The first book in the series was a little more original sounding, but this one has the look and feel of a book that was constructed using an AI agent. Characters having the same realizations over and over, each character having a turn to make speeches uncalled for by the scene, using AI chat bot common phrases, using repetitive descriptions about characters like AI reading from a character summary sheet, and a type off verbosity that sounds structurally perfect but ultimately says very little or is repetitive. I’m not accusing the author, I’m simply stating this is what I frustratingly thought as I read until I gave up.
A well crafted ending to this story with a goal of survival and prosperity in the next book. The sex is integral but far too detailed for me but the book shows craftsmanship and skill. On to book 3. You should enjoy this edition, I certainly did.
