This book was awesome. This is the first time ever that I have read a book a had no words to describe it cause it was just that GOOD. It really is a page turner that draw you in from beginning to end. I cannot wait for Part 2.
There were a few errors but nothing too major. Deceit was at an all time high and it was as if everyone was trying to cover things up. I felt bad for Chink because she experienced the most heartbreak through it all. Lah was actually a good dude that found himself caught up because of his circumstances. His situation proved that all money isn't good money. Liem had to learn the hard way that the streets were not for him. I so loved Polo's crazy all! She was the true definition of a great friend and was the only one that wasn't hiding anything. When Karen first came around I felt her pain but towards the end she was a bit cold hearted even though it was understandable. Drone straight pissed me off because he should've let his ill feelings go a long time ago, then his scary ass couldn't accept what he caused. I can't wait to start part 2 and find out if those still involved will continue being in love with deceit or if they'll do what's necessary to move on.
Chink and Polo are best friends. Lah and Liem are brothers. The drama that happens when this cast gets together is nothing short of jaw dropping. It's one thing to have your paternity questioned, but when Chink spends here entire life loving one person as Mom, only to find out that there MAY be a twist to her maternal history, this story takes off in a direction that is unpredictable, racy, and unlike anything you'd imagine. Absolutely nothing is as it seems on the surface, and yet it all fits together nicely.
This author does a remarkable job of pulling a lot of twists into a manageable story that is not overwritten. There is a lot going on, but all of the pieces fit together. Each character fits, such that the story would be incomplete without that particular storyline. This is not easy to do, and I'm impressed.
That shit was hella crazy.I can't believe all the drama that Chink went thru.I don't understand how a grandmother would do such a thing but hey at least she got to met her birth mother.Lamiek and Chink were so cute together I wanted to cry when she was shot and then he did that.Polo I'm happy for her too because she deserves happiness.Liem was a good guy and I'm mad he got mixed up with the wrong ppl but that secret about polo mom wow.Now that ending was hella cray I can't wait to read part two.
This book was definitely full of deceit. I love how the story line and did not want to put my kindle down. There were plenty of moments when I couldn't believe what I was reading and had to re-read it again. The author created the characters perfectly for the storyline. This is now one of my favorite books by the author.
Wow I wonder who Lah is being charged with murder. How Chink going to take the news. Karen is just a grimey as Lah is. Both of their actions can cause them Chink's Love.
This was a very good read that held my attention from beginning to end. I thought this was going to be a stand alone but a cliffhanger appeared at the end. Looking forward to part 2.
I would definitely recommend this as a must read. I was hoping it was going to be a standalone book, but it's not so I can't wait for part 2. Good from beginning to end. Great job D. Brown-Newton...
What a book. It was non stop drama and I can't wait to read the next book. Even though Lah killed all those people, he is still my favorite character in this book and I really hope that the Author don't get rid of him in the next book.
I loved the characters and felt all the pain Chink was going through. Living a lie that her grandmother created. Finding her true mother and real love. The title says it all. I can't wait to read part two!!!
This is my first time reading a book by D. Brown Newton and I loved it!!! As soon as I hit submit for this review I'm going to start on Part 2. This book held my interest from beginning to end. 5 star read!!! I am officially a new fan of D. Brown Newton
