to be in the room with the Hangmen when decisions are being made. She’s definitely a badass FMC who can hold her own and cause a little chaos. Sage is one lucky girl with all these guys who will literally burn the world down for her!
Each guy brings something completely different to the table, making their unit whole. The BBQ dinner at Milo’s mother’s house was so wildly funny, and the carnival scene was another absolute highlight. I also love Sage and Amy’s friendship, true girls’ girl energy.
The spice is DEFINITELY spicing in this one. Whether it’s 1 on 1 or 1 on 2, 3, 4, or 5, it is top-tier! Like, how?! Haha, but they make it work so well. There are also some fun curiosities that get explored between them 👀
And with that ending? I knew it! I should seriously be a detective haha (even though for a minute there I thought I was wrong!)
I can go on and on and on about all the things and all the feels, but I want you to experience it for yourself. I highlighted almost the entire book, there were so many incredible lines and unforgettable parts (especially anything involving Milo!). I promise you won’t be disappointed… this book has it all! And we like 'em thick! This is 742 pages and absolutely phenomenal!!

This storyline had me hooked from the very start. The group is still looking over their shoulders, with Stephen continuing to track them down over what happened with Brock. Sage thinks she’s doing a good job of keeping things from the men, but by now she should know that these men will do anything and everything to keep her safe.
Eli and Micah, in particular, struggle with their feelings for each other after what happened to Sage. Sage loves her men, but there are times when she feels suffocated. After everything that has happened, she understands why they are so protective, but that doesn’t mean she has to like it. She wants to feel like she has some control over her own life again.
Sage is more determined than ever to become a true part of their group and to help mete out the justice that the system has failed to deliver to victims. But can she rein in her emotions and play by their rules, or will her determination to do what she believes is right take her off script and cause even more problems for the men?
Once again, this story had my nose glued to the page. The pacing flows really well, balancing the situation they are dealing with now with the emotional rollercoaster that has picked up speed since the night they met. We get to see how everything that happened has affected each of them and how they are coping with the aftermath—some much better than others.
I particularly enjoyed seeing Sage fighting to get her life back and regain that feeling of control. She doesn’t want to be defined by what happened to her, and she certainly doesn’t want to spend her life being protected and kept in the dark. But can she really keep her two worlds separate and continue compartmentalising everything, especially when her friends remain completely oblivious to what is really happening in her life?
There is plenty of emotion, tension, danger, and relationship drama woven throughout the story, and I was completely invested in seeing where everything would lead. The fallout from that fateful night is far from over.
The book leaves us on another cliffhanger, and I can't wait until it's released to find out how it plays out.

After surviving a horrific incident, the Hangmen have decided the best way to protect Sage is to keep her heavily guarded. It’s understandable - she’s become the center of their world. But does she want to tolerate all their hovering? Of course not. 😂
She did frustrate me at times because, like, girl… you almost DIED. Of course they want to protect you! I completely understand wanting her freedom, but sometimes she felt a little naive about the bigger picture. Fight for your independence, yes, but maybe also acknowledge that these five psychos have a point occasionally. 😂
That said, I really enjoyed watching Sage push back. Surviving and dealing with the aftermath of her trauma didn’t make her weak - it gave her teeth. She wants in on the vigilante justice, and she’s going to make it happen whether she’s given an official mask or not.
And then there are the Hangmen, who have collectively lost their minds after nearly losing Sage. They genuinely believe they’re doing what’s best for her, but they just don’t understand how suffocating all that protection can be.
Micah is still the soft and sweet one. Holden is the steadying presence - the one you call for backup when everything goes wrong. Milo takes stalking as a love language to an entirely new level (and oh my god, meeting his family was HIGHLY entertaining and left me with approximately a million questions). Knox seems to think his sheer size can block anything from getting anywhere near Sage. And Eli finally starts letting that hard shell crack and admits his feelings for Sage and Micah. But I’m keeping my heart guarded just in case he decides to bait-and-switch me again…

In the beginning of the book, I had a feeling I knew who was after them, although I’m not sure why as there was absolutely no foreshadowing, but even so I was not prepared for that ending. The cliffhanger will keep you impatiently waiting until October to see how the rest of the story plays out.

The cliffhanger from book one was a misdirect, which I was very happy about, though Sage's life was very much in danger. Now her five guys, because Eli's back and all in, are overly overprotective and have found a way to keep this off the police radar by looking too closely. Though this now makes people she can't tell the truth to think she wants to end her life. It does mean that they can all go back to living at Holden's house together and sleeping in rotation with Sage once again. It doesn't take long for weird text messages to start popping up for Sage, claiming they're from the one person they eliminated last book. Sage's best friend and former roommate also gets roped into all this mess when her ex won't leave anything alone and threatens Sage's life in front of her. Just when it seems like things are going back to their new normal, the book ends on a cliffhanger.
This is book two of a trilogy that must be read in order.
The twists and turns this book went through! I had suspicions about that person since book one, and I am so happy that it proved to be right and that they shouldn't be trusted. Now the question remains: are they working alone, or with someone else? I loved being back with these characters and seeing the chaos that was Milo once again, especially. I do have to wonder what his deep, dark secret is that is being repressed by his mother, as that seems to be something that will bubble up here eventually. I also loved that Eli and Micah worked through everything and found their sub-pairing together, having danced around it for so long. Though I didn't see the other side MM pairing as a possible outcome, and I wonder how long that will last or if anything will ever crossover in the heat of a group session.

Now the question remains: are they working alone, or with someone else? I loved being back with these characters and seeing the chaos that was Milo once again, especially. I do have to wonder what his deep, dark secret is that is being repressed by his mother, as that seems to be something that will bubble up here eventually. I also loved that Eli and Micah worked through everything and found their sub-pairing together, having danced around it for so long. Though I didn't see the other side MM pairing as a possible outcome, and I wonder how long that will last or if anything will ever crossover in the heat of a group session.

The guys’ answer to fear is control, and when Odin vetoes her push for a real seat at the table, Sage does what any woman written with a spine does: she goes rogue.
What makes this installment sing isn’t just the tension of the hunt for Stephen — it’s the quieter unraveling happening inside Holden’s house. I love that we get even more of her wild side in this book.

Really liked the first book. Only gave this one 3 stars because of the plot although I had figured out who Stephan was by the end of the first chapter.
There are times that I don't mind MM but in this case, I've hated it. If the relationship between Micah and Eli remained as two bi's who had a history together but just now got together every so often, it would have been okay. But the minute, it became "they are soulmates who CAN'T POSSIBLY LIVE without each other and Sage is fire while Micah is the ground underneath Eli's feet who keeps him steady, then guess who now is the backup and side piece??? Sage. Either Sage is the one they can't live without or she's not.
Don't see the relationship between Holden and Milo as necessary at all. And why is the nerdy computer geek always also such an unrealistic hyperactive person who is possibly on the spectrum? I much prefer Milo when he's on a killing spree. Unless Milo's original family situation is relevant in the final book, not sure why they play as much of a large part as they do.
Sage is growing on me slowly, but she sees absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to kill. Even the guys do it because it's necessary. Plus she doesn't think ahead farther than her nose. When she went out on her own, she didn't think beyond the killing. How did she think she was going to get out of it and who was going to clean everything up? Tends to be on the immature side.
I am looking forward to the final book because I've really liked the plot. Maybe the last book will redeem this one.

Milo*: I’m so glad we got a more in depth look at who he is and how he copes. Plus I was waiting for his bicuriosness to come up. I clocked it in the beginning when he had thoughts about how Holden was handling him. 🥰

After the hangover and that brutal cliffhanger from What We Bury, I couldn't wait to get my mittens on What We Burn. All I can say is Eve Riche did it AGAIN!!! And now I have to wait at least another month for What We Become 😭😭😭😭😭 I guess I should be grateful that it's not over a year between books 😅
What We Bury literally picks up right where What We Burn ends and I got the answers I was craving, and I am glad they were not what I thought they were. But then What We Burn ends on another brutal cliffhanger, but this time, my suspicions were correct, you were just too smooth, too slick, you came out of nowhere, very little background on you and were exactly the person I thought you were.
I loved watching the relationship strengthen and deepen between Sage and her five men, how they all work together as a unit, open their lines of communication, and problem solve with each other. We got to meet Milo's family and got to know more of his back story and understand why he is who is he and it makes me love him so much more.
The banter is still top notch in this book, and the Cookie Monster came out. Nomnomnomnomnom. You will have to read the book to find out what that means, you won't be dickappointed 🤣🤣. And the spice, OMG, it is still 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 We get more of Micah and Eli and wait for another male pairing, wow, you will want to be the meat in that sandwich.

Book 2 of The Hangmen series by Eve Riche has released and it was an AMAZING installment to the series. I thought I was in love with The Hangmen after What We Bury, but What We Burn was even better. I laughed so hard I had tears, the plot twists had me audibly gasping, and that cliffhanger has me feral to see how the trilogy ends.
What I liked:
😂The BANTER! Eve Riche writes unfailingly hilarious antics like it’s a first language. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard reading a book. It flows seamlessly into the darker aspects of the plot for a balanced, addictive read.
💞The evolving group dynamics. I loved seeing the different stages of the individual pairings within the harem, and how they ultimately affected the group as a whole. There was vulnerability, growth, and even a little self-discovery (of the spicy variety). The result? Yearning, tension, characters standing at that will they-won't they precipice until you realize it's 2am and you haven't put the book down in hours.
🌎The world expansion. In this book, our side characters get a bit more of the spotlight, and it doesn't disappoint! I won't spoil anything, but we get lots more from Amy, Jamie, and even the Norse Gods 👀

"Bass line from a song i heard in a gas station in 2019 that i will never identify but will never stop hearing" is so funny because its so true.
Even with the main threat the book has so many other things going on you never have a dull moment. From Eli to Micah, hot, cold, fire!! The heat from them and the bedroom antics. I need a fan.
Can we talk about the kitchen scene with Holden and Milo because im speechless. It was HOT, i mean damn. I cant wait to see what other group activities surprise us in book three.

Omg omg omg, what a book, I need book 3 immediately, this story is just getting better and better, the character development in is next level, I love the dynamic that all the guys have with each other and sage, there where some things I seen coming and others that I definitely did not. The last 20% of the book I didn’t want to read because I didn’t want it to be over and have to wait for book 3 but I also couldn’t put it down, staying up extra late to read and waking up early so I could get another chapter in. As with the first book Milo is just incredible, the chaos gremlin gets even better if you can believe that, the things he comes out with have had me crying with laughter and I will never be able to look at a certain children’s character again in the same way (I also need to throw out my husbands pjs with that character on 🙈)
We finally meet Milos mum and wow things make a lot of sense, I totally love her and I have a feeling we will be seeing more of her in book 3 if my theory is right.
There is so much more I want to say about this book but it would just give too much away so all I can say is if you loved book one then you are in for a real treat with this. Bring on book 3
Oh and I love the Elle Thorpe reference in there too, can’t forget that

First I want to thank Eve Riche for the surprise physical copy of book 1 in the Hangmen trilogy and an arc of book 2 in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loveddddd book 1 and was so ready for the next book because that cliffhanger had me foaming at the mouth. And just like book 1, this one had me in a chokehold! I devoured it.
Since the book isn’t out yet, I’m going to keep this a little vague. I’ll just say if you loved book 1 because the characters were amazing and the suspense was suspensing, you will absolutely love this one. It just dives deeper into each character and the dark side of the internet.
And once again—that cliffhanger!!! I need book 3 immediately! Like right now. RIGHT NOW.
I am loving all side characters too and needing all the spinoffs and/or novellas because how on earth can we tie up every single side story in one more book??
The main question I have…who wants to go play lawn bowls?
