It was over the top and crazy, but I did enjoy it. This was described by a friend as a train wreck you can't look away from, and I agree. 😂 It's a filthy fucking ride! 😂 On one hand, I'm like...what the fuck did I just read?! On the other, I picked up the second book right after I put this one down! 🤣

I'm rating this 4 stars for now, because for me to immediately have to pick up book 2, I don't think it would be fair to rate it less than that. 😂

This book was not romantic or erotic and it was purely written to shock readers. It did not shock me, it was just really disappointing.

This girl (Shelby) is approaching her 18th birthday, she's a virgin with an uncaring mother she should have run from.
Her mother marries some guy who comes equipped with two messed up horny stepbrothers.

One scene has her mother screaming out during sex with her new husband in the bedroom next door, one of her stepbrothers is horny while listening to his father having sex with his new wife. So he starts jacking himself off in front of Shelby who at this time is still only 17 years old.

This was some backwater psuedo-incest with two unsexy brothers and their blow up doll step-sister.

Cause she let the brother she liked or loved Colt persuade her to give her virginity to a fat sheriff to save a car from being impounded. WTH. The guy did not wear a condom and then she lets Colt shove beer up her vagina to kill off this fat guys sperm.

Colt won't have sex with her cause his dicks too big and so he wants her to have sex with other men including his brother Caine so they can stretch her out to get her ready to take his big sausage.

There's some light BDSM crap. Caine is told to have sex with Shelby a couple times while Colt's fingering her or something else. At one point Colt tells her not to come or he's going to take her in the ass with no lube. This stepbrother knows how to make a girl feel wanted.

Both Shelby and her friend (who is also Colt's half sister) have sex with other guys in front of a crowd of racers cheering them on. This is their way of celebrating, forget champagne no Colt enjoys watching his woman and sister get fucked by other racers.

The sex scenes are quick, rushed and seriously dull.
The dialogue is so ridiculous at times.
The dirty talk had me rolling my eyes.
There was no chemistry between Colt and Shelby. None whatsoever.

Then the truth about... Colt is revealed and i saw it coming. He's basically been pimping out his half sister Caroline and his step-sister Shelby.

This book is supposed to be dark erotica but as I said at the beginning it exists to shock readers and attract big sales.
I've seen dark romance or erotica done better. I've read better stories with step siblings. I've read better sex scenes in some of those short 16 page porno erotica stories selling for $2.99 on Amazon.

There are some minor grammatical errors. I got this book for free and I won't be wasting my money on the second book or any other book written by this author.

This book was awesome! I love those pseudo-taboo books with steps. This was so much more! It seems there will be a second book and I can't wait to read it!

For those of you who require it there is no HEA in this story as it is a cliffhanger. Hopefully the next story will have one. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

It's not what you think. Great writing!!!!

This is a brand new author to me, I didn't know her writing style or her level of twistedness, I went in blind. After complaining about the title, I had to stick my foot in my mouth, because I was being judgemental. Yeah, I call myself out for this. I think I finally settled on 4 Stars. I had to dig deep in my soul and pretend that this really isn't the title. Let's pretend it's named Stepbrother something or another. Nope, that DOESN'T work either.

Okay, I'll be back. I need to get my head on straight here.

I hated and loved this book. Different folks/Different strokes.

The verbage, sayings, all around, I'm not a race fan. I never heard of this term. Now that my bitching is over, I really enjoyed this one, not only did it make me feel uncomfortable, it made me question my morals. << That's a winner there. This story was completely different from what I've read, totally different. I like that. It's not your average step brother book, it's not your average setting, it's not your average anything, and I think that's what really kept me turning the pages. This was out of the box weird, and I loved it for that reason. Not to mention, the brothers are smoking hot and bossy, a bit mysterious, and totally wrong.

HAHA! I'm like, "where is this story going?" I was glued, I kept reading and did not stop until the very end. I couldn't pinpoint the motives for these two brothers, what made them tick?

Two brothers, One step sister, and a ton of hate and dysfunctional, family madness.

Give it a try. I want to know what you think.

Wow. I’m shocked at how much I really loved this one.

I think it’s hilarious that I can’t even write the title of this book in my review, but whatever. What i’d like to say is for having this title the book is surprisingly deep. This author says from the start it started off as satire, in combination of saying “kiss it” to people who tell authors “you can’t write that.” I think she did a perfect job. This is NOT a romance. It’s erotic new adult fiction. The story isn’t pretty. It’s sort of gritty when you get down to the bones of it. There’s sex. There’s a teenage girl growing up and seeing people for who they are. I loved that this story isn’t pretty. It feels relatable not in exact terms, but if you read it and get the underlying message then you will see how any single person can relate to Shelby and the things she goes through.

I’m not quite sure if I’ll continue the series right away, but I do want to once it’s fully completed. It’s a good read, and a great way to get a point across without beating it into someone’s head. Well done.

Wow, I need a beer! I did not see that coming. It wasn't a cliffy but the ending left me dazed. Bravo Eden. This book was taboo. Stepbrother romance on crack! I really liked it. It was a throwback to country simple living at it's unconventional best, the heroine Shelby learns life the hard way. She finds herself with a few months till graduation in a new step family with older step brothers in a rural country town. But she is not broken or weak and she finds her way. I don't want to give the plot away, but I will encourage you to take a chance on this one. Some will get their feathers ruffled, but remember it's taboo, a stepbrother romance and it has NASCAR and the south as a setting. What's not to love?

I think I’m in the minority on this one, but I did not like this book. Don’t get me wrong, I like the whole pseudo incest, banging the stepbrother thing, but there were several other aspects of this book that I absolutely hated.

Shelby’s mom gets remarried, and she and her mom move in with her step dad and super hot stepbrothers, Caine and Colt. They like fast cars and illegal drag racing and have a saying “gas or ass.” The whole premise of the book is not bad. You want a ride, you got to pay up or put out. Shelby gets caught up in their world and wants more.

She wants more of her stepbrother Colt, but he keeps throwing other guys at her. He pretty much forces her into losing her virginity to an overweight sheriff on the hood of a car so that Colt’s half-sister Caroline won’t have her car seized. Then, when he blows his load inside her, the boys stick a beer bottle up her vaj to cleanse her in hopes of decreasing her chances of getting pregnant, which I don’t think is even remotely effective. I’m not totally opposed to dub-con, but this was gross to me.

Then, Shelby screws Caine, but Colt thinks she’s still not ready for his massive cock. Further justification for her to screw other guys. When Shelby wins a drag race, the winner gets head, so some old guy goes down on her. He then tries to fuck her, which Colt encouraged in order to loosen her up for him, but she freaks out.

Not to mention, Caroline is all the while fucking everything with legs so her stepbrother boyfriend can get off watching.

I think the stepbrother pseudo incest theme is hot. The whole forbidden fruit, living under the same roof but not supposed to touch turns me on, but Gas or Ass did not do it for me. I know this is not supposed to be a HEA, but I really hated how much of an ass Colt was. He acted like he wanted her, even if it was just for sex, but then he threw other guys at her like it was nothing.

She eventually wanted the other guys, having them line up like her friend Caroline to have a go. All this for Colt. Why, Shelby? Why? I just wanted to hit her in the face and knock some sense into her the entire time I was reading this. Apparently Caroline and Shelby were both excellent students, which makes me question their promiscuity even more.

I won’t give away the ending, but it provided clarification for why Colt did the things he did and made him an even bigger asshole. I don’t know that Shelby deserved everything she got, but she certainly had it coming, being such an idiot. I just wanted to shake her and ask how stupid can you be?

MAJOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT:
Where do I begin? I guess by stating that this book opens up with a giant note from the author discussing slut shaming and kink shaming. I was all here for that as no one should be crucified for what they enjoy in their sexual life (unless it’s illegal lol). And I will not be shaming this book for that. I will, however, warn anyone else that this has some taboo stuff and I truly mean that. Not just stepbrother romance, but having sex with strangers, objects, and other taboo things. But that wasn’t my problem with this book and why I couldn’t finish it.

Okay, there was something that happened in particular that made me feel like I couldn’t read this book anymore. Basically, Shelby the main female and a bunch of other people including her new stepbrothers and friend go out and drag race. The cops end up showing up and her stepbrother Colt’s half sister’s car is going to be towed. The sister, Caroline, offers the cop a sexual favor to look the other way but he says that she has been used by too many other guys for him. This is when Colt gets the bright idea for Shelby, the virgin MC, to offer the cop instead. Shelby says no and tells him that she doesn’t want to lose her virginity like that. He basically begs her to do him this favor she refuses (And rightfully so! Like it’s so unbelievably fucked up that he would ask her in the first place). And then he gives her a look for saying no and basically blackmails Shelby into doing it anyways.

“But I knew, deep down in my gut, that if I said no, he’d spin this tale to my mother in the worst light.”

Shelby ends up going through with it, she cries the entire time, and then Colt doesn’t want anything to do with her after. He feels slightly guilty when the other brother calls him out, so he tells her she was a good girl for him and basically tries to patch things up. I couldn’t read anymore after this. I’m not mad that Shelby did it, I’m freaking livid that she was forced into it and emotionally manipulated into giving up her virginity to a sleezeball cop. Eckkk!

I did end up skim reading ahead to see how much deeper this goes and Colt has Shelby do a bunch of other things she doesn’t want to do. He even gets extremely mad at her when she puts her foot down about something and punishes her for it. Yeah no. Colt is despicable and there is no way I was continuing to watch him do this to Shelby for the rest of the book, let alone more after this.

Absolutely fab. I found the story very well written and I just couldn't put it down...I'm despret for the next!!

The story centres around a young girl called Selby who's being bought up by her single mother. One day mum comes home announcing she's got married and there moving house right there and then. New dad has two sons...Colt and Caine who are older. Working hot males. There's an instant attraction.
All the men in this household are heavy into cars, drag racing....Selby is drawn into this world. She makes friends with a girl called Caroline who just happens to be Colts half sister. Selby, Colt and Caine, do get it together, in some exceedingly wild, hot sex scenes, over car bonnets, bedroom, where ever..... Virginities are lost, in not the most romantic way.

This story is about young love, life struggles...rose tinted glasses and the reality bust...coming down to earth with a very big bump, parents discovery and hopefully youngsters finding themselves on a free path of self discovery and I hope ultimately revenge. I can't wait to see where this strong loveable woman, who has grown up so fast, who's clever and very independent, where her story will take us next, and I personally can't wait. I can't wait to see Caine and Colt get what's coming to them, but I hope it's colourful!!!!!

I was given this story by the author for an honest review...honestly I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. It's written with feeling and passion. I loved the authors explanation at the start of the book, explaining the writing style. I found this set me up for how to expect the story to flow and why.. There are a couple of minor errors, but I knew exactly what was meant and to be frank I was so wrapped up in the story that they just blurred into the story...I'm not perfect..who is!!!!. But one things for sure, this story blew me away big style, so unexpected...brilliant !!!!!!

Let me start this off by saying I am totally an HEA girl, so I was a little bit scared when I read the intro that this story would have no HEA. At the same time, I was intrigued by her "kiss my ass" directed toward the judgy authors, lol. Gotta love her attitude!

So... I'd say the heroine was TSTL, but she was SO freaking young, and I honestly felt like she did everything she did in order to please her step-brothers. Initially at least. Some of her choices... wow. That is *not* the way I would choose to lose my virginity. Ugh. But man, her stepbrothers were twisted, and not only in a freaky, sexy way. I'm sure it all stems from their roots and their perceived deficiencies due to familial crap, but damn they messed with her big time for shit she had no control over. I have to give her a lot of credit for taking off when she found out the extent of it.

But everything in between... good old spank bank material. If you enjoy group sex/public sex/anonymous sex/quasi-taboo (step-sibling) sex, it's here in spades!

And now I have to see her get her revenge... on to the next one! It was teased in the intro that hate would turn to love in #2, so I gotta see how this goes down.

(One small note... a few copy editing issues here and there pulled me out of the story from time to time, but it was mostly OK.)

Both males are shameless, dirty and wicked. They're openly "harassed" Shelby but surprisingly she's quite enjoyed it. And I'm like... What?

WARNING ALERT!
1. Shelby was a virgin. She is love-lust with her stepbrother, Colt. She's also offer her virginity to him but he rejected because his cock is too big for her small body. Uh huh... Then when the police discovered their drag racing, Colt begged Shelby to give her virginity to the police. FUCKKKKK!

2. Nothing is more disturbing than spreading your legs to strangers. The winner gets head which means blow job for cock and oral for pussy. Shelby's hidden talent for racing makes her a winner. Colt openly sharing her to others before asking Shelby's consent. She cried and Colt is angry. FUCKKKK!

3. In the end, someone told Shelby that her stepbrothers whoring her for gas. Imagine that!

4. I do not like Caroline. Period. She's a good and loyal friend but her "free ways" is my pet peeves.

I really enjoyed Gas or Ass. I liked it's bluntness and the unexpectedness. I don't often read the authors note but did with this one and liked Edens words. I like honesty, no matter if it's brutal or blunt and found her straightness refreshing.

Gas or Ass us unlike any book I've read namely as not only don't you get a HEA but it's more blunt and to the point than you'll d or the. Can I also commend the car choices, my favourite car of all time is a Shelby gt500 (I even have a cat named Shelby) and loved the drag racing background (I used to race cars a long time ago). Yes this book is definitely a 4 star, I loathe the boys yet were they hot!

I was so not expecting to love this as much as I did. First, the title... ugh. Then, there's the racing and the backwoods feel to it all, BUT that's kind of the point.
Let me say, if you're like me and usually skip the author's note at the beginning, don't this time. I don't know what possessed me to read it, but I'm so glad I did as it gave me a whole new perspective.
This had the mother of all twists that I did not see coming. Love when that happens but even without it, the sex scenes alone warrant a high rating. Can't wait for the sequel.

I found myself intrigued by the blurb of this one, definitely worth checking out. Then as I read the author's note I agreed with her message, but wondered if the story wasn't going to work for me.

I liked Shelby from the start, couldn't imagine growing up with that kind of mother, the one where you needed to be the adult. I was stunned that the mom managed to hide things for a month and then sprung the change on her like that. I sort of wanted to slap her.

It was here that Shelby went downhill for me. It seemed like she lost her personality, she just let herself be rolled over by her new brothers, her reasoning was gone in 5 months. It didn't help that all of sudden she turned into stalker girl smelling their underwear. I thought my eyes were going to stay rolled up in my head from that.

In the end this one just wasn't for me.

The characters are awful- Shelby is annoying as hell, Colt and Caine are straight-up assholes, the whole story is RIDICULOUS... but the author explains in the foreword that this story started off as a satire , so it makes sense for it to be outlandish. I kinda liked it!

3.5 stars! Don’t take this book too seriously. I would definitely categorize it as a “guilty pleasure” and I'd probably read the sequel eventually.

I am clearly in the minority here. I DNF this book at 35%. I am not a prude by any stretch of the imagination,but this book was just...gross. Satire or not, I couldn't stop rolling my eyes at Shelby's idiocy and gaping at some of the gross things that went on in this book.

When I first started this book (1st couple of chapters) i was super into it. Shelby seemed like a cool chick who was trying to get away from her mom and have a better life. This all went downhill the second her step-brothers came into the mix. I was SHOCKED when she let Colt feel her up the second she got into the car. The description of her in the beginning made it out like she was a no-nonsense kind of person with a take charge attitude, but it just blew my mind that she just let him get all grabby..but whatever, I decided to overlook it and carry on.

The she moves in and sniffs their underwear? GRODY. There is nothing in any fantasies I have ever had that made me want to sniff a mans underwear. Then she sees them naked, watches Caine jerk off, hears her mom having sex, gets turned on by it and then masturbates knowing that Colt is on the otherside of the door? No. Just no. I could have looked passed all that until she was actively listening to her mom get banged.

Then the car scene with Colt. Whatever. THEN the drag race scene. I'm sorry, Shelby is a moron. You want to be a voyeur, knock yourself out..but to let your step-brothers convince u to lose your virginity to a fat sheriff just so his half sister doesn't have her car impounded? That's just gross and degrading. Not to mention, if Caroline's dad can afford a $70,000 car he can afford to get it out of impound.

I get Shelby wants to get wild and let loose, but that's taking it too far. THEN she let's Caine shove beer up her vaj to "flush out the swimmers." Uh no thanks-not to mention..i'm pretty sure that is not a valid form of contraception. It was just gross. All of it.

Let me start out with … Once upon a time there was a red headed country girl, her looney toon momma, her super sexy step-dad and two newly found – wickedly nice (but most definitely naughty) stepbrothers who were thrown together with the expectation that everyone will be nice.

See, I love a story with a wicked edge, full of angst and characters that can give me multiple holy sh** moments. My first impression(s) of the female lead (Shelby) is that she was having a hard time dealing with a flighty mom (Macy). I was really like poor kid … her mom is a (you know the word) with little or no regard for her daughter. Then the story gets going and I'm like ... well I'm like Shelby what the hell are you doing? Now, I'm talking to the book ... literally yelling look at your mom, look at your life and now your choices. Darn Shelby don't be that girl . If you've guessed by now, I'm hooked (yelling at the heroine and totally drooling over what may or may not happen next).

Being the reader, I have to sit back and think about what I've read so far regarding the heroine. So, this is what I came up with --> ego centric mom + affection starved young woman + self-esteem issues = gullible young woman. If this was her mother’s goal - then mission accomplished. Then again I believe I'm giving Shelby's mom too much credit and I definitely need to refocus.

The male leads in this book are so drool worthy and so very, very wicked. Caine and Colt Hannah aren't twins but damn they could be. Their looks play off one another (the light hair verses the dark) and the personalities are the same. Caine is broodingly quiet while Colt is the manipulative sweet talker. As the reader, I ate it up from both of these leads. They lead Shelby (and me) on a merry chase of trying to figure out who was the true bad guy between the two.

The author did a very good job with this first installment of the Cuda Confessions because she made me fall in love with muscle cars/American cars all over again. This read was steamy and eye popping with a lot of laughing out loud and peppered with ample WTFs. Got hooked and that’s all there is to that.

I know what some of you will be thinking..oh great, another stepbrother book but you are so wrong!! There is so much more to this storyline than a young girl falling for a stepbrother. It's a deep read and boy does it make you feel. Nothing is as it seems until you get to the end of the book then it all falls into place.
Shelby is a 17 yr old senior just wanting to get through school so she can get on with her life and away from everyone. Then, out of the blue, her mom comes home with a new husband Dale and his two sons. Off to a new school, new town, new dad and two brothers. It's a racy story about a young girl coming to age and trying to find her own life and possibly love.
She finds a friend in Caroline and the two party and race. She has a friend, she thinks she's in love with one of the brothers and life seems to be good. Until...well you'll have to read this book!!
It is nothing like you've ever read before or at least I hadn't. Not for the faint of heart but it flows with the story and when you read it you'll understand!! One of the best I've read in a long time!

For all of you Eden Connor fans and readers out there. In my opinion you will find that she has changed up her writing style in this book. As always her books are well written and thought out, graphic descriptions in her scenes and still writing on "taboo" subjects of content that most other writers are not willing to write about. And Mrs Connors writing is true to form with this book also but with a twist. While reading this book I was shocked, enticed, riveted and revolted, intrigued and introduced to a different kind of subject that you hear but don't normally read about. But then that is what makes a book good to read. As for the "twist" I mentioned. Well you will have to read the book for yourself to find out what i"m talking about. What I will tell you is that despite all that you may think or feel, like me you will be waiting for the prequel to see what happens next in the GOA series.

Gas or Ass is a good read. Shelby is in high school who just wants to get through school and get away. Her mom comes home and out of the blue she has gotten married. Now all of a sudden she has a step dad (Dale) and two step brother (Colt and Caine). Shelby and her mom move in with them and that's when stuff gets a little crazy.

Colt and Caine are super hot and are into racing cars. At her new school she makes an instant friend with Caroline. I have never heard of the saying gas or ass and I found the whole concept interesting. Shelby finds out no ride is free even if it's your step brother giving you a ride. Even though Colt and Caine are her new step brothers Shelby can't resist them. Her best friend Caroline has in some kind of relationship with her step brother. I felt like this book covered some taboo subjects as well as poking fun at some of the stereotypes we have. At points I was sure how I should fell about some of things happening. I was definitely surprised by some things.

This book has fast cars, hot cars, and a whole lot of crazy. The ending was crazy and I am not even sure what I'm rooting for to happen next. I can't wait to read the next one.

Holy Hell!! That was freaking HOT. What could possibly be sexier than two almost identical brothers that both want you? Umm, nothing. I don't think anything is sexier. AND one is blonde while the other has dark hair! YUM. Shelby finds out her mother has went out and married the guy she's been dating for the last month. Now she's going to have to leave her home and her school, TODAY, to go live with her new stepfather. Then her new stepbrothers, Colt and Caine, get out of the truck to help pack. Poor poor Shelby. Ain't life hard.

I actually really enjoyed this book. The whole "gas or ass" expression made me roll my eyes a little but it was fun to read. The author does warn ahead of time that if you're looking for a HEA then don't read it. She wasn't joking! I was so damn pissed at those brothers that I almost wrote them off... then I remembered how hot and dirty they were and well, they're forgiven. I found myself really loving Shelby's mother, Macy and the brothers father, Dale, quite a lot. Dale became a kinda knight in shining armor. I cannot wait to read book two!! F#@king cliffhangers!!!!! Aaargghh!!!!!

I suspected I wouldn't like this but I was intrigued. The brothers disgust me. She's so fucking stupid I wanted to claw my eyes out. Her mother is so fucking desperate for affection it's sickening. Dale is something else, I haven't figured him out but I'm sure he's not so fucking innocent either. I went through all of this fucking shit just to see the ending so book 2 better be every fucking thing. However if there's a fucking sign that she's gonna end up with 1 of those motherfuckers(or both) I will be DONE with that book! My rating also has nothing to do with this being too "dark". I've read fucking dark books that'll put this to shame. I just don't like weak, naive women.

I was lost at the moment people kept repeating "gas or ass" and the moment their anti-abortion method including shaking a beer bottle and shooting the contents in her vagina while following up with yeast infection meds to prevent a yeast infection. That is the DUMBEST shit I've ever heard! I was like, no one believes this shit. WRONG. I kid you not, I heard someone suggesting this the very next day. I corrected their dangerous and very vagina unfriendly suggestion. I had to stop reading this because it was making me lose hope in humanity. I could get past the. cheesiness and the uninspired sex scenes, but let me at least keep my faith in humanity.
