This was an enjoyable Protheka Dark Elf romance story that's about Aeryn our human seer who has visions and Vaedros our warror of the House Drazharel wants to use her gift to find an artifact that opens paths between outcomes to help his brothers win a war against an enemy house. What occurs when they search in the Dark Woods for the artifact was an engaging well written story with drama, romance, and action with likable characters in this copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.

To me this was quite a pleasant surprise! The writing, the banter, the action. I was expecting the regular romantasy smut, I found strong MMC and FMC characters, good writing and a great story arc. This is one of the best things I've read this year!
