Read with OM.

I love Poirot, so why wouldn't I love a mouse version of him, with comic strip action scenes, and a dastardly villain! C'est tres bien!

7 year old also loved it.

Superwitzig, spannend, herrlich gezeichnet und großartig zum Vorlesen. Die deutsche Ausgabe hat eine Stanzung im Deckel und ist wirklich liebevoll und aufwendig gestaltet. Superbuch!

Oh how much fun we had with this book, with a wonderful array of characters that we could give funny voices and accents to, we raced through the story and didn't want it to end. It had mystery, comedy and suspense as well as action, so it was perfect for my 7 year old and his active imagination. The change in styles between chapter to graphic novel and then to illustrations really captured his attention throughout the read. The characters were varied and the relationship between Monsieur Mustard and Mobbsy was lovely, seeing Monsieur Mustard come to slowly rely on him was a great touch.

A great book to cover friendship, perseverance, failure and determination, different personalities. Recommended by both Claire and Henry for this one! Looking forward to more adventures from this new detective duo.

Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for our copy.

🐭🕵️‍♂️Monsieur Mustard: The Disappearance of Fabio Fangtooth🕵️‍♂️🐭

Written and illustrated by Charley Rabbit

'Grandes saucisses de Paris' Monsieur Mustard is fab.

Monsieur Mustard is a small, dapper dressed, famous, crime solving mouse. He arrives in the city of Bath to swarms of admirers. His bag is stolen and it makes it very difficult for him to solve his big crimes!

My boys loved looking through the illustrations trying to work out what happened to Fabio, Mr B and co! We loved Mobbsy. He is the ultimate Monsieur Mustard fan. We belly laughed at Mobbsy's pronunciation of Monsieur and we had a good chuckle at the Beantinley! Another of our favourite moments was Monsieur Mustard falling in the soup. We thought his reasons for the culprit were very clever.

Monsieur Mustard is about to bring a much needed dollop of bliss in the world. This story is so satisfying and the quirky characters are a huge bundle of fun. The goodies and the baddies alike, will light up the eyes of every reader. I found the style of the book inviting with the colour palette and the lovable illustrations add to the wonderful reading experience.

C'est magnifique!

I received an early copy from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for a review.

This is a wonderfully fun and charming children’s book with a unique main character. Monsieur Mustard, the tiny but very confident detective mouse, is full of personality, and his dramatic arrival and unexpected mishaps make the story really entertaining from the start. My daughter and I found it absolutely hilarious and loved the unique style of illustration.

My seven year old loves this book so much. It’s really made him laugh. It’s his new favourite book. I enjoyed reading it to him too. Nice mix of graphic novel and illustrated character book. I’m a big Poirot fan too so enjoy the nod to the classic detective. It’s hard to find children’s book we both enjoy as much. More please!

3.5 Geronimo Stilton meets Hercule Poirot.
The onomatopoeia and comic strips were engaging and I enjoyed the sleuth but found the motive relatively weak.
