In contrast to Two Kings, which simply made up its own history of the Battle of Hastings, this one was pretty good. Told from the Anglo-Saxon side, it really did make the kids feel like they were there, with details about the Vikings, the various battles, the politics, the armour, the different Norman culture - all told in a kid friendly way.
