It’s February 1997, an attacker is still on the loose because of somebody’s mistakes. It’s down to Finney to clear up their mess. And he’s not happy about it.
This e-book is the follow up to West Leigh Murder and is 48,000 words
This is the second of three DI Finney stories. The latest (Burden) is available through Amazon from March 24th 2018
For over twenty years an idea bubbled and bounced around my head. It started with a bad dream. This dream was so vivid, it was a relief to wake up and realise that it wasn't real.
After many attempts and false starts, I finally put pen to paper (or should that be finger to keys). The result was 'The West Leigh Murder'.
This was the story of a murder investigation run by Detective Inspector George Finney, an experienced copper who has grafted his way to the top. He has little time for his pretentious boss, Chief Inspector McClintock, who wants to hog the media spotlight.
Since then, DI Finney and his team have returned in three more stories - 'Mistakes', 'Burden' and 'Reputations'. All are available from Amazon.
This is a great book that I couldn't put down, and the plot of which kept me guessing right until the end. The author certainly knows his way around Portsmouth, and that of police procedures. The grammar needs to improve though, but other than that I'm looking forward to the next book.
