Good Book

Good book and made good reading. Could be left open as it is for a sequel because it just left you up in the air at the end.

Review of Temple of the woods

Slow moving, plot was and story was not what I was expecting. Ending was terrible. Not one of James Follets better books

Second time reading this trilogy. It’s like an old friend I visited.
Looking forward to the other books to read.

This is a fascinating look at how a group of people, adults and teenagers, cope with being confined under an invisible, unyielding dome. This group of about eight main characters starts out, as most societies do, working together to solve the problem of no water, electricity, or help from the outside. Then the personalities, and large egos, begin to show themselves and it's downhill from there. Although the book is fairly long, 539 print pages, it was a fast read. This is the first book in a trilogy and I've already purchased the second, "Wicca." My only complaint with this edition is the overwhelming amount of typos, missing words, and the general crappy job of editing it received. Avoid this edition if you can. Other than that, I highly recommend this novel. Very well done.

It's rare for the first novel of a series to so grip me as this one did. IT's the characters that did it; vivid, bold, with their own agendas, attitudes and a great deal of individual sexual preference...

The story is of course gripping, and Follett clearly writes for the adult market. A refreshing thriller to read, given the amount of YA I've done in this category recently.

Really enjoyed this book, it kept a more leisurely pace than a thriller, allowing us to learn who the characters are and what motivates them. I found the plot easily held my attention, though I felt like this novel was a prologue to the rest of the series, merely introducing the elements. This makes me very excited for the work to come.
