Mixed Reaction -
While the plot was interesting, the redundant banter in each book is getting old: “yes, dear”, mentions of age and caloric intake feel like page fillers, along with the comings and goings of the pets. The Positive was Jane’s backstory revealed.

Good mystery
I enjoyed the mystery! I did get frustrated with Dorothy’s frequent comments about her aging body and, good grief, all of her eating! Too much repetition for me!!

Very interesting!
Well developed characters and a complex plot make for a most enjoyable read, as expected in a Jeanne M. Dams work. I highly recommend her books.

At least one of the best and very realistic in a fictional way. As an older woman I love the romance between Dorothy and her man.
