1. I am about to start reading Fox Swift. I am going to read this book because many of my friends have read Fox Swift and say it is a great book to read because it is an easy read and that I love footy so I should read it. I know the book is about footy and a boy named Fox goes to the outback and plays footy. I also know that Cyril Rioli was the author but that is about all I know. I expect that the book is going to be very good because friends talk very highly of it.
2. I am half way through the book Fox Swift. I am really enjoying the book because it is funny and relatable. The only thing is that it was what I was suspecting. I think that Fox in real life would be a great kid. He likes looking at the hall of fame at the Diggers Football Club and he specifically likes watching the records of a man called Mr Scott. Mr Scott is old and rusty and Fox persuades him to be his footy team coach. The reason being that there footy team was doing terribly and they were losing all their games. I think that Fox is a boy that is nice to everyone, can be a bit of clown and dedicates his time to footy. There are bullies that bully Fox and his friends called Mace and Vince. They think that they are the best at footy and they are show offs. On the Footy day, Buddy Franklin and Cyril Rioli came to the school and Fox Swift was in detention so he snuck out of the classroom to see the world class footy stars. I am excited for reading the second half of the book!
3. I really enjoyed the book Fox Swift. There was a lot of thrill, it was extremely funny and it is written very well. My expectations for tor the book were very high. I was expecting it would be very good because a lot of friends have said it was spectacular. I think that the book has definitely reached my expectations because of many reasons. One of the main reasons as I said before was how well the book is written. It really has good language and a lot of depth meaning that it really felt like you met the characters in real life. Overall the book was very good. Although I felt that the start of the book was a bit slow but everything else was good. The 2nd half of the book when the Diggers improved beyond expectations and ultimately beat the dominant Dragons for the premiership was really remarkable. I liked the book because of as I said before there was a lot of thrill especially during the Football games, it was quite witty and of course I love it because I go for Hawthorn and Cyril Rioli is my favourite player in the whole of the AFL.
I have recently started reading Fox Swift, and so far it has been an amazing book. It's straight up my alley, it's about sport and very entertaining so far. I think the author wrote this book to entertain but also I think there might be a moral that you won't always fit in at first, but if you be yourself you will eventually have a lot of fun and maybe even be the best you can be.
I Have recently finished this book and I loved it, I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I loved how he won the grand final even though they had almost no confidence from miles, and that they were the complete underdogs. The fact that they won even though they barely had a footy ground was amazing.
I would recommend this book to people around my age because it is a book that you start and 3 hours later you are still reading!
This book will capture the minds of even the most reluctent readers. You can laugh your way through the book at cartoons and the text. I found it really hard to put the book down and could not sleep at night, wondering what would happen next.
i think this is a fantastic book. i love how there is like 3 stories going on at ounce, at different venues and some same people. yes, it might be a footy book but i know a few people who don't play footy that enjoyed this book. i love the graphs shown in this book of ladders and games, it makes me understand more what is happening. the ending does get a bit rusty after the grand final, like there is not so much exciting news going on, or the footy season has ended. i loved this book because mainly i am a footy lover and i am in around the middle age for recommendation ages for this book recommended for ages 9-13
This is the best book I've ever read I love mace and his dad and Vince always failing and Vince eventually stopped being bossed around by mace and told him to be quite and how at the end Hugo meets his star cryil rioli and he is put under the pump in front of goal to win the diggers the game and fox is a amazing football player and there's Lewis an amazing runner this book is hilarious fun and amazing
This is an interesting book and I think it is very one-sided in fox's view. I mean notice how whenever one of his enemies try's to mess him up, they are found out or humiliated in some way. I do like how this book ends with Hugo finally getting the credit he deserves after all the work he has done to help the diggers develop.
