Kristina Roy was a Slovak Protestant activist, thinker, revivalist, novelist and poet. She was founder of the Blue Cross and diaconical centre in Stará Turá. Her literary works were translated into 123 languages.

Si era aça de bucuros cã acesti doi tineri se iubeau, că erau aça de buni, că o sã fie fericiti impreună si că si el putuse sã-i ajute la aceasta. $i Samko si Method ii multumiserã, si asta făcuse aça de bine batrânei inimi.
«Până astăzi am trăit degeaba in lume», gândi bătrânul, «am trăit numai pentru mine; de abia acum, când incep sã fac bine altora, văd care este datoria omului pe pământ si de ce a poruncit Dumnezeu ca sã ne jubim aproapele ca pe noi insine. In aceasta stă adevărata fericire.
