Imperatora: Book Two

Rate this book
A sorceress, a battle priestess and a reborn huntress are trapped in the goddess Xehta’s merciless domain. Only the Lich King holds the secret that will allow them to leave.

The women must journey to the kingdom held in the lich's tyrannical grasp. Isolated from other nations, its people live under the watch and control of the Gray Guard and the king’s abominations.

The alliances the women forge in their quest for knowledge set them on a path to the truth behind their teleportation—and the rot at the heart of the goddess's domain. But to leave the lich's lands, they will have to fight their way out.

First off, hi—and thanks for reading my bio, and hopefully my books! This series continues thanks to your support.

So, a little about me. My fantasy obsession started at age 12, when I stole a bunch of quarters from my dad’s coin jar to buy a used copy of Pools of Radiance, a Forgotten Realms novel. That book cracked open a new world for me. I devoured every fantasy novel I could get my hands on, and soon enough, I was conjuring up my own tales of swords and sorcery.

Fast forward a couple decades: I spent one making symphonic metal, and another building my career as a software developer. Now, I’ve finally returned to my first love—writing.

When I’m not at the keyboard, you’ll probably find me lifting at the gym, out on a hike or bike ride, or diving into all kinds of roleplaying games. My best friend is my girlfriend, Alex, who’s stuck with me through thick and thin.

If you’ve read Imperatora and want to share your thoughts, feel free to leave a review or message me on social media. I love hearing what resonated with you, what didn’t, and what you'd like to see more of as the series unfolds.

Anyway—back to writing Book 3!

even better!

This was a FANTASTIC sequel!

While the first book focused on building the world and establishing the lore, this one hit the ground running and never really let up, in the best way possible. I loved getting to dive deeper into the world, the Abyss, and the demon lords. Every answer seemed to uncover even more questions, and it feels like there’s still so much left to learn. I already can’t wait for the next book.

And the characters? Whew, what a ride. One of my favorite parts was watching them continue to grow and influence one another as they navigate everything being thrown at them. Their experiences, relationships, and the world around them all shape who they’re becoming, and it was incredibly satisfying to watch unfold.

The multiple POVs really shine here. Being able to see events and emotions from different perspectives makes each character feel layered and fully realized. It adds so much depth to the story and made me even more invested in all of them.

This sequel expands everything I loved about the first book and leaves me desperate for more.

Love these 3 FMC book two is intense

Wow!... I mean WOW!

I loved the three main characters from book one. We learned that these three powerful women were torn from their worlds and brought to this world. As the world was building for us, Hellion, Ell and Desde were learning to navigate it and what they might be doing here. As well as their strengths, both individually and more importantly together.

Enter book 2. Our champions are given a mission from the queen. No spoilers ( i love reading reviews and hate spoilers, so I'm not going to do that here). Book two really brings the action. Powers are learned and displayed, answers are revealed (then more fun questions arise), loyalties are strained and twists a plenty. This book as it all, and is pretty intense.

The world becomes bigger and the characters become incredibly more gripping, making me beg for more. Need book three, like tomorrow!!

I personally am loving Ms Zbikowski's writing style and her staying true to her characters growth without straying from their cores of who we began to fall in love with in book one (making me fall even deeper in love with them). Her battle scenes are in depth, but easy to follow the action without getting lost in all the who's and what's. The world continues to grow with great vision that allows the reader to totally immerse ourselves with ease of navigating the world.

Can't say enough about these two books. A must have for your summer reading. Definitely start with book one.
