Just WOW! 🤯 RACHEL ERIN you are so incredibly gifted with creating books that keep you hooked! I was just love the imagery in this book. How love how strong you made your female MC. This book made me lose my words!! I was devouring this book and I truly can’t wait to read more! I’m so proud of you! 😭🔥 I absolutely loved how strong, capable, and unforgettable you made her. She is the kind of character you can’t help but root for.
This book genuinely left me speechless. There were moments where I was just sitting there thinking, “WHAT did I just read?!” 😂 The story kept pulling me in, and I never wanted to put it down.
You created something that stayed with me even after I finished reading, and I already know I need MORE.
Even better than first book! We have it in this book! Fast paced, trials, developing connections, continued self-discovery, trying to overcome prejudices, love and heartbreak, and so much more!
Ugh, this was deeper emotionally than the other books and really hit home on some difficult themes. There were some gruesome scenes and questions about if love is really enough.
Callan was so dedicated to her safety and so loving, even during the hard times, when the trust was broken. You could tell he struggled but he was so determined to love her despite everything. He really wanted to. He was perfect until he wasn’t. While it was devastating to our FMC, it was a little obvious to me as a reader. There was just too much in his past.
Cin was a baddie in this book. I can’t imagine how it would feel to learn everything she did about her history and how her choices had been taken from her over and over. To struggle with the prejudice she endured for things she had no control over and to learn her future was predestined. She could have handled it in so many ways but she chose grace, strength, and acceptance without looking back or pity. I loved her in this book. She deserves so much more than what she has been given and I really hope she gets the happiness, love and life she deserves at the end of this series. The ending was brutal and devastating but again, she handled it with so much grace.
Our new character in this book gives me all the feels and I have such big hopes for his role in the next. Misunderstood is the perfect word! While we didn’t get much in the touchy feely category, I sense an undercurrent of deep caring and feelings of more than respect coming from him that I hope we get to explore in the third book. I feel like he is an onion that needs his layers pulled back. Hmm.
There was minimal spice in this book, more than the first, but the plot and character development totally makes up for it.
I’m excited for book three and all the action I know we will get but also the reunions and how those pan out. So much is going to change. No one will be the same, I just know it.
I'm a mess. I went from excited, to stressed, to "EXCUSE ME, WHAT?!" Then I'm crying from happiness, only to realize what just happened... and now I'm devastated.
Rachel Erin just wrote my very first 6-star read.
I wish I could hug her and thank her for this book. She's a complete stranger to me, yet I somehow feel so proud of her growth as an author. The storytelling, the characters, the emotions—everything about this book felt like such a step up, and I was completely consumed by it.
The story continues with Lucina breaking social norms and really beginning to deconstruct the way things have always been. Throughout her journey, she also has to face some incredibly hard truths and finally admit the things she's been hiding from those she loves. Then, while learning to accept who she truly is, she's put in a position she knows she might never come back from.
And in many ways... she doesn't.
Callan is the perfect book boyfriend until he isn't. That's all I'm going to say. Just read it so you can fully grasp what I mean.
And the new character introduced in this book?! I LOVE HIM. I'm in love with him. I want him in my life. I don't care that he's fictional. I already know my adoration for this man is only going to grow as the series continues.
And if it doesn't? Well, then I'm a fool.
I laughed. I stressed. I cried happy tears. I was devastated. I finished this book feeling like I had just been put through every possible emotion, and somehow I loved every second of it.
Fallacies by Rachel Erin is an absolute must-read!
As an ARC reader, I had the opportunity to read Fallacies ahead of its official release (8/22), and I can honestly say that Rachel Erin DID NOT disappoint. As the second book in the Anomalies series, it takes everything that made the first book so compelling and builds on it in a way that kept me completely invested.
I’m intentionally keeping this review 100% spoiler-free, because this is one of those books where you truly want to experience the twists, revelations, and character moments for yourself AND TOMORROWS RELEASE DAY! There were plenty of moments that had me questioning what I thought I knew, and I was constantly wanting to read “just one more chapter.”
The characters, the tension, the pacing, and the way the story continues to unfold all worked so well together. Rachel Erin has created a world that makes you want answers while simultaneously making you nervous about what those answers might reveal, and second guessing EVERYTHING!!!
If you read Anomalies, you absolutely need to pick up Fallacies. And if you haven’t started the series yet, consider this your sign. 👀📖 plus, Liabilities is the novella that takes place DURING Anomalies… and to think there is only ONE more book is this trilogy after this releases!!
I’m so excited for everyone else to finally get to experience this book when it officially releases Saturday, August 22!
First off, thank you so much Rachel Erin for this ARC!!! this was one of my most anticipated releases this year and I am ever so thankful to have gotten an early copy of this, so thank u thank u thank u!!!!! 💙💙
ya’ll I am throughly enjoying this series… and this book just pushed this series into my top series to date.
Rachel Erin has created a world that is so unique, with a magic system and story that is like no other I’ve read.
And Fallacies is her best work to date.
I loved Anomolies because it was different, I loved Liabilities because it was fun and a perfect companion novella to the story. But Fallacies creates this undercurrent of a story you don’t even know is being written until youre staring it dead in the face speechless on the last few chapters of this book.
Rachel Erin’s writing has grown tremendously over the last few books. There was never a boring moment in Fallacies, never a time where the story didn’t evolve and continue on. I loved every second of it. Even when I was sobbing uncontrollably at the end. I loved this book and loved it even when characters started to do things I hated but I also loved because it makes the story so real and much more complex than a typical fantasy romance.
I loved the writing, loved the story. I am gnawing at the bars of my enclose for the final book in the series 🙂↕️ i am waiting ever so patiently 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Hmmmm… really thinking hard to rate it properly but I think 3.5⭐️⭐️⭐️ ..
After Finishing book 1 I needed to continue this series because I was so in love with the Plot and the magical system and the FMCs Character. It Starts right where we were left off and ends on a CLIFFHANGER. And this was brutal. I must say I loved the ending because.. you know .. the new character who was invented was Chefs Kiss 🙈🔥and I waited for the bomb to Drop AND IT DROPPED. And I really felt with her and the betrayl and it was written very beautifully!
Sometimes I couldn’t really understand her decisions (and there were many questional ones) so it would be a bit hard to really Connect with her.. because she is so clever but on the other side she makes so many dumb things ? Why? The relationship between FMC and MMC felt.. disconnected? And I am a bit ambivalent because then it wasn’t quite a shock in the end but the love declarations and everything and then.. that ? Hmm I need to think about it again
Will continue for sure because it would hound (haha) me if I didn’t 🤭🤯
Okayyy we’re getting there !!! The second half was much better than the first. When the MCs are already sick in love I get bored (perhaps that’s a me problem😅)
First half, I read about 40 pages of her fighting a snake and doing the albatross which I had to skim through. It felt redundant to the first book and didn’t feel like as much was needed but once we got to the second half it picked up.
You can kind of see every twist that’s about to be taken but I’m ok with that. And I’m sorry idk why Callum is giving Tamlin vibes and I want her w THE HOUNDDDD like can we make that happen??
Luncinda is starting to piss me off a little and I do wish there was more abo it Ivy and Jude. I had a problem with this in the first book as well it’s lke she accepted this new life and she’s like k gotta do me! I’m sure they’ll come into the next books. I’m a little worried because I don’t think we need 2 more books I feel like it will be dragged out but I’m down to seee
There aren’t enough stars to give this book! Truly! Fallacies was my most anticipated read of the year and listen… Rachel is nothing if not a truly gifted storyteller. The world is immersive, the characters are wholesome. The emotions? Oh boy. The emotions. Everything. You feel everything. From blushing and giddy to full on ugly crying, and it all happens in a matter of pages. I knew from the moment I picked up Anomalies that Rachel would be an auto buy author of mine, and I stand by that completely. But now? This entire series is on my comfort read list, I could and will happily visit it over and over again and find something more to love and cry over every time. Rachel, I am begging you. Don’t ever stop writing. You have such a gift, and I am so thankful you were brave enough to share it with the world 🖤
I want to say thank you so much to Rachel for the ARC book, I’m honored! I’ve been looking forward to Fallacies ever since she started writing Anomalies. (Yes, I still need to get Liabilities, I’m overdue!) Her debut immediately had me hooked onto this series, and I definitely recommend it due to her unique magic system!
Following Rachel on TikTok has been a journey! To watch her go through a lot of emotions in writing this book in her first place to now, and watching her enjoy every bit of the moment has been a wild ride.
If you haven’t picked it up, Fallacies continues where it leaves off. I’m currently in the middle of the ARC, but didn’t want to leave out on a good review, especially with Fallacies being 7 days away from being PUBLISHED! Please give this a read 😊 Good luck to you Rachel in your future projects!
CIN, THE WOMAN THAT YOU ARE. 😭🔥 Her strength, the growth, the heartbreak… I have SO many thoughts, and they’re all over the place. I absolutely loved getting to know more about her mother’s past and uncovering the history behind it all. And her coven? I LOVE every single one of them. 🖤 Pax and Phoenix ( sharpening the rose thorns 🌹 🤣) probably my favorite character from the coven The Hound… excuse me?! He is SO much more complex and filled with emotion (i was expting ruthless and emotionless) than he was ever made out to be, and I need to know more. Now, Callan… sir. I’m gonna need you to GET IT TOGETHER. I wanted to shake him a few times. 😂 And that ENDING?! I am genuinely at a loss for words. What am I supposed to do with myself now?! Book 3 cannot come out soon enough. Excuse me while I go sit and stare at the wall and process everything I just read. 🫠📖
This book has my whole heart. I absolutely loved reading this story. There were so many elements to it that I truly believe would captivate so many different readers. It has such a good balance of magic, romance, suspense, action, and fantasy. I could really tell how much thought went into this story, and I loved picking up on why little details matter later on. Lucina is such a strong FMC while still being super relatable. I loved watching her grow into her power and start to fight for herself more. I also loved how we got to experience her emotions and struggles with them, it all felt so realistic. I also LOVED the introduction of the newest character and I cannot wait to see where they take the story line. This book was so amazing and I cannot wait for book three!!
I was lucky enough to step into this world with the first book in the series Anomalies and i’ve been eagerly waiting for this book to release (thank you Rachel for this ARC🤍) and it did not disappoint in the slightest!!!
The magic continues, the world deepens, the emotions heighten, the love builds, the intrigue grows, and the revelations hit hard and they had me eating up every word and feeling all of the emotions for Lucina, the Ajax, and a special new edition 🤭🐺
It wouldn’t be Rachel Erin if there wasn’t a cliffhanger and boy you won’t wanna miss the build up that will now have me eagerly waiting for book 3…. release that when you’re ready Rach🥹
Okay listen… part one was good. I was enjoying it. It took off right where book two left off. It was alot of building up and setting up things for the second part of this book. This obviously had romance in it but it’s alot of plot too which I appreciated!!
BUT PART 2???? I was not expecting the story to take that kindve turn. And it’s exactly what I needed. I DEVOURED the last 200 or so pages. There was so much action happening at the end and so many questions I need answers to now…. 🫣😭
Book 3 wya??? Can’t wait for you guys to read this. ✨
I saw a random booktok creator post about the first book in this series so I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did. I’ve read both books and the novella in the past week and I can’t wait for more! I love it! 🥰
How can I wait for the next book without even a clue as to the dates. Salem. Omg I had a feeling that as soon as he arrived on the scene that things were about to take a dramatic shift and it surely did with that ending. Ahhhhh
This second book is better than the first. I didnt realize there was more books waiting to happen but as the story evolved I knew there was no way they would wrap up the story and Im happy they didnt rush it. Look forward to the next 2!
Fallacies is the perfect continuation for Anomalies! I absolutely loved Lucina’s growth and development. She is fierce and brave. The new character, the Hound, is literal perfection!! Such a beautifully developed world. I can’t wait for the next one!
