Stormfront was filled with excellent writing, strong characters, danger, and stories that kept me reading.
Jerusha Agen’s opening story was easily five stars for me. I loved the suspense, the characters, and the way faith in Jesus was woven into what they were facing.
The other three stories were also well written and compelling, yet I found myself longing for a stronger expression of faith in Jesus as I continued through the anthology.
These characters faced fear, danger, loss, rescue, and moments when life could change in an instant. Those are the very places where I most want to see dependence on Christ become clear and deeply rooted.
I kept noticing the opportunities for prayer, dependence on God, and hope in Jesus to become a greater part of what these characters were experiencing.
For me, that matters deeply. I read Christian fiction hoping to be entertained, challenged, and drawn closer to God along the way.
I can appreciate excellent storytelling and characters I care about while still wishing Jesus had been more clearly present on the page.

If You Die by Jerusha Agen: Suspense and danger begin on page 1. Jerusha Agen does a superb job of pulling out various emotions in the reader. The storyline shows parts reminiscent of The Columbine school murders but there's so much more going on with the plot that keeps the reader engaged. Loved the main character's pseudonym.
The Final Lesson by Mary Alford. Nail biting, suspenseful, chilling, and eerie while still having hope sums up this twisty tale. Loved it! I shouted at the characters so many times! The writing is brilliant and I had a difficult time stopping with this story so I was up late finishing it. As usual, well done!
The Perfect Thriller. Julia Blythe, a new to me, author made me a fan with this story. A conundrum between "old" and "new" careers/lifestyles as well as Sloane"s (MFC) insecurities of feeling judged and unworthy are things with which many if not all readers can identify. I most definitely did not figure out the bad guy (which I loved) but did enjoy the storyline.
Kristine Delano's "What the Water Hides" was a thriller/mystery that literally gave me chills and made me think..I am never doing that! I loved that the view point from each of the four main characters was alternated in the telling of the story, each had lessons to learn and confessions to tell. I was so sure I knew who was doing all the evil things...I did not! Well done.

Four brilliant stories!
Each story was different but gripping in its own way. I’m looking forward to reading more from all of these authors! The first story lends itself to follow up while the second states it’s the first in the series. The final two were stand-alones but just as enjoyable. I was really hooked and can’t recommend this collection highly enough!

This anthology is jam packed with suspense, twists and turns you won’t see coming, and light that finds its way through the darkness! I enjoyed all four stories, they are not connected to each other, all are stand alone. Whether you read all four, or just one, I’m sure you will enjoy this book. The characters are wonderful and I enjoyed getting to know them. I definitely recommend this book!

I read the first two novels in the collection.
If You Die by Jerusha Agen is a compelling story and interesting read. I enjoyed reading Winter's story...what made her tick and why she works to to stop criminals before they hurt others.
The Final Lesson by Mary Alford is a GREAT read, very captivating...I couldn't put it down!! Great character development and intriguing story following Rowan and Wes as they face the darkness of Alaska and a murderer!

This collection of four novellas all have a central theme of the main character(s) facing an unexpected storm in their lives that changes their perspective on how they see things and sometimes their life choices.
If You Die by Jerusha Agen
This is a fast-paced and hard-hitting story about a young woman determined to stop killers at any cost, even if it means endangering her own life. When she encounters an FBI agent who is on the case of a white collar crime, the two of them partner up to help each other. I enjoyed getting to know the backstory for Winter and especially liked meeting her trained K-9 Baxter. Baxter provided some comic relief from a very intense book dealing with children being targeted. The plot is relevant and compelling and the story kept me on the edge of my seat, especially with the surprises at the end. The faith element is well incorporated into the story as Winter is grieving the loss of her sister Summer and bitter against God who didn’t save her. Winter’s father made a cameo appearance at the end, showing that she has the support of her dad. The theme is one of finding your purpose in life despite the losses you face and the challenges of overcoming those losses.

The action was non-stop and the story was unputdownable. There were multiple revelations and surprises. I guessed right about the killer, but that was after multiple clues that were well placed to make me head in the right direction. The characters are realistic, with flaws and real-life problems. I really enjoyed the red herrings and the fake trails along with the eerie and frozen setting that was perfect for the murders to take place and offered extra hazards for the team as they worked. Iris, a friend of Rowan’s was one of my favorite characters because she was loyal, friendly and ready to support Rowan and her own husband in law enforcement Sam. This book kept me absorbed and ready to follow this team to whatever their next assignment might be.

This book is plotted with two simultaneous subplots that dovetail perfectly together. Sloane is a resident physician until a patient dies and all of the blame falls on her. Choosing to leave medicine rather than face another possible death, she goes to Ireland to pursue a career in acting. The set there is a huge Irish mansion set on cliffs that the author paints with a vividly detailed brush. The setting is important as much of the action revolves around where the actors are, not just who they are. This is a book that everything is not as it seems and it is filled with surprises and secrets that led to a stunning climax. The characters are realistic and the lesson of light winning over darkness is a timeless one that is perfect for this story. The pace was moderate as I sometimes got bogged down in the drama of the filming of a movie instead of the actual suspense and mystery. All in all, this was a good read with a lot of truth imparted by the conclusion.

Helene, Natalie, Chelsea and Amber are hiding secrets that their persecutor wants them to confess and the confessions are costly to each of them. This is a captivating page-turner with relatable characters, a multitude of red herrings and a terrifyingly brilliant plot that is masterfully written. The entire book is exciting and made my pulse race as I tried to guess who would be behind such vicious attacks. I cheered for the four friends as the author portrayed strong imagery of the women versus nature as well as against an unknown foe. This expertly plotted book was massively entertaining from beginning to end.

Wow! What an excellent anthology set Stormfront was!
If You Die by Jerusha Agen is a fast-paced read. Winter Daniels, a PI and podcaster, likes to catch the bad guys before they actually commit the crime. While Winter is on a new case trying to stop a school shooting before it happens, multiple attacks are made on her life. Who is following her and why? FBI agent Price Samuelson joins forces with Winter as there is not one but two cases to be solved. I enjoyed the faith threads in If You Die, Winter's backstory, and her journey to truly accept Christ as her Savior.
The Final Lesson by Mary Alford had me hooked from start to finish. Rowen Hale is drawn into a case involving a serial killer who had murdered her younger sister a few years ago because Rowen, his intended victim, had escaped. Now the serial killer is in Alaska, and Rowen and FBI Supervisory Special Agent Wes Carter and his Violent Crimes Task Group team must work together to stop the serial killer from murdering more women. The Final Lesson has twists and turns, faith, romance, and a great plot. Who is exactly the serial killer and what is their motive? What a well-written, end-of-your-seat read.

Stormfront is an anthology of Christian stories by Jerusha Agen, Mary Alford, Julia Blythe, and Kristine Delano. What an anthology it is too. I know that Jerusha Agen writes realistic suspense stories where it looks as if evil could win. Always her gritty stories point to God as the protector, lead and answer to this world’s problems. However, she does not sugar coat any story by not bring realistic and truthful. I assumed the other authors who also have stories in this anthology would be the same. They do with some amazing stories added to this collection. High-stakes action with twists and turns and a surprise ending or two. No preaching in these stories but faith and God’s leading is woven into the character’s thoughts, words and decisions by the final page of each story.
First is If You Die by Jerusha Agen has a podcaster who goes after the bad guys, catching them before they commit murder. Next is The Final Lesson by Mary Alford has a serial killer who is obsessed with one woman. Third is The Perfect Thriller by Julia Blythe is about an actress in a horror movie. This is one psychological thriller that has the main character questions her sanity. Last is Kristine Delano’s What the Water Hides which is also a psychological thriller that has everyone questioning each other. This Summer Thrillers Collection deals with the scarier, evil side of this world but with an authentic Christian voice.

What a fast paced white knuckle gripping anthology! The first story was a little different from the authors usual stories, but was just as good. How wonderful it would be to be able to stop a disaster before it even happens. From a tragic past, Winter Daniels has been trying to stop horrible things from happening to other unsuspecting individuals. Will anyone believe her about what she believes is going to happen? The next story takes you to Alaska where a killer is intent on playing games. The was the first time that I actually figured out whom the killer was but didn't know his motive until the end. The third story was from a brand new author to me and I will be looking for more of her books. Sloane Mercer has been kicked out of her residency and her parents house. She goes to Ireland to play in a movie. Will she stay alive long enough to see the end of the script? This story has so many twists and turns in it, you might even start to question your own sanity. The last story was another new author to me. While I enjoyed the story and the suspense, I'm just not used to the layout of the story. Every chapter reads from the first person point of view from the four different friends that has went to an island. Storm Front, in my opinion, is an edge-of-your-seat collection of thriller written by some of Christian Romantic Suspense's best authors. Jerusha Agen starts it off with "If You Die." Evolving throughout this story, Winter, a podcaster, has dedicated her life to saving students from in-school shootings, after suffering a loss. Will her traumatic past allow her save the future? In Mary Alford's "The Final Lesson" trust and mentorship come to an end as a profiler must save a life -her own. Julia Blythe's "The Perfect Thriller" reminds us that even acting the part can have its flaws. Yet, Kristine Delano's story of four women proved that long-distance frienship can sometimes solidify the damage left behind throughout reparation and truth. I truly appreciated the variety of these thrillers and the longer they sit in my focus helps me realize that I will read them again and again. Stormfront is one of those anthologies that's hard to put down because every story brings something a little different. I flew through all 700+ pages much faster than I expected. These collections are one of my favorite ways to discover new authors, and while I was already familiar with most of the lineup, Julia Blythe was a new-to-me author who definitely caught my attention.
I had favorites, of course. Jerusha Agen's story had me hooked with its race-against-the-clock suspense, Mary Alford completely blindsided me with an ending I never saw coming, and Julia Blythe's psychological thriller gave me serious Black Mirror vibes in the best way. Kristine Delano's story wasn't quite as strong for me since I had a harder time following it, but it didn't take away from how much I enjoyed the collection as a whole. If you're a fan of Christian suspense and love sampling different authors in one book, this anthology is absolutely worth picking up.

This was a wonderful anthology! All of these stories were different but all of them were action packed and page turners. I can't believe how fast I dove through this many pages. These are all authors that are good alone but what a treat to have them all together for an extended thrill ride with plenty of variety. One of the highlights for me was Baxter the dog in Jerusha Agen's story. I have a soft spot for pups and found him so endearing. He added a smile in the middle of all the suspense of these stories.
Each and every one of these was packed with suspense. I love Mary Alford and she delivered another great story here but you will love all of them. It is perfect for the weekend binge from 4 wonderful authors or if you are short on time you can always do one at time. I loved this collection!

Wow! Not 1 but 4 amazing authors who will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end!! If you like spine-tingling, faith and suspense filled mysteries with enough twists and turns to keep you wondering who the "bad guy" will be, this book is for you. The danger is so realistic, you might feel like you are there!! Not only that, you may find your new favorite author. I am a fan of Jerusha Agen and Mary Alford but the other two authors are new to me. I will be looking for their books now. From podcasts to the FBI to movie sets and friend reunions, there is a setting/backdrop for everyone. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

In fact, I’ve only read her book in this collection (so far) and my 5 star 💫 rating is for her book. I don’t know how she thinks up all these unique plot ideas, but I loved the concept of this book. I devoured the story. I absolutely recommend it. I will read the remaining stories, but wanted to review his one before I forget!

Every story in this anthology was a page-turning, non-stop thriller. The writing for each was excellent - descriptive, emotionally charged, and full of unexpected twists that made me gasp. I was especially touched by Jerusha Agen’s story. No spoilers, but I have never read anything like it! I highly recommend reading this anthology, and I am looking forward to reading whatever the authors have coming next!
