'Getaway Lodge: The Unforgiven' was even better than the previous one. I hadn't expected the other perspective, but reading this was so different. It really added to 'The Descent Below' and was very well written. I already liked the previous book, but this was amazing.

This author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I was a little bit iffy on the first few but I’m so glad the author reached out to me to review another one. Since then, he hasn’t had to ask because I can’t wait for the next one to come out. Much of the same notes here, I love his writing style and that the characters aren’t perfect and the whole universe the author is building. I definitely and will always recommend his books to people who love the dark and twisty.

Getaway Lodge: The Unforgiven is a dark, atmospheric blend of psychological horror and supernatural mystery. The story slowly unravels its secrets, keeping you hooked with eerie twists and emotionally layered characters. More than just scares, it explores trauma, guilt, and the haunting weight of the past. While the pacing is a bit slow at times, the chilling ending makes the journey worthwhile. A great pick for readers who enjoy horror with depth and suspense.

I really love the authors writing style, and yhe third installment of this series did not disappoint. I feel like this book brought together the third two nicely and awnsered some questions I had previously. This ended on a little bit of a cliffhanger, so im pretty sure this story will continue.

Another brilliant episode in the Silentsomnia series by Tully Oldin. Getaway Lodge: The Unforgiven begins with two lads that have been up to no good in order to survive but find their actions have consequences. Looking out for each other, they face rival gang members in a turf war, but surprisingly emerge victorious against them despite some substantial battle scars. Life continues in the same vein for Adrian and Gabriel, but it appears that their past is destined to seek retribution. Faced with the imminent threat from characters that emerge from their past, they run headlong into a fight that leaves them running for a safe haven. They find themselves at Getaway Lodge, but for anyone familiar with this building from previous episodes, it doesn't bode well for Gabe and Ade. They find themselves trapped in a place where all their sins are intent on dragging them into oblivion. It seems that purgatory exists for those who live unsavoury lives and death is not always acknowledged by those it claims. I leave this review voluntarily and extend my thanks to the author and Book Sirens for the opportunity to read this eARC.

Like always, another fantastic story to further the Silentsomnia universe.

This book can be read as a stand alone, as it focuses on a completely different set of characters from any of the others. It only the universe that is the same through out all of them.

The story is mid to fast paced. Straight forward with no swapping between characters or places. Keeping the story easy to follow and engaging.

Lots of direct action scenes written in a way that explains exactly what is going on without any odd ball non logical descriptions. If they are shooting they are shooting. If the characters are talking they are talking.

It is refreshing to read a fast action horror based story that isn't filled with padding out pointless descriptions, of pointless things.

Looking forward to reading more from this universe and honestly the concierge is really good and would love to read more with him in it.

Somehow this author presents you with less then desirable main characters, but make you understand there motivations and yet wondering if the "monsters" are infact the good guys, or at the very least less of a monster than presented.

This author is starting to become one of my favourite authors due to the writing style.

Each book in this series can be read as a standalone, but to get the full impact of what the series can bring you I suggest starting right from the very beginning.

In this book you go through the view of Adrian. A man you very much disliked in the last one, but you got to see why he was a certain way. He was a man who never gave up, he fought for what he wanted, and was loyal even if he didnt show it.

This story gets into your head, sinking you into the depths of the dark waters and keeps you wondering what story will the author give you next.

I've read from the beginning of this series, but I believe this was the best of them all simply because of what was revealed about Adrian. I know that none of the characters were good people, but I wish there had been a way for Mark and Gabriel to have a second chance to do things right. These books are short but very impactful. It's a serious mind trip, and I love it.

Long Legs at the Overlook? Very cinematic storytelling in such small bite size books Silentsomnia allows for small books to contain a much larger world than what is just on the page.

The world feels loved on and characters have trajectory and backgrounds. It's obvious Tully has a real world in his mind and already formed as his words hit the page.

Make sure you read the third book in this series.
