Quick enjoyable and entertaining read. I really like Connie she the epitome of what I like in female heroine. This story has plenty of drama, overbearing shifer, crazy bad guy, and of course steamy romance to keep you hooked from beginning to end. Overall a great read. I'm definitely looking forward to Ryan story though. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Bear Magick I think this is Ms. Davis magic because once again she transported me into a world full of love conquering all. In this one we have Nichole's roommate and best friend Connie an avid photographer as well as a witch. She knows all about shifters and their brand of magic. After encountering an off season hunter in the Blackrock territory Anthony or Ant to his family comes to save the day, Each knows they are the other's mate but will they complete this mating dance.

Anthony the Marshall of the clan it is his duty to protect those in his clan which includes Connie as an honorary member as she is his sister-in-law Nichole's friend. Will he give in to the pull of his bear for the mate of his heart or will he mess up with his inept tongue by saying all the wrong thing.

Thankfully this is part of my kindle collection so that I may revisit anytime I need a bit of magic myself.

Book two is truly smooth sailing. I thoroughly enjoyed following Anthony and Connie’s tale. This read is perfect for my quick PNR needs. Two great characters are faced with overcoming a dangerous obstacle to reach a positive conclusion. It is the creativity that I love that goes into these tales! I am actually hoping for more about Ryan. All my reviews are always voluntary.

Love!

Thrilled Connie got her story!! And what a story, hits the ground running. She's a fun character and Anthony will have his hands full with her. The surprises and hunts of what's coming in the next book make you go hmm. Can't wait to read what happens next and am glad I don't have to wait!

I feel in love with her bears when I first tasted them in a collection of stories. I was more than delighted to get to become more personal with yet one more of these bears who could give me a bear hug anytime. Connie is gonna find out real soon just how fortunate that the Marshal of the bears was near by when she had her unfortunate encounter. Maybe not at that time but later down the line. She also likes to goad one bear and Anthony better be prepared. Of course it starts out rocky by with also an accident in there also but dinner and much more await her. This author will inject a bit of drama among the loving that will make for lap it up reading in quick order because you want to see it all come out right. Delightful humor between the two that makes it even more of a strong relationship as it builds. When you are finished though you will have fallen in love even more with these bears that even the promise of honey will not satisfy your craving for more.

Definitely Magickal

Quick, sexy read! Just the right mix of overbearing shifter, crazy bad guy, and magickal curvy witch. And now a bit about the story...

Connie is visiting her best friend, who just mated a Blackrock Bear, when she meets Anthony. She can feel it at first eye contact, but plays hard to get. Plus a wayward hunter gets in the way more often than not. Can these two get on the same page or will they keep up their game of cat and mouse, it should I say bear and fish ;)

- “You shouldn’t skip meals.” ... “Oh, trust me, I don’t usually. After all, I have to keep my girly figure up.”
- “Well, then , you need to come over and cook for me every day.”“I’d love to, if you’ll move in with me.”

A quick, sweet, and sexy read! With some drama and a little bit of action thrown in, a great read for anyone looking for something to pass a bit of time.
I fell in love with this series after reading the first and still completely love this world. Lia writes a great paranormal romance with intriguing characters and smoking hot love scenes!
I really like Connie. She's sassy and goes for what she wants. Anthony is growly and very protective of Connie. I love his gruffness at first but he's really very sweet.
This was an exciting read that set up for the next Bear of Blackrock book. I'm very intrigued with Ryan and to find out his story.

This is book 2 in the Bears of Blackrock. It is a stand alone book and has an HEA. Connie is a wildlife photographer and loves the outdoors, while on location she is accousted by a hunter. She is taking care of the jerk when a big bear decides to help her out. Anthony is the Marshall of his clan and it is his job to protect them. I had to read this book in one setting, could not put it down. I love this new series and am looking forward to the next book. I recommend this book to all shifter lovers. I would read book 1 also it introduces some of the characters you meet in book 2. Happy Reading

Keeping his mate safe is a challenge for Anthony Black because she loves her independence almost as much loves teasing him in this captivating paranormal romance.

The reader can’t help but be captivated as Anthony tries to find a way to win Connie Glovers heart while convincing her they’re better together than apart with some hot and steamy passion and sweet romance. Strong compelling characters draw the reader into the fast paced, smooth flowing plot while danger from a hunter that is more than he seems adds danger and excitement to this quick, beary sexy read.

Bear Magick is Anthony and Connie's story in book 2 of the Bears of Blackrock series. Neither Anthony or Connie are looking for a relationship when they meet each other for the first time. Connie is an independent woman who has been taking care of her self for a long time and did not want to answer to anyone else. Anthony is the Marshall of Blackrock and takes his responsibility seriously. Connie is a witch and knows about shifters and knows that Anthony is a bear she isn't sure if she wants to be mated with one. The journey to their HEA is a quick and enticing read that you will not put down. This series is very entertaining and you will definitely want to read the next book in the series

Great read

This was Anthony's story. In book one I wasn't to fond of Anthony. He was a arrogant butt. However he met his match with his sister in laws best friend and witch Connie. She knows about bears but plans to take care of herself. She doesn't need the furball fighting her battles. Its a super sweet and sexy story.

Bear Magick is a sexy story of Anthony and Connie’s romance, Trey’s brother and Nichole’s best friend from Bear Essentials, the first story in the Bears of Blackrock series. It’s a very short novella, so I’m going to have to be a bit vague in order to avoid spoilers and hints about the next story in this series.

Connie is a witch, no really she’s a magickal witch and she’s known that the handsome Marshal of Blackrock is her mate for some time now. Anthony is pretty certain that Connie is his mate, but he’s busy keeping an eye on the town of shifers and the surrounding area to devote as much time to her as he should be. Connie was recently assaulted by a creepy hunter when he ran up on them. Okay, she had the situation in hand but dammit she was his to protect and she didn’t need to get all huffy about his showing up.

In truth, Anthony and Connie just need to stop dancing around each other, teasing and implying – and declare themselves. But characters never listen to me when I’m yelling at them – thanks the stars -they just continue on their stumbling into love ways.

The threat that Anthony and Connie thought they’d run off is closer and much more dangerous than they thought. As true evil rears its ugly head, the threat to the shifters of Blackrock increases. Connie and Anthony’s bond is strong, but it’s going to have to go deeper real fast.

I enjoyed this addition to the Bears of Blackrock series very much. It is extremely fast paced, action filled and sexually intense. You can easily read this novella in one setting and experience an really good story – plus get set up for the next story to come. Not a cliffhanger, so don’t worry about that, but there are enough events happening that you simply know they will be part of the rest of the series. I can’t wait to start the next one.

We met Anthony, the oldest brother and the Marshal of the clan, and Connie, a witch and Nichole's best friend, in the first book, Bear Essentials.

They know they are mates. But, of course, things can't just magically fall into place for them. What would be the fun of that? We need to watch them fight it, enjoy the journey of them falling in love, and definitely read about the sexy times. Rawr.

Connie is taking pictures when she encounters some trouble. Anthony to the "rescue." Yes, it's sweet that he wants to protect her, but she's a witch and could easily have rescued herself. But still, swoon, right? Who doesn't love the thought of the hero rescuing the heroine? Then, as things seem to be going their way, finally, there's a misunderstanding. Anthony has to suddenly leave due to his position as the Marshal, but unfortunately he doesn't take ten seconds to explain the situation to Connie, and based upon the words he did say, darn you Anthony, Connie ends up feeling rejected. Men, right? :-(

Thank goodness Connie starts to realize she may have jumped to the wrong conclusion and Anthony realizes how she may have misinterpreted what he said. Now that they've both had epiphanies, will they get their HEA? Have they heard the last from the bad guy from Chapter 1? Will your Kindle start smoking from the sexy times? I won't answer the first two, nanner nanner nanner, but a word of advice about the third one, have a fan, or some ice, maybe even a fire extinguisher, handy. LOL

Looking forward to more from this series. I believe Ryan, the beta and middle brother, will be the next story. We got a little taste of what his story will entail from this book. Can't wait to see how it unfolds for him.
