I’m in freaking tears as I just finished reading this book and had to write the most emotionally driven review. I love Charity Ferrell and the Saint Vale series is just another addition to her long list of masterpieces, but she outdid herself with this one. This book has like a thousand crazy plot twists, the most unhinged characters and a super emotional and forbidden romance. Unlike Enzo from book 1, Brooks is not mafia but is the “perfect” son of the fictional President of the US. But rest assured he is just as unhinged as his best friend. You don’t need to read the first book to read this one but I highly recommend it to better understand Saint Vale, their cult and the whole deal with the “sons” getting “Fawns” as basically their personal sex buddy every year. Brooks and Daphne had crazy tension from the start because her dad shot at his and from then on they’ve tried to hate each other. But really the only thing that hate is how they can’t get rid of their feelings for each other. Now Brooks may be able to kill someone without blinking but he is secretly a whipped puppy for Daphne. He does some crazy stuff in trying to convince others (but mostly himself) that he hates her but the way he got possessive when another “Son” wanted to claim her spoke for itself. He’s also a secret romantic because there’s so much about him beneath the surface that only Daphne and us lucky readers get to see. Now them screwing in the White House may have started all the chaos but their relationship goes way back and when the true depth of their feelings for each other are revealed I guarantee you will cry. Both of them have to act perfect, with Daphne being a literal island princess and Brooks being the presidents son, but when their love for each other starts to overpower their duties…well drama is sure to happen. There are so many surprises and twists that I would never have seen coming. Charity Ferrell totally perfected this plot and made another two characters that will hold a piece of my heart. I love Brooks and Daphne and gosh their book was heartbreaking, unhinged, damn smutty, and so worth the read. I give this a 5/5

Son of the president and a princess now that’s an interesting match, well it does have a slight twist when her father attempted to remove his father permanently and since that day these two have been at odds.

Similar to Enzo Marchetti in book one Brooks is another walking red flag, however you could also say Daphne our FMC has her own red flags when it comes to Brooks but I think she would prefer pink if you asked her.

This book focuses on the Night Sons secret society similar to book one where each year a Night Son will take a Fawn which is more or less a chosen who will be protected by her Night Son but will also be at his mercy. But this book does deviate from the university itself and we find ourselves either in Washington or Calira Daphnes home.

After the events of the last book Enzo has made it clear that Brooks needs to take a fawn and not just any fawn, Daphne. These two are quite tangled up with history, from having a romantic relationship before the attempt her father made on removing the president to then becoming enemies, yet these two can’t stay away even if they are just giving out to one another. When the prime ministers of Calira’s son, Corey, makes a request for Daphne to be his fawn this really kicks Brooks into action. Honestly his mindset was that if he can’t have her no one will and he demonstrates this to Corey which is quite a tense moment.

Of course Brooks doesn’t need his father’s approval but he lets him know of his decision. His father is outraged but he accepts on the condition that he makes life hell for the chosen fawn due to the history.

After Daphne realises she has no other option than becoming Brooks fawn her mother gives her two options, fight or make him fall for her. This book really does give an insight to how broad the societies reach is outside of the university considering Daphne’s grandfather the king was also a night son. Even with Brook’s intensity he eventually caves and realises that he doesn’t believe he could give Daphne up after the year has passed, despite what might have transcribed between them in the past.

Similar to Blair in book one I like that Daphne likes to get even or one up on Brooks where she can but these men like to play dirty and there is no limit to their madness. The jealously and possessiveness in this book is unmatched. I would say some moments between these two are quite intense so be prepared for that.

There is a lot going on beneath the surface and I certainly didn’t expect the plot twist. There was one/two conversations that happened between various characters (that I will not give away due to plot twists) that I would have loved to seen in the book but that is only a minor critique.

The author has certainly lined up the next book in the series and it’s definitely going to be an interesting one to say the least and I cannot wait to dive back into this world in the near future.

Thank you to Valentine PR who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

Heartless Sinner is the second book in the Saint Vale series. It can be read as a standalone. It follows Brooks & Daphne in their enemies to lovers story.

𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑵𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔: Brooks Marchetti & Daphne Kenward
𝑺𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: Saint Vale/ Washington/ Calira

Brooks and Daphne used to be close and even slept together in the Oval Office. But When Daphne’s father attempts to kill the president ( Brooks’ father) it ruins everything they had. Now they are left with lots of hate and anger. These two have so much hate between them and it is really intense. One of the other guys at school wants to make Daphne his Fawn but Brooks is not having it. He steps in and makes her his Fawn and puts them closely in each other’s orbit. The chemistry between them is still there and before they know it, they can’t keep their hands off each other. These two are very flawed characters and Brooks is most definitely morally gray. Somehow together they just seem to work.

Thank you to charity for giving me an advance copy of this book. Can I just say I have never read such an emotional roller coaster in any of her Mafia books but I was living for it.

Brooks and Daphne have my heart like I can so see this becoming a movie of their love story. Brooks was such a bad ass but also had such a big heart for Daphne while also delivering that killer mafia aspect as all her mafia men have. I loved how charity always connects the characters from past books into the next to keep them all connected.

I loved Daphnes big heart for Brooks and her friends and wanting to put them first was so cute. I love the happily ever after but the plot twist of brooks sister OMG I need her book ASAP.
I cannot wait for more

This series just keeps getting better and better with every book and I swear I’m getting more obsessed with each one! 🙌🏼

I was already so intrigued by Brooks and Daphne’s dynamic after the last book, but boy was I not ready for them! This was the enemies-to-lovers romance done SO well. They genuinely can’t stand each other, but at the same time they absolutely cannot survive without each other. The tension, the push and pull, the obsession, EVERYTHING was just so good.

Brooks was definitely not the MMC I expected him to be. He’s the polished, put-together president’s son, but when it came to Daphne? We got to see the most unhinged, obsessed, possessive and dominant side of him 😈

And Daphne?! That girl is a baddie! She might be my favorite bratty, feisty FMC ever. She was strong and unapologetic but still vulnerable when she needed to be and somehow managed to be the perfect princess while also giving Brooks a run for his money 👑

The plot, the writing, the chemistry, the obsession, the spice… I loved every single thing about this book. It had everything I want in a romance and then some!

AND the ending with Adelina?! 👀 I am so ready for it and cannot wait for the next one! ❤️

P.S. - The cover 🥵

Tropes: secret society, college romance, enemies to lovers

When you think Brooks can’t possibly be as unhinged as Enzo - Charity Ferrell says “hold up”
The “president’s” son and the “princess” are a story that shows betrayal, love, trust and so much drama you will be on the edge of your seat in anticipation.
I loved Brooks and Daphne and after Heartless Devil I couldn’t wait to find out their backstories - who would have thought that these two had a history before her father tried to kill his father. The more details we learned, the more I couldn’t wait to find out more.
Daphne became Brooks’s fawn too, even though he wanted to hate her - he couldn’t. Their love story was not the fairytale our princess wanted but together these two realise life apart is not something they can do. He may not be part of a “mafia” family BUT Brooks is ruthless for everyone apart from Daphne - for her he’s a lap dog and I was here for it.
It was a welcome back to Saint Vale we all needed. I cannot wait to see who our next book is about!
Thank you so much to Charity and the team at Valentine PR for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was my first time reading this author and I loved this book!

This one is definitely a strong enemies to lovers. The MMC is a bit ok largely on the psychological dark side especially when it comes to the MFC.

Dark academy secret society world where the men make the rules but the women are still strong as you know what. They have fight and bite.

I loved the power struggle between the two and banter. However, I loved the chemistry the most the side he only showed her.

I’m not going to lie I was frustrated with the hypocritical side when the truth comes out. After all the horrible things the sons do and then to judge and
act they way they did OY.

Over all I did love the book and the ending! I can’t wait to read the next one!

”Only in your dreams will I ever be yours, Brooks,” I whispered.

Daphne and Brooks are lovers to haters to lovers perfection! Heartless Sinner takes us back to Saint Vale and back into the secret society world of The Sons, Fawns, and Havens. Not only that but Brooks is the (fictional) president’s son, so a little dabble into the corruption of (fictional) politics as well.

Honestly, this one was such a good read in my opinion. Daphne and Brooks are truly in hate with each other. You can’t hate someone you don’t care about and these two are the proof. From a secret tryst with her best friend’s older brother, to betrayal, to becoming his Fawn no matter how badly she and he didn’t want that to happen. I liked that we got to see Daphne’s world as a princess and how it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be and that while Brooks has big goals for his future and present, Daphne consumed him in a way that she took reluctant priority over them.

I loved this book. I loved Daphne and Brooks figuring things out and I loved being back in the SVU world. I’m so excited for what Charity has planned next because it is teased in this book and I have my guesses. I have a feeling it’s going to a ride.

I couldn't put it down. Heartless Devil was a great intro and I love Blair and Enzo, but this one is my favorite so far. Maybe it's because it's second... Third ... Fourth? chance and the history gives the story more depth. Those last few chapters had me ugly crying. I can't wait for the next, I need to know who the Son is!

Author Charity Ferrell is back with the latest release from her Saint Vale series.
Book two Heartless Sinner has us following Brooks Byron; Co-leader of The Nights Son as well as son of the President of United States of America. And Daphne Kenward; Princess of Calira in this Enemies to Lovers, Sister’s Best Friend, Secret Society, Dark College Romance through the telling of their dual perspectives.

Just like their friends Enzo and Blair from book 1 Heartless Devil, Brooks and Daphne’s journey was a wild and crazy one, on top of being chaotic considering there was so much to learn, unravel and discover along the turbulent ride the two found themselves navigating upon and through.

Author Charity came through in delivering yet another jam-packed narrative that had each page turn so easy, while moving faster the more you read on.
Then again it was to be expected since Brooks and Daphne story had it all.
Whether it be drama from the constant events and situations that put Brooks and Daphne at odds throwing metaphorical punches, while pushing and pulling, through the many highs and lows.
To the suspenseful build surrounding not only the secret society, but also the many mysteries revolving around the never ending secrets that seemed to be constantly alluded too, resulting in lies and deceit at times, as well as some action-packed thrills that was dark and twisted.
It was no wonder you couldn’t help but fall deeper as the story progressed further.

As for Brooks and Daphne’s and their relationship, well that made for quite the ride alone.
Their banter of them going back and forth, again pushing and pulling, given the many steps forwards and backwards, was not only entertaining, seeing as how they enjoyed throwing metaphorical punches at one another with their insults and cursing one another.
It was emotional too from the depth we saw once they got into the nitty grittiness of it all, after the unravelling of their layers and walls surrounding themselves being broken down, showing a whole other side to their characters. Particularly Brooks.
As well as being hella sexual from their rising tension that had them emitting heat so hot, it led to major sparks going off given their shared chemistry that was always sizzling. Ultimately paving the way for many Red-Hot, Sexy and Spicy, Lustful steamy moments together.
The results of all of this had you entranced throughout, devouring all the interactions even more quicker. Simultaneously causing you to fall down the rabbit hole of everything that was Daphne, Brooks and the many paths they travelled within their journeys as individuals as well as their wild and twisted, yet somewhat toxic, Enemies to Lovers relationship journey.

One thing that needs to be said, while Brooks definitely gave Enzo a run for his money when it came to his behaviour, seeing as his RED FLAGS went above and beyond in him truly bringing his dark, twisted, depraved and unhinged to another level in comparison. Even more so when it came to doing it in the name of Daphne.
The fact that Daphne seemed to take it all and handle it well majority of times, so much so that she even gave it back to him at times too proved not only that she was strong and capable.
But that the two were meant to be each other’s endgame and it was something that had me locked on tight in seeing it all play out.

In the end, Heartless Sinner by Charity Ferrell made for a great read that was well written, having thoroughly enjoyed it. Particularly due to the enriched storyline that showcased many tropes and elements to explore, unravel and discover upon alongside the wild journey that showcased Brooks and Daphne’s character development in their story.
Can’t wait to read the next book from the Saint Vale series, especially from the sneak peek we were given in the ending. Safe to say book 3 could not come fast enough.

Heartless Sinner is an enemies-to-lovers story that is pure fire!!🔥🔥 Brooks and Daphne were so spicy together, and yes, I mean ALL the spice; the no clothing spice, all the clothed spice which includes their banter, the tension wrapped around their heat and knowing how much they wanted each other but would never admit it to one another before burning down the world...along with burning the world down if they couldn't have one another 😂 It’s that kind of obsessed spice level that made for one delicious read!!🥵❤️🖤😍

Brooks is the president’s son, and Daphne is a princess from a small country, but more importantly she's also the daughter of the man who tried to assassinate Brooks' father. Isn't the phrase we are not our parents mistakes pertinent here, but when the bitterness of broken trust still hangs heavy and emotions run high, it's hard to remember that the sins of your parents are not your own.

Brooks and Daphne once were close, a link shared through his sister who is Daphne's best friend, but after the event that changed their lives forever, bitterness is all that seemed to sizzle in the air between them. That is until another wants to claim Daphne for his Fawn and eventually make her his wife. Bring on the obsessive man who refuses to let someone else have her. 😈 Daphne is Brooks' Fawn and his alone, even if he doesn't want to admit it. 😏

I loved that both Daphne and Brooks were red flagged MCs, which made them perfect for one another, if they'd only admit it out loud 😉. I'd say they were both heartless sinners 😈 at least in the beginning. So while they were both full of red flags, never doubt that Brooks wanted every single one of Daphne's as his obsession for her ran deep. The same goes for Daphne once she finally admits she's just as crazy for him.🚩She may wear pink, but red should be her favorite color.❤️

Brooks may not be a fellow baby-mafia man, but he sure fits into this anti-hero world with ease. 😏 And Daphne may be a princess, but she gives back everything Brooks throws at her. It's great that she's not a wallflower and is constantly ready for whatever he has to dish out. Her snark is fantastic and the tension, the banter, the will-they or won't-they was thick from page one.❤️👌I couldn't get enough. Heartless Sinner held me from start to finish and I loved it!!

Enzo Marchetti and Blair, his Fawn, along with all the other Marchetti cousins and Havens, are all back and waving their morally black flags, giving girlfriend solidarity right alongside their fellow Night Sons as this entire series continues to grow.

Book 2 of the Saint Vale series was all it was promised to be and more! Charity, I don't know how you do it. Seriously. You give us small town, you give us rom coms, you give us angst. But you also give us dark, you give us unhinged, you give us political intrigue, you give us broken men we didn't know we needed. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Brooks is the son of the current president with aspirations to become president himself one day. Daphne is the daughter of a King, so that makes her an honest to goodness Princess. You would think they would be made for each other, and really, they were. But when 1 father tries to take out the other father, what was starting to be became what could have been. Even though the attraction was still there for both of them. Lord, it was still there, no matter how much they fought it and try to turn it into hate.

Enzo pushed Brooks to claim Daphne, not knowing the backstory fully, and though Brooks kept pushing back, when another Son attempts to claim her, all bets are off and he does what he has secretly wanted to do for a long time. But he doesn't make it easy on her. In fact, at times he's cruel to her and every once in a while he's sweet to her, which confuses Daphne so much. But Daphne is also hiding some very large secrets from Brooks, ones that she knows will change everything.

When those secrets came to light, my heart absolutely broke for Daphne and her Mom. And it also broke a lil for Brooks, because he wasn't sure what to believe was true or not. When he confronts his Dad, he finds out Daphne isn't lying but even then he cant bring himself to forgive her, because if she had loved him like she said, she wouldnt have hid everything from him. Thankfully, with a little time he comes to his senses and eventually our lovers find their way back to each other. It wasn't easy, it wasn't clean and it wasn't fast but they decide together that they want to be together and work everything out. I know that sounds so generic but its about the only way I can describe it without spoiling it. lol

Thank you Charity for allowing me to continue to ARC read for you, I know things have been changing in the background and I am grateful to be able to still be along for the ride. Also, a thanks to VPR for sending the ARC out!

Well, this was very good… a bit intense, but a really, really, good read!!! And the prologue! 😱 It sets the vibe for a great story. Charity Ferrell outdid herself with this one. Heartless Sinner was very emotional, unhinged, very spicy, and full of secrets and twists I never saw coming.

Brooks is the president’s son and a Night Son (their society rules the entire university), while Daphne is a princess whose father tried to assassinate Brooks’ father and who betrayed Brooks. She is also his sister’s best friend. These two have a history, and after everything that happened between their families, they’ve spent years trying to hate each other. The problem, however, is that the feelings never really went away.

Brooks is just as unhinged but also the “perfect” son and “future president” (if all goes as planned). He can be ruthless and downright crazy, but when it comes to Daphne, that man is obsessed. His jealousy and possessiveness were everything, especially when another Night Son tried to claim her, and when she's in danger. Daphne is fierce, sarcastic, and absolutely refuses to be a helpless princess. She gives Brooks just as much as she gets, which made their banter and chemistry so damn good. Still, she hid a secret from him that could destroy them.

There is SO much happening and a lot of secrets. Some of the reveals genuinely shocked me, and the emotional side of this book was so painful and made my heart ache (that last part was so 💔). Their relationship is messy and complicated. You can, however, feel how deeply they love each other underneath all that anger and hurt. They will always find their way to each other, even if it means going “overboard”… She belonged to him after all! His Fawn!

I also loved getting more of the Night Sons and seeing how much bigger this world is beyond Saint Vale.

Brooks and Daphne’s story broke my heart, made me laugh, made me scream, made me blush, and gave me a real rollercoaster of emotions. It dragged a bit in the middle, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment. Charity Ferrell has once again created two characters who are going to stay with me.

This book had me from the dedication. But I love Saint Vale and all its demons so much i couldn't stay away regardless.

I guess I'd never be friends w Daphene and Aelina, because I love crunchwraps....well before the diarrhea lettuce epidemic, but I digress. [iykyk]

THIS FCKING SERIESSSSSS. My god its so good. The story line - the schmex - the tension. Its sheer perfection 👌🏼. This story was one I never knew I needed, but it's like oxygen at this point.

Daphene and Brooks are iconic, and I'll take that to my grave. I thought Enzo and Blair would be my fav, but these 2 are so adorable. I love the love/hate chemistry and the secrest that unfold.. just WOW.

The ending is perfect, BUT I wish there was more. Like what happens next?! I have 2 questions that I hope will be answered in the next book, because I need that like yesterday.
Until then, this will live rent free in my head.

Oh and did I mention, this book had such a hold on me I read it in 1 sitting?! Ya I was not putting this down. Ahhhhh I just dont know how Charity does it. This whole world gives me life.

Morally Grey Hero who is No Marchetti but comes Damn Close, A FMC who is a Royal Princess with Undercover Red Flags but loves the color Pink, College Secret Society Sons, Unpredictable Suspense with a hard fought HEA. These Unhinged Men go Above and Beyond for their Fawns and I'm All In!

TW: guns, knives, murder, torture, explicit graphic scenes, dub/con, mention of back alley abortion, alcohol consumption, cursing, coercion, blackmail, mafia, politics, stalking, primal hunting games, hidden cameras.

I would like to Thank Charity Ferrell for my ARC and in return I voluntarily promised an honest review.

Brooks Bryon is the President of The United States son and has been trained to follow in his footsteps. He's a SVU Nights Son and since he's a senior he needs to pick his Fawn for the year.

Daphne Kenward is a Royal Princess from Caliran and is a Junior. She happens to be best friends with Brooks sister and had fallen in love with Brooks when her father attempted to assassinate the President, which turned them into enemies afterwards.

Brooks has always been obsessed with Daphne and reluctantly claims her as his Fawn but downplays it to an act of revenge. But after only one day of his claiming his obsession has skyrocketed and if he must play dirty to keep her that's not a problem.

Daphne is keeping a secret hidden and if Brooks and his family find out what she's done then her Heartless Sinner might just rip hers right out of her chest.

First thoughts:
I’ve been reading through some arcs lately. Some have not been so good. And then some remind me why I love to read the tropes I do 😈😈 charity ferrell hit this one out of the park and I am beyond excited for the series.

This one is goddamn delicious. Brooks is a walking bouquet of red flags and I am here for every.single.one 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I devoured this book so fast that it prob wasn’t healthy but I can guarantee you will too!!! I needed to know how this would all play out. The tugging and pulling and pushing away. Ughhhh 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 I could not put it down.

✔️ Best Friends Brother
✔️ Enemies to Lovers
✔️ Secret Society
✔️ Touch her & ☠️
✔️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Brooks and Daphne gahhhh I absolutely loved them. I loved how they loved each other before they even acknowledged that was even possible. Brooks fought for her as long as he could even when he didn’t want to any more. And when he finally had enough and the line was drawn in the sand he still fought. That ladies and gentlemen is a how Brooks Byron is a top contender for book boyfriend of the year 🫶🏼😻🚩

Highlights:

My stomach growled at the smell of the pizza. The red logo on the box belonged to Ed’s Pizzeria. My favorite. They didn’t deliver to Saint Vale. Which meant he’d driven forty-five minutes each way to buy me pizza after spending an entire night terrorizing me. Again, psychopath behavior. Thoughtful psychopath behavior, but still.

Would I read again? Yes
Would I read more from author? Yes
Would I recommend? Yes

Heartless Sinner by Charity Ferrell is the 2nd book in the Saint Vale series. It’s a dark college mafia romance, enemies to dangerous lovers, set in the elite, secret society world of Saint Vale, where masked men rule the campus from the shadows. Brooks Byron is the president’s son, a Night Son, and wants to follow in his father’s footsteps to become president one day. Daphne Kenward is the daughter of a King, so a Royal Princess.

Daphne once knew the real Brooks behind the mask and fell for him. But after her father attempted to assassinate the president, they became enemies. As much as they try to hate each other, that chemistry remains, bubbling away in the background and when another of the Night Son’s tries to claim Daphne as his fawn, Brooks turns almost feral, dragging her back into his world, claiming her with a mix of punishment, obsession, and unresolved desire. She doesn’t know whether he wants revenge, control, or something far more complicated — and he’s not sure either. America’s golden boy — polished on the outside, dangerous underneath.

Daphne and Brooks journey is dark, addictive and emotional, built on the tension of betrayal, power, and dangerous attraction. Brooks is cold, controlled, morally grey, his unravelling feels earned, while Daphne must face the consequences of breaking the wrong man. The Night Sons’ secret society politics add layers of corruption, legacy pressure, and masked menace. Heartless Sinner is tense, smoking hot, emotional and expands the Saint Vale universe with sharper stakes and deeper secrets.

📕BOOK REVIEW📕

Stop!!!! I am OBSESSED with this book. I literally inhaled this book in a day because I was hooked. Gone. It destroyed my reality haha

This is my first book by the author, and it defo won’t be my last.

Brooks is the president’s son, he has a reputation to uphold, but he’s also a ruthless member of a secret society. Then there’s Daphne. Best friend to his sister, and harbouring a secret, one she hopes Brooks never finds out. Brooks and Daphne despise each other after his father shot and Daphne’s father is the man behind it all. However, Brooks wants her has his fawn- a year contract, and Calira’s princess wants nothing to do with the man who hates her guts.

Sooooo much happens in this book. It was a rollercoaster of a plot and I LOVED it. Brooks was absolutely unhinged and he’s flying those red flags proudly. Daphne was not as unhinged as him, but she had her moments. I loved everything about her; she was funny, charming and absolutely fierce. Even though you know her secret is going to hurt Brooks, you can’t help but love her even more. I thought she was just brilliant.

As this is the second book, you don’t necessarily need to read the first. I didn’t, and I understood what was going on, but it didn’t give too much away about book 1’s MMCs: Enzo and Blair I literally have it downloaded as I need to delve into their story.

This is a mafia/secret society romance-there is some heat, there will be some bloodshed. You will love it, I promise.

Heartless Sinner is book 2 in the Saint Vale Series from author Charity Ferrell. This gives us Brooks and Daphne’s story which was an enemies-to-lovers, hate you but really I love you, with all the tension and spice.

Brooks and Daphne once were close at one point and in fact both are secretly in love with each other. Brooks is the president's son, and Daphne is a princess from a different and smaller country. But everything soon changed when her father tried to who tried to assassinate Brooks' father, who just happens to be the president.

When another Son, Cory, wants Daphne to be his Fawn… well everything changes. Brooks becomes the this obsessed and crazed man for Daphne and wants no one to have her but him.

Daphne has a backbone and I loved that she gave him everything right back and wasn’t a soft character. The banter and spice and tension were all spot on. Both characters to me were extreme red flags and perfectly matched with each other .

The only thing that prevented this from being a five star for me was the first part, maybe about 25% was a bit slower and slow to hook me but once i got hooked it was game on.

Thank you to charity for this arc.

OH MY GOD. I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH. 😭

I really loved the first book in this series, and ever since getting those little bits about Brooks and Daphne in book one, I was SO eager to finally get their story. And omg… I was NOT disappointed.

The setup??? He’s America’s golden boy, the president’s son, perfect smile and perfect image, while she’s a princess whose father literally tried to kill the president. UGH. I was immediately sold. 😂

And these two have SO much history and so many secrets between them, which made everything between them even more intense. Add the secret society, the dark academia atmosphere, all the mystery surrounding these characters, and the feeling that there is always SO much more going on beneath the surface… I was hooked.

These two **HATED** each other and yet were so ridiculously obsessed with each other and I ate up EVERY SECOND OF IT.

There was spice. There was plot. There was drama. The writing was clean and easy to fly through, and somehow I finished this in **less than 24 hours**. That should tell you everything. 😂

I was completely hooked from the beginning and I honestly cannot wait for the next books in this series. I NEED THEM ASAP.

Brooks and Daphne, you guys were everything. 😭🖤

**Solid five stars. Absolutely loved this.**

Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I was so excited to be back in the world of Saint Vale, and Heartless Sinner was another really enjoyable addition to the series. Charity Ferrell certainly knows how to write a romance full of drama, tension and characters who make some seriously questionable decisions!

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from Brooks after the previous book, but he definitely surprised me. On the outside, he's the perfect president's son, but get him anywhere near Daphne and that carefully controlled image goes straight out of the window. Possessive, obsessive and completely morally grey, he was far more interesting than I expected especially after we met him in Book 1.

I really enjoyed Daphne too. These two have so much unresolved history between them, and I loved the way their feelings kept getting in the way of their determination to hate each other. The chemistry was fantastic, and there was plenty of spice alongside all the drama.

My only complaint is that I wanted a little more of them! I would have loved an extra glimpse into their future because I still have so many questions about where life takes them. This was another addictive read, and I'm already looking forward to seeing what Charity has planned for the next book.
If you love dark romance, enemies to lovers, secret societies, morally grey men and plenty of obsession and spice, I would definitely recommend this series.

Daphne and Brooks are the definition of lovers to enemies to lovers, and omg, I ate it up. Their relationship is so so complicated and full of resentment, but underneath all that hate, you can tell there’s still so much between them.

What stood out to me most was Daphne. She isn't your typical perfect, sweet FMC, and I actually loved that about her. She makes some genuinely terrible choices and has plenty of flaws, but it made her feel more realistic. I was constantly wondering what she was going to do next and whether she would eventually make the right choices.

And Brooks... the man is definitely not innocent either. 😂 The tension between these two was EVERYTHING. They hurt each other, betrayed each other, hated each other, and yet somehow kept finding their way back to one another.

I also really liked getting a glimpse into Daphne's life and seeing that being a "princess" isn't always as perfect as it looks from the outside. Add Brooks being the fictional president's son and all the political corruption into the mix, and there was definitely a lot going on.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. The angst, the messy characters, the tension, and the secret-society drama made it such a fun read. Can't wait to read the next book!

MF Dark Academia Romance

Great read!!!! If you like your MMCs to be walking red flags, who are wholeheartedly obsessed with the woman they believe is theirs and a FMC with a backbone who like the colour of his flag, then you’ll love Brooks and Daphne’s story.

“You’re nothing but red flags.”

There were secrets, betrayal, suspense, completely unhinged and unforgivable moments, undeniable chemistry and tension, delicious spice, great banter and so many obstacles trying to keep them apart

It took a bit to get but they worked hard for their HEA. Looking forward to Adelina’s story

* Enemies to Lovers
* Second Chance
* Secret Society
* President’s Son
* Princess (small foreign country)

Brooks and Daphne have such a complex story, but the thing I loved most about this story is that both the FMC and MMC had some irredeemable moments, and yet they found ways to work though those issues to still be together.

I think Daphne is the first FMC I’ve read that has truly done some horrible things and it was refreshing to see an FMC be so flawed and not just a “ray of sunshine” she wasn’t Brooks’ opposite, she was in some ways an equal in the terrible choices they both made, and it made her more real. Her internal battle with her morals truly left me wondering if she was ever going to make things right.

That’s not to say that Brooks was an angel of an MMC, because he wasn’t. He truly was unhinged, but you could see him soften ever so slightly to Daphne.

The character development thought this story was so good. Things were difficult and we witnessed the struggles and saw what happens when a friend group doesn’t easily accept a “significant other” but we also saw Brooks and Daphne fight for their love, and it was so worth it.

I was at a loss for words after reading Heartless Sinner. Ms. Farrell has once again delivered a dark romance story filled with angst, friendships, danger, betrayal and what could be looked upon as a forbidden love. Being back at Saint Vale with the secret society and a group of men who will do anything with no remorse.
Heartless Sinner is Daphne, the princess and Brooks's Fawn, and Brooks, the president's son, love story and it will send you spinning as well as riding an emotional rollercoaster. These two are the picture-perfect couple of two people who look like they want to kill one another but deep down they are so in love that it is dangerous. She has secrets that would have Brooks turning on her, which in turn would shatter her heart. Brooks is fighting internally between loving Daphne and following his father's request. Who will win the fight in Brooks's heart?
Looking for a dark college romance where you will be fully engrossed and lost in the drama? Then this is the perfect book for you.

I LOVED IT! Wait you want more than that, this was freaking fantastic ... more? OK, first this is the second of what is fast becoming a favorite series for me. I will start with while this series may have some second gen couples, this is not one of them. Brooks is the President's son, and Daphne is the Princess of Calira; all new families in this world that the author created. Brooks' family has been in the Nights Sons for generations, same as Daphne's. The whole Son and Fawn thing is nothing new for them. What also isn't new is that Brooks wants Daphne but despises her, blaming her for her father's failed assassination attempt on his father. There is a whole thing, I won't spoil any of it though. We are getting some really good drama, hot naughty bits, danger violence, everything that makes this an amazing dark romance. I will say that Charity Ferrell has yet to disappoint, and leaving us with the breadcrumbs for the next installment has me sitting on the edge of my chair already! I give this 5 huge stars.

Once Brooks and Daphne were falling for each other. The president’s son and the princess. But then Daphne betrayed Brooks and now they hate each other. Or they’re trying to. Then Brooks claims Daphne as his, dragging her into his world. But what will happen when Brooks find out just how much Daphne betrayed him?

Heartless Sinner is book 2 of the Saint Vale series by Charity Ferrell. It’s a standalone in this interconnected series. I haven’t read book 1 so far and I don’t feel like there were any spoilers in Heartless Sinner for book 1.

I usually like my romance more sporty than dark but every now and then I like to spice things up with a little bit of dark romance and when I read the blurb for Heartless Sinner I knew I needed to dive in this series and I wasn’t disappointed. The story is incredibly interesting and complex with the dynamics at Saint Vale and all the Sons. I loved how there is this whole extra world inside of Saint Vale without being unrealistic. There were some twists and turns in the story I definitely did not see coming which only served to heighten the suspense. It made me inhale this story. The love story is not the usual love story. It’s not all sunshine and roses, for me it was a bit toxic at some points but the more one got to know Brooks the less toxic this relationship seemed. I loved their attraction, their banter and their bond. It’s such an incredible read and I can’t wait to read book 1 now and I can’t wait for book 3. 😍

Brooks completely surprised me throughout the entire story. While I expected a certain level of craziness from Enzo given he is a Marchetti, I did not expect Brooks to be on the same level.

I have loved Daphne since the first book, Heartless Sinner. Her sarcastic comments had me laughing throughout, and it was fascinating to see her life as a princess in Calira and a Fawn.

This was a fantastic depiction of the friends-to-enemies-to-lovers trope. I felt every emotion right along with Daphne—I laughed, cried, and wanted to punch Brooks in the throat at times. Brooks and Daphne are easily my favorite couple in the series so far.

I highly recommend Heartless Sinner and the rest of the series. I am really looking forward to Adelina's story!
