Devil in Disguise is Book 2 in the series and you should read Book 1 first for best impact. The 2 MC's make a great couple. Nedra Ceto has been damaged in many ways by the bias against her as a mixed blood. She has become a player as a result. Meeting Cinda marks the first time a woman has really reached her heart. Plus who really is Cinda? The main plot revolves around the sudden appearance of vampires who didn't exist before now. Figuring out how to get rid of them requires our coven's energy. Meanwhile being a coven and establishing a new base of operations is also a big focus. I loved the book and was engrossed as the book developed. Characters are well drawn, the world is super interesting with witches and magical beings and more. I would definitely recommend this book. My only complaint is having to wait for the next one! There was definitely a lot left unresolved.
I've been looking forward to getting back into this world ever since reading the first book in the Lost Witches of Hecate series, Better the Devil You Know. Devil in Disguise is a continuation of that story and was well worth the wait! Nedra, one of my favorite characters from the first book, is featured here along with the introduction of Cinda. This is another well written book with great character development and humor I come to expect from this author.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book is a continuation from book one and is best read before diving into this one. We first met Nedra in book one and now she’s the star of the show in book two where she meets the mysterious Cinda and her whole perspective gradually changes as real feelings emerge. The world building is fantastic, the challenges are plenty and the vampires are here.
Wow another phenomenal story, I loved the main characters their connection was embedded beautifully throughout their dynamic were spot on their they navigated through the twists and turns was written with perfection a must-read congratulations
