This book has me speechless 😶. Seriously, I'm at a loss for words! What did I just read?! I'm still processing everything. My mind is blown 🤯. This is something you need to experience for yourself.
What creepy read! So great for spooky season! Everything horror, blood, vampirish FMC. I'm glad I randomly picked this book up just in time for the season of all things Halloween!
106 pages of WOW! I related to the first few pages of this book, I had cancer and Adriamycin was one of the chemos I was on during my first few rounds. Yes it was nasty stuff, I don’t remember it being red, but I’m glad it was nothing like what May experienced! I did lose my hair, luckily none of the other side effects May had, LOL. Another crazy unhinged and good short story, Kenya does it again!
It has been quite some time since I've read a book by Kenya Moss-Dyme, so when I seen she offered this book for free, I jumped on it. While in the beginning I had sympathy for May as she battled with her illness, as the book progressed my feelings abruptly shifted. May was sick not only physically but mentally as well. Twisted, horrific scenes made this a great thriller!
One of the most unsettling horror stories I've ever read. Moss-Dyme got under my skin from the first page, and I was enthralled the entire way. It's gory without the gore. A dive into cancer treatment rather than cancer itself. So little heart but such emotion. The storytelling was just incredible. I can't wait to read more of her work.
Thoroughly enjoyed this story. I don’t typically read horror, I am more of a fantasy girly. However this was a great introduction to that genre and has me wondering what else I may find that I like. It follows the story of one women’s trials with cancer and her transformation and decline from it. It had just enough gore to not be to off putting but still be shocking.
a perfect short read just in time for spooky season! i loved the twist this author made between medicine meant to help save your life, turning you towards unimaginable darkness. The fmc May truly goes down a harrowing transformation during her cancer treatment that’s rejuvenating for her, but really should call for a public health crisis! if you love horror, this is a great book to pick up!
I had no idea what this book was about. I didn't read the description I just went in cold, reading. This was like walking into a room, seeing something terrifying,, and then slowly trying to back out without anybody noticing... The terror was swift and did not let up.
Kenya gives us a scarier way of looking at cancer and chemo LOL! I don't want to spoil it for other readers so grab this book sit back and enjoy this quick ride with May and her addictive chemo treatments.
This read was fairly quick. I wanted it to go into more details about the reason the drug caused the side effects it did ite the others. But besides that it was ok.
A quick read that packs a punch! May is fighting cancer but what will be the consequences of her battle? Loved the pace and the unanswered questions! This could easily become a serial.
