Genevieve left her pack years ago.

Afraid a mate bond would cost her the one thing she refuses to lose—her independence—she vanished into the shadows and built an information empire no one can trace back to her. Power without chains. Control without consequences.

Until the intel she's hired to collect drops her directly into the path of a brewing war.

Damien's first and only priority has always been his pack.

Trained from adolescence to be Zander's second, he's spent his life becoming the perfect enforcer. Loyal. Ruthless. Unquestioning. Pack first isn't just his motto—it's who he is.

Until the war spreading through the packlands puts him face-to-face with the one woman capable of shattering his carefully ordered world.

Their wolves have already chosen each other, and the war is forcing them together.

As Moonrise edges closer to open conflict and dangerous alliances begin to form, Damien and Genevieve are thrust into an uneasy partnership—one that challenges everything they believe about loyalty, duty, and themselves.

Because sometimes the fixer is the one who needs fixing.

About the author

R.A. Beckem

2 books14 followers
R. A. Beckem mentally lives in the Paranormal Romance world and loves that just off reality vibe to pull you into a new place. With one of her favorite sub-genres being shifter romance it was a natural conclusion that her debut novel would fall deep into wolf shifter territory. She has a voracious reading habit that only rivals her obsession with collecting pretty books.

On a any given day you can find her reading, writing, if the weather is good in one of the gardens her and her husband maintain, or preserving the veggies or herbs she pulls from the garden.

Born and raised in Southern Illinois, and currently living in town with her husband and two Australian Shepherds. Her neighbors affectionately call her a hermit and that her and her husband have made their home into a bit of an rural oasis in pseudo urban life.
