Part One of a fun, new romance serial. Definitely contains a cliffhanger.
Billionaires don’t date real women like Jada ... they marry them. Jada Howarth doesn’t believe in fantasies, unlike her sister who constantly dreams of being swept off into happily-ever-after-land in the sculpted arms of a sexy billionaire. Jada knows the truth, that rich men want supermodels, actresses and heiresses. They don’t want women from small towns with smaller bank accounts, women who lead normal, ordinary lives like Jada.
Then one day Jada awakes to find a crush of news crews outside her house, all shrieking for her attention. They believe she’s secretly married to Ian Buckley, one of the wealthiest, most sought-after bachelors in the country. Jada has no idea what they’re talking about, but the reporters are too busy fighting each other for the scoop to actually listen to what she has to say.
Ian Buckley, billionaire and man-in-charge, couldn’t be more surprised when he’s informed that a marriage license has been leaked to the press proving he married a woman named Jada Howarth. He doesn’t know anyone named Jada, and he definitely doesn’t remember marrying her. Either he’s lost his wits, or someone’s out to make a fool of him.
When he sees the disheveled, lovely Jada on TV, peeking out her door in horror at the reporters swarming over her lawn, he’s confident she’s not behind the scam. He’ll have to meet her to be certain. Men should probably meet their wives, anyway, shouldn’t they?
It’ll be fun getting to the bottom of this fiasco.
This story is approximately 22,000 words long, 80 print pages.
Mia hit the perfect pace with this story.I adored Jada and couldn't help but be charmed by Ian. Down to earth with a sensitive side, he wasn't the average millionaire. I enjoyed watching them get to know one another. It felt natural, and their attraction seemed undeniable.
Jada is a brilliant, independent, sweet woman making a successful living when her life is turned upside down by a rumor thatbshes married to a famous billionaire. The unique plot was new, intriguing, and still has me guessing what's next. It'sa cliff hanger ending, but I think she stopps at the perfect place.
I usually shy away from series where you read less than 150 pages a book, but this series is pretty good. I already have my guesses about how this while thing started but that could be the author leading out that way...
Omg,Omg I can't wait for Part 2!! I love Jada & Ian's story, I can't wait to see how his "girlfriend " is going to stir things up!! I hope part 2 is a little longer.
Part One of a three part novella series with a unique start. Jada and Ian are two strangers from drastically different backgrounds that have never met one another, but just happen to be married. Intrigued yet? I was.
Jada and Ian's story definitely have the WTF factor, but the way that the author has developed both characters and their budding relationship in the mists of utter chaos with wacky yet likable supporting characters, you can't help but like this story, even Agatha, Sasha's mom gets my nod of approval with her crude, but in her own way caring abrasiveness. I'm definitely looking to see how the story continues to develop and the shenanigans that the supporting characters get up to as Jada and Ian navigate their way through what could be a nightmare or a dream.
This is Part One? Well, it looks like it's one and two - in one!
A romantic comedy with a 'regular' gal and a billionaire - unlikely pairing but somehow - it works. They are brought together by circumstances beyond their control. Better yet, they seem to 'click'. As news hits the t.v. that they are, in fact, secretly married, the two of them need to figure out what happened, and why.
With staying safely out of sight at a lakefront cottage, well, mansion, it is hard to track down the events that brought them to this point. With lovable servants, family and fiances, and news people making things worse by the day...well, this comedy of errors is fun and sappy.
While this story is cute, that's it, it's cute didn't keep my attention I read them so slow, I kept buying books all around them and reading those, but this book had me so bored that I couldn't concentrate on it, Jada was cute and dense, Sophia crazy gotta love her she added humor to a stale crowd, her mama publicist hmm, Ian love what he is trying to do with Jada, but again cute, but not hitting no high marks!
Very funny and endearing short story. Still trying to figure out the mystery marriage though. Both characters are will developed and both are down to earth, one in a middle-class way, the other though rich, is still sweet and kind.
Great read. I really enjoyed the beginning of Jada and Ian's story. There is great a great plot, character interaction and it flows well. Can't wait to read part 2. I recommend adding this book to your collection.
Great start to a promising series. I absolutely love the easy banter between Ian and Jada, they seem like they've known each other for ages. I love that Jada is strong but vulnerable, she's not afraid to speak her mind and yet she allowed Ian to take control when they were together.
This book is OK I just wish it wasn't broken into parts. The story would flow much better. The story is lacking character development. The characters so far are not really memorable
The title suggests that he is s force to be reckoned with as an Alpha male. That part of his character got lost somewhere in the beginning of the story. The love scene was not steamy at all. The only thing that really kept me interested was the "who done it" aspect.
I was surprised at how the story came to a head and Sasha was the culprit of it all. Ian was a great guy. He made me believe in love again. This book was very good and fun!
