De perfecte date?
Jessica's relatiebureau is een groot succes. Dat komt vast omdat ze intussen zelf zo goed weet hoe het níét moet. Dan moet ze voor een liefdadigheidsproject samenwerken met autocoureur Cutter Thompson - een verschrikkelijke botterik, die haar uitlacht om haar zweverige gedoe en haar datingregels. Wat een geluk dat ze niet met hem uit hoeft, want hij is echt niets voor haar! Toch?

I like this author's voice quite a bit. Both the hero and heroine were pretty messed up. He was a top race car driver who had a crash a few months ago that ended his career and he has no memory of it. I had a problem with the heroine because at least the hero knew where his issues came from, his father's abandonment and mother's disregard and he acknowledged them.
The heroine is a divorcee and runs an online dating business and ropes in the hero for a good cause. She still despite her parent's divorce and her's is on the quest for the perfect man and she could be annoying with this belief that she knew best. She was a do gooder, with her self help books and divorce support groups and telling the hero that he had problems when she had not even confronted her own. I liked it when the hero told her the reason she never found the perfect guy was because he didn't exist and that the reason she was messed up was because of her parent's divorce and that she should look closer to why her marriage failed.
There was plenty of banter and sexual tension between these two and I enjoyed the book and really liked the hero.

This was my first book by Aimee Carson and I can sum it up in one word: WOW!
How to Win the Dating War is a sexy read with two mismatched characters that create major sparks.
Cutter has to be the hottest hero I've read in a long while. He's brash, blunt and incredibly drool worthy.
Jessica is a little prim and proper, and the perfect foil for his rough around the edges appeal.
The sexual tension sizzles off the page!
I loved every minute of this story and can't wait to read more from Aimee.
Highly recommend.

A wonderful sexy romance! Carson does it again with the hardheaded, gorgeous Cutter and the likable Jessica - his worthy match. This social media romance has a fresh twist and is filled with snappy dialouge and great love scenes. I love the way the author creates real life problems within the book and details the inner struggles of the characters. I cannot wait until Carson's next book - highly recommended!

I absolutely loved this book. It's smart, funny, touching, and wonderfully well-written. I loved the flirty banter. I loved the realistic journey of two total opposites finding their happily ever after. Honestly, I loved everything about it!

Aimee Carson' writing style is very compelling. I liked the hero, Cutter, he was very well portrayed as a bad boy with an attitude. I had some trouble warming to the heroine, Jessica, who seemed uptighed, sometimes annoying with her know-better attitude & her list of crippling rules. Between these two opposite characters, the banter was witty & flirty, the attraction scalding & the emotions went deep.

This was a pretty good romance story, with likable characters and a concept that, while not perfect, was interesting enough to keep me reading. For such a short book, we get a good look into the characters' lives and I definitely felt sympathy for Cutter given how he royally messed up his life. At times it did seem like everything was a little too cut-and-dry, just skirting the edges of the plot but not really getting into it. I think if less time had been spent on Jessica and Cutter's rather repetitive thoughts about each other and their mistakes, we could have gotten more into the rest of the story. The whole dating game aspect was almost lost in the shuffle of Jessica constantly analyzing EVERYTHING to death. I get that this was her personality flaw for a reason, but it was over-the-top to the point it was irritating. Overall, though, I really liked Cutter and I wanted them to find a way to work things out despite their obvious incompatibility. It was a cute, quick read with some steaminess that romance readers will enjoy.

Lo admito, es una lectura de la que no esperaba absolutamente nada y a pesar que no es lo mejor de mundo, si me sorprendió en un aspecto.
Verán, es el típico libro con una pareja atractiva que siente irrefrenables deseos sexuales mutuos, y que al final terminan enamorándose.
Pero esta novela se distingue de otras porque la autora plasmó de manera inteligente las raíces de las inseguridades de ambos protagonistas, los porqués no estaban satisfechos con las relaciones, y como finalmente se enfrentaron a verdades incómodas para estar juntos.
Y eso, si les gustan este tipo de libro les puedo asegurar que este tiene altas probabilidades de gustarles.

Cute, fast, thoughtful and atypical. Cutter Thompson is more evolved than the heroine -- it takes a while to figure that out but it's true. Jessica was delightful, trying to make sense of her divorce and make a life for herself. She runs a dating service and she's very successful but unfortunately, her love life is a bit like the shoes worn by the cobbler's children. Not too stellar.
Enjoyed it -- I would definitely read Aimee Carson again -- but I hope she considers writing longer-length books. I would follow her there.

I spotted this book in my local bookstore and was intrigued as had never read anything by author and the story sounded fab and boy was I hooked. Former race-driver Cutter is just awesome - gorgeous and great one-liners and an addiction to fixing up his car and listening to Springsteen and a sheer reluctance to bow to divorcee Jessica's wish for him to put in a celeb appearance. I won't spoil any more of the story - suffice to say get yourself a copy and soon. Great read.

Bad boy H + feisty h = funny, flirty, steamy read
Definitely worth reading. The H and h had great chemistry, so many times I found myself actually laughing out loud because of the banter between the two. Well written, the author was successful at getting me to feel the intended emotions at the right time. P.S. The H likes chocolate syrup........ ;)

Seriously impressed with Aimee's novel - Cutter, the hero, is just the perfect bad boy and the dialogue is really funny throughout and his obvious enjoyment of getting under divorcee Laura's skin is a delight to read. Really enjoyed it.

Loved, loved this witty story by Aimee Carson of straight talking sexy Alpha Cutter and idealistic Jessica. The past insecurities of Cutter and Jessica are explored and overcome with sensitivity, humour and lots of sizzle.
