When a demon and a dragon get busy, "burning up the sheets" gets real.
James thought stealing a royal dragon egg was a terrific idea—until the prank went sideways. His sister and twin brother have done their penance. Now it's his turn. Ten days of servitude to Teban, the dragon prince—James's best friend. Such a light sentence has to have a catch, so James does what any good demon would do. He bolts.
His string of bad luck holds steady when he falls prey to a pretty woman with sharp teeth. Kihra is havoc, a race of lower-realm creatures even demons fear. When she joins forces with Teban, their torment becomes delectable sin. No vice is too addictive, no demand too brutal when it comes to satisfying his lovers' needs.
All seems hellishly perfect—until the angels arrive for some payback. Kihra's kidnapped, Teban is missing, and James suffers the beatdown of the millennium. But he has no intention of letting his lovers go, though he risks the wrath of the demon king, the ire of the dragons, and an angelic punishment that could start a world-ending war.
Warning: Contents highly flammable. Contains dragons and demons having a painfully pleasurable good time. Havoc—literally—ensues. Handle with care.

This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
Now normally I don't read the books with the female factor added in anymore. But I made an exception for this one. If you read Marie Harte you may know that the original two books in the series came out in 2007 and 2008. I have been waiting a really long time to find out what happened to the last sibling James. So when I saw this was out I jumped on it. And let me say that Marie Harte did not disappoint.
This starts out with a bang (ha-ha) and does not stop. I simply loved the three of these characters together. They are all bad asses in their own right. Together they are simply hilarious and dangerous to others. I laughed my way through a good part of this book. I mean seriously some of the one liners are awesome. Plus Kihra and Teban arguing over who owned who was great.
Along the way they had some very sexy times together. I didn't think I would really enjoy the sex scenes as much because, well you know the girl parts. But I honestly even enjoyed those. This three are damn well burn hot as hell together.
The writing was fast paced and on point. It told the story of three people forming a bond that in the end made them even stronger. Even with James being the reluctant one, he still could not deny what he was feeling.
There was action, girls kicking ass, hot sex scenes, and a happy ending. What more could a reader want.
And holy shit. The ending scene with Asael caught me completely off guard. I so did not see that coming. It also leaves the series wide open for more books. Which I really hope is coming.
Great storyline that I really had to concentrate on following esp the twist at the end.
The 3 mcs in this story again where all brilliant and hugely entertaining. The world building was superb esp the realms, really fascinating and frankly unique!!!
Best in the series so far.
Cant wait to read book 4, I've been waiting for the dragon kings book since book 1!
I love a good menage, and this one is among the best I've read. The sex is hot, literally, as denizens of the earth's core find love across species lines. This book will not disappoint!
Another great book in the series and this one is funnier than the rest. They all contain quick wit, humor and laugh out loud moments, but this one with James just tops them all, so far. In this installment in the series we get a look at another race of creature aside from just Demons, Dragons and Angels...enter the Havoc. This story is right on point with the first two and should be read in order, after Duncan’s Descent, since James is mentioned at the end of the book and it sets up the beginning of this book and his predicament. Havoc & Hell is a well written, fast paced enjoyable read full of twists and surprises. The characters are delightful and the storyline so engaging it is easy to be swept away. Ms. Harte has created a great world full of intrigue and adventure. This story contains M/M/F romance.
James and his twin, Duncan, both face the punishment of servitude to the creatures they offended when they played a prank and stole a royal Dragon egg and blamed it on the Angels. As funny as they thought it was, they have to suffer the consequences of an almost war. While his brother has been sent to the Angels for his penance, he is sent to the Dragons…specifically his best friend, Teban. Wanting to put off his servitude as long as possible, James takes a wrong detour and ends up in the hands and teeth of the Havoc; a mysterious race of creature that live secluded and no one knows much about, including him. However he is getting a quick education being tortured by a young one he mistakenly thought needed assistance. Thankfully his urgent message for help is received and Teban arrives just in time before he is used as a sacrifice by the young one’s aunt, Kihra. Though when he finds out the extent of the sacrifice, he and Teban are on board but neither knew the effects of the sacrifice until they feel the connection between the three and Kihra and Teban start arguing over who belongs to whom. More complications arise when the three enter James’s world to show Kihra something other than the Havoc lands and watch him in action with his sways. Unbeknownst to them, as the trio grow closer spies are chattering to the Angels who still want recompense for his and his brother’s actions. They thought they only had their families to be concerned with but when James is attacked and Kihra taken an all-out war of all races is on the brink if he and Teban cannot save her and offer a proper explanation it could be the end for them all. *I read and reviewed an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest review.
James Sinclair is a demon, no, no, a real demon. He sways souls to his side of Decision. But at this moment he is bound and literally being chewed on by a nine year old Havoc. The nasty little creature is trying to eat him alive bite by bite. Maybe one would think he deserves it seeing as how he is a demon, but one may argue he is just too sexy to die that way. How did he get in this situation? He tried to save the young Havoc. If he’d known she was that mean, he’d have left her to her own devices and saved himself the pain of being a Havoc chew toy.
Kihra is the young Havoc’s auntie. She is nothing like the little monster trying to devour James, Kihra is a beauty. She intervenes but decides James must make a sacrifice. And he would make such a good sacrifice. From the fry pan to the fire sound familiar?
Teban, the dragon prince and good friend of James, arrives to rescue him. But being a good friend to a demon allows one to laugh at his predicament before the actual rescue. Before the actual rescue can be accomplished, Teban ends up as a sacrifice as well. He makes a very good sacrifice. We are talking about Hell here and sacrifices must be made…again and again. The trio realise they are a triad, each arguing over who owns whom.
Then those pesky Angels decide they want to save Kihra’s soul and all Hell breaks out…
Some things are just worth waiting for...this is one of those things and boy did we have to wait. I first read parts one and two of this series years ago. I have read and re-read them numerous times, always hoping that James's story would be arriving soon and I stalked Ms. Harte's website always hoping to see a publication date, but instead finding the dreaded "on hold", stupid publishers! So here it was finally, after years of waiting and I was terrified that there was no way it could live up to my hopes and expectations, WRONG! This book starts off with "action" and then continues With humor and fights and more action! Never a dull moment with these three (and yes I did say three and yes I do mean in "that way" so avoid if that isn't your thing). Honestly though I hope you don't avoid it, I hope you buy it and read it and love it so that we can maybe get more stories from this world. This world of dragons and deamons and angels...oh my!!! I love her different take on these common themes, the world Ms. Harte has built is one I definitely wish I could visit!
It’s time for James to do his penance for a prank gone sideways and he’s supposed to serve Teban, the dragon prince but he bolts only to fall prey to a pretty woman with very sharp teeth in this exhilarating paranormal romance. There are just so many fascinating elements in this series and with some manipulations going on behind the characters’ backs there are plenty of surprising twists to guarantee that there is never a dull moment and I can’t wait to read the next Ethereal Foe story.
I love this series, and had been waiting for this story for some time, I think I read the first two like 2 or 3 years ago.....this one was worth the wait. James, Teban & Kihra were awesome and pretty kick ass together and it was great to see Eve, Ranton & Jentaron again....can't wait for Dragon King later this year. While I wish the stories were a bit longer (you can never have enough of hot dragons) they are still fun, it will be interesting to see where the story arc is going with the bit we find out about Aseal at the end.....
Wow, what a great story. Things are heating up in hell and something big is brewing in the future of all the realms.. Loved Kihra , what an interesting female and perfect for James and Teban. Cannot wait to see what is going to happen with the dragon King Jentaron and will Asael be as smart as he thinks he is. Is Kingu really the great creator of all realms? I need to know these things.
Cute. I felt a little confused in parts of this book too. So I don't think it was my length of time between story #1 and #2. I think the book is short and she tries to pack a lot in so some details get lost. However, overall I enjoyed the story.
The author is creative and keep you on your toes. The story is well-written, has action, excitement, romance, and steamy love scenes that leaves you saying ahhh. Loved it and keep them coming; they are awesome.
