Hang on get comfortable you aren’t going to put this down until the last page has been turned. Maris a baker up early along with her baby girl Elin who is part elf who consistently fights her about covering her ears but needless to say the day proceeds than she hears about a dark elf bounty hunter coming into town searching for travelers that have been stealing and hurting his people she knows it is her daughters father. Kaedrin sexy as all get out dark elf bounty hunter tracker he remembers the women from three years ago wonders about her all the time and so stopping into her baker only to be met by a little girl with his eyes and ears (although he hasn’t seen them yet) but Maris runs him off but he can’t stay away. So, of course he comes back with questions about his baby girl, and he leaves for the night he knows staying away isn’t an option. The magnetic pull is there between them, but will she find it in her heart to forgive him for walking out after they were together without so much as a note, will she give him a second chance to be with them, will he fail her a second time around, will he catch those he is after, and can they find happiness the second time around?

Kaedrin Veltharos the elf bounty hunter

This book was interesting and I enjoyed reading it. The storyline was slow and methodically paced. The sentences were punchy and descriptive.

In the blurb we are told that Maris, human female, had a one night stand with the dark elf Kaedrin Veltharos. The author did not go back in time to provide the details. So the story begins with Maris and her sweet daughter Elin in her bakery making breads. Then Kaedrin is assigned a bounty in the same town that he was in three years ago, when he met Maris. Kaedrin is still drawn to Maris and remembers her fondly. Their story begins there. Read On!

A well written second chance story that's about Maris our human baker in Brindle Hollow and Kaedrin our Dark elf bounty hunter and their daughter Elin. This was an entertaining story as rumors of something is killing the livestock around the forest. Then a caravan shows up selling their goods. This brings Kaedrin into town since he's following the caravan suspecting they're transporting contraband. He then discovers that Maris had his child. What occurs as Kaedrin involves himself into their lives was an enjoyable copy I'd volunteer to read and review.

Quite a dramatic and intriguing story with characters that came alive! I must admit I’m in love with them and now I need some warm fresh bread!
