🖤 MY READING EXPERIENCE
Some books break your heart. This one keeps the pieces. You will be changed forever.
I knew going in that this wasn't going to be an easy read. Tragedy isn't usually something I gravitate toward, but Grace and Lizzie's story deserved to be told and deserved to be read. Their story is achingly beautiful, devastatingly heartbreaking, and one of the most unforgettable books I have ever experienced.
L. Creeke writes with a special kind of magic that feels impossible to explain. Her words don't simply tell a story; they make you feel every emotion. Reading her work feels like placing my heart directly into her hands and hoping she'll give it back in one piece.
Spoiler: She never does. Somehow, I keep coming back for more.

💭 CHARACTER THOUGHTS
Lizzie and Grace's relationship is built on unwavering devotion. Grace would do absolutely anything for Lizzie's happiness, and Lizzie loves her with that same fierce intensity. Even knowing how their story ends, I found myself cherishing every moment they shared together.
Their love is pure, honest, and deeply selfless.

🔥 MOMENTS I’M STILL THINKING ABOUT
The overwhelming depth of Grace's love.
The fact that she never truly stops taking care of Mary Elizabeth.
The realization that some love stories don't end when the people in them are gone. 💔

⚠️ ONE SMALL NOTE
This is absolutely a love story. But it is not a traditional romance with a happily-ever-after.
It is a story filled with love, loss, grief, and beauty. If you're willing to let it break your heart, it's one I will never stop recommending.

📚 READ THIS IF YOU LOVE…
Sapphic historical fiction • Butch/Femme romance • A protective-as-hell lead • "I would do anything for you" • Love that endures beyond loss • Characters you'll never fully get over

5 stars. Oof, this fucking hurt! Beautifully written, but I honestly had no idea what to expect going in (I skip trigger warnings cause I’m annoying. LOL) but wow this was a powerful love story. Tragic and beautiful. I loved Grace and Mary Elizabeth so much, this is a novella but the author did a fantastic job in making you feel their chemistry and how much they truly loved one another which makes it all the more heartbreaking in the end. No spoilers, but this had me crying hard. I didn’t see it coming and I kept hoping it was somehow a fake out or something but nope. It hurts and you have to just sit with it. I loved it but I need something much fluffier after this one.

This was such a beautiful love story, but so heartbreaking. From about half way through my tears fell. I don’t think they stopped. My heart is shattered for Lizzie & Gracie. I felt every single word of it, and I know I’ll be thinking about it for quite some time to come.
