Peyton's migraines won't stop . . . but they're not what they seem. Peyton isn't convinced when Miami police declare her sister Evelyn's death part of a multiple suicide pact and close the case. So when the FBI reveal they believe Evelyn was murdered, and there could be a link to the recent FBI sting operation the sisters took part in, she agrees to work undercover at Etico, a California start-up turning the world of social media upside-down. But Peyton is also experiencing uncontrollable migraines . . . and they're becoming more frequent. Scientists are perplexed that her brain doesn't follow normal activity during a migraine attack--in fact, the two sides appear to be working independently of each other. As alarming discoveries are made at Etico, Peyton is sure these are not only connected to her sister's death but also her migraines . . . Can she find the missing link that will expose the truth?

I wasn’t sure at the start of this story where it would go. By midpoint it picked up speed (for me) and had a lot more to the story. It was action-packed with a few twists and turns along the way. A good read overall.
The concepts were thrilling enough to keep me reading but instead of being a mystery, I was left confused. It felt like I was always on the outside of the plot, just about to put the pieces together with the characters but then - nothing. It tried to develop a romance near the end that never gets fully fleshed out. There was room for more political comments given the conflict. Ultimately, I wanted to like it but don't even know what was going on.
What a wonderful work of fiction which kept me so engaged that it was hard to put down. It was s thriller of who could be trusted I highly recommend it and you won't be disappointed.
The plot drifts along without any obvious current looking for the channel….‘I’m missing something’….until it drops suddenly down a waterfall when the author seemed to have his own headache from writing. Characters were as shallow as the plot.
