Kristina Roy was a Slovak Protestant activist, thinker, revivalist, novelist and poet. She was founder of the Blue Cross and diaconical centre in Stará Turá. Her literary works were translated into 123 languages.

Simple writing style and with childlike faith, this book is nevertheless powerful and moving, inspirational and challenging. This is the second time I read it, and I'm sure I'll be reading it again.
