I was given Flint for an honest review by Manic Readers
Lily is on the run from her monkey farting poop stick of a murdering step dad. She knows he killed her mother and fears she is next. He has done everything in his power to chain her to him and now he plans to force himself on her so she runs even knowing that if she is caught she will be returned to him.
Flint and his friend Curly are in Austin where he took a pretty rough ride during the rodeo. Sleeping it off he is woken in the middle of the night to a noose and what should he find but a woman laying on the floor
I had a few notes that I took to help me with this review but much to my consternation my stupid screenshot app didn’t save a single one of my notes so forgive me as I muddle through this review as I had to go back and review the book and find things I know I remarked on. I have replaced my screenshot app so hopefully that won’t happen again because it took me an hour just to find the quotes I liked and really wanted to share.
Now to Flint which maybe has potential but it really needs some work, first the blurb promises and erotic rocking good time but what we got was a front porch scene that wasn’t too bad with its steaminess but not a really a “I need my toy or a cold shower” moment. Then there was the moment in the cab of the truck how was that erotic it had the potential for hot with more detail but erotic nope no way in heck was it even close.
The threat of from the cheese dick step dad might have been more believable if he had showed up sooner in the story, like maybe when she was in the police station or if maybe he had been in Austin looking for her and Lily was ducking into Flint hotel room to actually hide from him. There really wasn’t much to make Flint a credible story, except maybe her bruises, until the end of the story.
I honestly feel that Fran Lee could have done better with Flint because it seems like there was more to the story and she left it out. I doubt that I will keep and read this book again.

DNF @ 51%.
I couldn't connect with the characters and main couple lacked chemistry. The h was feeling lust for the H way too quickly. At one point she crawls to him and kisses him. It was so sudden. No woman would behave like that with a stranger she met. All too quickly we see the dreaded Cinderella scenario with the H buying the h clothes and giving her a job with a place to stay. The h quickly decides to buy condoms which again left me confused. She just met this guy!!

This was a pretty good story. I liked Flint and Lily and their story was enjoyable.
Lily is a 24 year old that hasn't had much of a life. Her father died when she was young and her mother married a con artist who stole all their money, killed her mother and then kept Lily captive. He used lies and deceptions to convince everyone she was mentally unstable and suicidal so Lily had no one to turn to for help.
Flint is a ranch owner and a good man. He occasionally participates in rodeos around the area to make some extra money but his main focus is his ranch.
Flint is just getting to sleep after a rodeo when he hears someone sneak into his hotel room. When he wakes up enough to investigate, he finds Lily in his room, soaking wet, cold and bruised all over. Flint feels an automatic and very strong attraction for Lily. He almost immediately sees her as his and as someone he'd do anything to protect. Lily had been planning to buy a bus ticket to escape the area but Flint maneuvers things so she ends up coming home with him with promises of work on his ranch. When they get to his place, Flint manages to get her to tell him her troubles and he is determined to help her escape her crazy stepfather. Lily is very attracted to Flint but she doesn't want to cause him trouble and fears her presence will bring trouble to his door. Because of this, Lily feels she should leave and Flint has some work to do to convince her to let him help her. There are some difficulties but things do get resolved and the story ends with Lily and Flint heading towards a HEA together.
I found this story to be pretty enjoyable. Lily and Flint were good MCs and I liked their chemistry together. The story itself wasn't perfect and I wouldn't have minded a bit more length but overall, I still enjoyed it and would recommend it for people looking for this type of story. :)

Loved this quick read
This story was a quick 1 day read. It was detailed but short and to the point of what was happening. This story could have been expanded and been longer, but was not needed. It's a story I would read again and I would read more from this author.

But is soon grabbed by hand and held down buy a naked man. Flint didn't understand why this woman was in his room and what she wanted. But when he seen how wet and scared she was, he knew something was wrong. Flint decided to help Lilly. When he finds out the real reason why she was running and sees some of the bruises, he decides that he will take her home and help her to the end. But he was not expecting to win him over and Lilly has to learn to trust her heart for the first time in a long time.

I really like the other two books I have read by this author, but this one did nothing for me. It was too insta-love and I could not connect.
The heroine is running away from her abusive step-father when she hides in the hero's motel room trying to stay dry from the rain. The hero finds her an immediately wants to protect her.

Not a hate really but not five star. He was hot though I mean if I was her, id lick him up and down and never stop. The I'd spread chocolate all over and repeat. The man was yummylicious. Yeah I know it isn't a word but I felt like put it in.

When I read the title I couldn't resist!!!
Quick read but REALLY good, all unnecessary padding left out so it was a highly enjoyable,totally hooked read for me
