When Taylor was four years old, she became an orphan and her childhood spiraled into darkness. She spent years lying, hiding, and avoiding any love offered to her until she was old enough to run away from all the threats of her past.

Now twenty-two, Taylor doesn’t think she’s worth more than being the kind of girl a guy hooks up with in the back room of a bar after her band plays. She definitely isn’t the one you bring home to meet Mom and Dad.

An unlikely rescue puts her in Ethan’s sight. He’s her total opposite, though. Ethan is a sexy dork who sees beyond Taylor’s guarded exterior. He sees past the tattoos and piercings. He sees her.

But they both have secrets capable of destroying their relationship. And if Taylor’s past ever catches up with her, the consequences could be deadly.

Due to explicit language, sexual content, and dark themes, reader discretion is advised.

Independent Reiewer for Archaeolibrarian – I Dig Good Books
**Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from Sparkle Book Tours in exchange for a fair and honest review**
Taylor is not your normal girl. She was an orphan at the age of four, after watching her mother be murdered. She was separated from her twin by her own doing to protect the ones she loved. Finally at 22 she feels she can start her own life and let her guard down. She wants to fall in love and do something she loves, make music in the band she joined. She just wants to be happy. What will happen when she finds love but everything in her life hangs in the balance? Can she overcome her dark past? Can she confront her demons?
This book was incredible! The story line was the type of story line that kept your eyes focused on the page, not wanting to look anywhere else. Several emotions were flowing through this book: happiness, sadness, anger, frustration, and love. The heroine of the book has had a rough life. She is a strong woman in this book though and it’s always fun to read about strong heroines!
The detail that was written into this book was perfect. It was easy to visualize the different scenes, bad and good, and to visualize the different characters. There was enough detail that you maybe wished you didn’t picture certain parts. That is a great written book in my opinion though. I couldn’t have asked for anything better on the detail part.
My only complaint was the suspense factor of this book. I was hoping it was going to start at the beginning and end with the last page. Unfortunately, the suspense really didn’t pick up until about 50-60% through the story and through the rest of the story. The author did a great job writing the suspense part of the story and it kept you on the edge of your seat and threw curve balls at you. I just wish it would have started sooner.
I would absolutely recommend this book. I do look forward to reading the next book in the series. This author writes a great book and definitely is one to follow!

An original story and something different from the typical romance storyline and plot setup. I found it unpredictable and engaging and it kept me hooked to the very end! I loved it and will be reading it again.

It starts off with Taylor who is down on her luck and to boot it all she’s also in a relationship with a loser. It doesn’t do her self-esteem any good but she’s a trier and is really trying hard to get her life together. But life is hard.

Then steps in the handsome and cute boy-next-door hero Ethan. Kelly Lincoln writes this type very well, so well he becomes real and jumps off the page.
Ethan is everything most girls would wish for in a boy-friend. He’s a regular guy with a regular-hero-type job. The kind you’d want around in an emgerency plus with eye-candy looks.

So he’s cute, handsome, nice body, well endowed (hence the book comes with a warning about its deliciously sexy love scenes - just a word to say its worth buying just for those however) and hot lover. Yes all these attributes rolled into a regular boy-next-door hero.

Things start looking up for Taylor and I'm glad she's getting a break thinking nothing else can go wrong. Romance - she has nice man, things are going well, but Kelly Lincoln decides it's roller coaster time and spins a gripping yarn full of suspense.

So without giving it all away, it worth reading. I enjoyable and was satisfied at the end - a must for me :D. So now waiting for the next in the series.

**TARA'S 2.5 STAR REVIEW**

I wanted to like this book, I really did. So much so that I looked past the difficulties in the beginning and didn't give up. The storyline was a great plot, but unfortunately the execution fell short for me. The last 20% of the book was a big disappointment to me. I was not a fan of how the book felt like it just ended. There was a slow build up throughout the book and them bam it was done. I wanted more, more detail, more story, more complete plot lines, more information!!!

When the build up between two characters is drawn out, I expect an equally long other half of their story. The ending was rushed and incomplete for me. I was left with more questions than answers.

There were a few things I did like, the plot of the story was an excellent idea, the mystery aspect was great, and the sex scenes were well written.

I loved this book. Loved, loved, loved it! It's so different from any romance I've ever read, and I've read a LOT! I couldn't put the thing down.

Taylor is a member of the band "Goldenrod", along with a whole group of characters I fell in-love with (Including AJ, who's story is coming next). She's a woman who's been through way too much in her short life. She's afraid to trust, afraid to love and depend on others (and has a good reason for it.) She also doesn't realize she's good enough to be loved by Ethan.

Ethan is a geeky parametric, who's a bit mysterious, sweet, and always says the perfect things.

I don't want to give away story, but this book had my heart in my throat, brought me to tears, twisted my stomach, and was just so so good. I can't believe this was a debut novel.

"There was lightning inside of me, centering in the pit of my stomach, and my body was the water it struck. Everything was electric."

Insignificant is the debut novel by Author Kelly Lincoln. I am so proud to have had the opportunity to read and review this book.

"Chicks with boobs get ahead in life."

Taylor is a young woman who looks tough as nails on the outside. But, inside she is soft and open, begging for someone or something to fill the empty space. Her past relationships are filled with losers, current one included. Unfortunately, she’s not yet ready to let go of her insecurities and allow hope to save the day.

"There was an energy pouring from him and flowing into my soul, pumping into my heart."

Ethan is what would appear to be the exact opposite of Taylor. He has direction in his life and determination to be successful. But, when we begin seeing the two of them together in more scenes, we can tell that these opposites are going to create such an attraction. They are from two different lifestyles. But are drawn together by a force that is greater than these boundaries.

"I need to feel more. Because that was the best thing ever."

I love to finish a book and immediately be able to articulate my feel words. Those words for Insignificant were hot, sweet, and sexy. It was a redeeming romance filled with hope and transformation. Told from first person point of view through Taylor, I was able to experience every scene through her eyes and came to know the complexities of her and the other characters in the story. One of my favorite things about Ethan was his glasses. When I read about them, I initially pictured a hot Clark Kent, who came to swoop in and save the day. Of course, I also admired that he was a strong male character with conviction about his wants and needs. The initial part of Insignificant seemed to start off a little slow for me. But, about 20 percent into the book it took off and didn’t stop. There were points of intrigue, fright, mystery and twists. The plot built continuously throughout the story, and landed with an ending that was pure delight. I wait, with great anticipation for next book in this series.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Taylor and Ethan’s story. Taylor is stuck. She is in a relationship is a loser and she has had a tough life. Ethan is the boy next store type. The sparks fly for these two and just when you think everything is coming together for them throw in the curve ball. Will all the twists and turns of the relationship and their lives ruin any chance they have of being together? Or can they overcome all the crazy and come out of everything together?

I loved these characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Crazy? Absolutely! Could I read it again? Definitely! I won this book and as soon as the opportunity was available I grabbed it and read. I've been having a little difficulty picking a book and staying with it. This one? No problem at all! I wasn't far into the first page when I started needing to know what happened next. The twists and turns really got me! I wasn't sure about what happened until it was time to find out. Not even little clues could have helped out because once you find out it is so much more than you could have imagined.

Taylor is running away from something in her past but she’s finally settled down somewhere she actually likes. She has friends, is in a band and then Ethan comes along and she has the job as well. But Ethan isn’t just someone who got her a job, he’s someone Taylor could really fall for. But will she risk not only his life but her friends as well, by becoming too attached?

What a thrilling, exciting and unexpected roller coaster of a book that has been one of my favourite reads this year! We have so many twists, so many brilliant characters, romance and drama, with a thrilling plot line that seriously will keep you guessing the whole way through.

“I wasn’t the kind of girl who guys fell in love with. I was the one they fucked in the back room at a bar, or called in the middle of the night when they were drunk and horny. Nothing more. I just had to deal with it.”

Taylor was an amazing character. Her strength, courage and selflessness are so easily admirable. The way she continues to laugh about life and care for her friends means you not only want her to be happy but you wish you could be friends with as well.

“He was eye fucking me. I did it sometimes when I was on stage as an I see you and only you right now kind of thing. But this was more than that. He wasn’t just looking; he was penetrating. There was an energy pouring from him and flowing into my soul, pumping into my heart.”

Ethan was one of my favourite book boyfriends ever!! He is so sexy but cute. I loved his shyness and how he still made it sexy and mysterious. He was still protective and strong at the same time as well which all added up to the one of the best book boyfriends I have ever read about.

“He laced our fingers together as his lips brushed against mine, soft and gentle. No tongue or anything. The kiss was pure Ethan—a little shy and a fuckload sexy.”

The plot was absolutely fascinating. Completely unexpected, you have no idea where it’s going, whether you are reading a romance, a suspense, a thriller; it really keeps you guessing. I laughed, I cried, I was kept on the edge of my seat gasping and yelling at my kindle; never knowing which way the story was going to go.

“All of these years, I felt so cheap because I was never more than someone to fuck, and the very second someone made me feel like I was worth something, I had to fucking blow it. That was me. Ruining everything. On purpose or not, it didn’t matter.”

A really fantastic read that I couldn’t put down and would recommend to readers of nearly all genres. Pick this one up today and I promise you won’t regret it.

“I love you. I love you for showing me how beautiful the world is, for letting me in and showing me how beautiful you are, for making me feel like I am special because of the way you look at me.”

Get ready for one hell of a ride!

Insignificant is that wonderful mix of funny, sweet, sexy and suspenseful. Kelly Lynch keeps her readers on their toes with the characters she created. She did a great job at building the relationship of Taylor and Ethan before it all goes to hell in a hand basket.

"Ever since I was eight and realized I was a threat to anyone I loved, I made it a point to not stay in one place too long. You never knew who would come find you and f#ck everything up." ~ Taylor

That is the mindset of Taylor Green. Not looking for anything or anyone. She is young, but has lived with a lifetime of tragedy and wants to finally put it behind her. She's been in town for over six months and can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Taylor is in a band, Goldenrod, with AJ, Jason and Ben. They are all good friends, however AJ looks out for Taylor a little more than the rest of the guys.

During an out of the ordinary rescue, Taylor meets Ethan, who is everything she isn't looking for, and makes Taylor realize she just may be a closet sapiosexual (loved this!). Sure Ethan is handsome, but in the "sexy nerdy glasses" way. Not in the "treat you like crap" way Taylor is use to. Ethan is just as smitten with Taylor and can't believe a chick like her would give him the time of day.

"...ever since I looked at you, my world turned. Except you didn't turn it upside down. You made it right." ~ Ethan

Awww so sweet and laugh out loud at more parts than not. While you want nothing but the best for this special couple however, they are both carrying something dark inside. I cringed with every turn of the page waiting to see what each of them revealed and if they would make it. The book is well written and laugh out loud funny in some parts. While thrown by a bit of the story line, I thought Kelly Lincoln did a great job developing her characters and left plenty of room for the series to continue. I am definitely interested in seeing what becomes of Taylor and Ethan, as well as the rest of the guys.

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. *

This is my first time reading author Kelly Lincoln, but it will not be my last!! She writes an intense, edge of your seat read that leaves the reader frantically turning the pages of the book to see what could possibly happen next! There is no way to predict what the author has in store for the characters and the way in which she spins the tale will leave you panting for more! Just when you think you have it figured out, another twist is thrown in and the journey just spirals out of control!

The characters are well developed, mysterious and instantly relatable. They are not rich, nor are they into weird sexual things, but they are characters that you want to spend time with. This is not your typical romance, yet there is plenty of romance to go around. The author adds in a touch of mystery, a bit of gore and just not enough pages for the reader to continue their journey! The reader will think about the story and the characters long after they have finished reading this book. It is a book that the reader will finish and then want to instantly pick back up and re-read it. This book can be read multiple times and the reader will still pick up on something that they may have missed the first time that they read it, especially because they read it at a breakneck pace to see what was going to happen next.

This book reads reminds the reader of a book that was written by an author who has been writing for years and years - the author has such talent and she weaves a tale that draws the readers in. I am looking forward to reading much more from this talented author and can't wait to see her name on the bestsellers lists, as she belongs there among the greats! This is an amazing book and it needs to be added to the top of your TBR list! Don't miss out on this amazing author or book - get this book and get it fast!

Taylor and Ethan SWOON !! I loved them so much. Not a typical love story at all. So many pieces to this book were refreshing and new. I couldn't get enough of these two together and that is just a piece of the story !!

Taylor's backstory is heartbreaking. Orphaned at age 4 , stalked by an unknown guy for years and sadly then separated from her twin. There is so much more to that and wow the way it all played out is just so worth the read. Yet we get even more. Taylor is now 22 and in a band for the past 6 months. She has spent years moving around , never staying in one place too long. Now without a job she is questioning the ability to stay here, but she loves the guys in the band and when a job opportunity falls into her lap thanks to the hot EMT with glasses Taylor finally feels content. She ditches the useless Nathan and makes a friend at the hotel where she will be a lifeguard !! I love the guys in the band , they are funny , typical and also very caring and I did feel a connection with them and kind of want more from them all !! Especially AJ , his connecting piece to this story was insane !! Luckily for Taylor she keeps having run ins with Ethan. He is so sweet and innocent acting. They may seem like opposites but they have a great chemistry and it all falls into place so easily. This is a standout story to me. I have yet to read a story with all the same components. Sometimes you get the same names or jobs or places they live. This was refreshing to me because so many of those things were different. Ethan has a story as well and it is heartbreaking. The way Taylor deals with him is just amazing and it brought tears to my eyes. You really felt their connection and love. When the past and present collide all heck breaks lose. It gets crazy and I was on the edge of my seat with worry. Hang on tight and enjoy the ride.

REVIEWED FOR SERAPHIM BOOK REVIEWS

This is one of the most unique books I've read in a while, in the best possible way!

Taylor has a past and her past is her secret. A secret she has hidden in order to build her life. And what a life she's built, she's now in a band called Goldenrod (hence the series title) and with a few changes to her life she can be ready to be happy.
Enter Ethan, the epitomy of geek chic! He has thins uncanny knack of looking right through Taylor's well practised shield and seeing what's actually there.

"Goldenrod? Sounds like a vibrator. Or a superhero. Like a superhero with this massive magical dick and he solves crimes and brings world peace with it. Goldenrod."

I won't give away the story, but it's harsh. Poor Taylor has been through the mill. A lot! She's still going through it!
And It does come with a sexy warning so yano, its okay to mention, it has sex. Hot, sexy, steamy, damn 'I wish I was that girl right now' sex. They say its the quiet ones you've gotta look out for.

But it's not all sex, it is story and its plot. Its got a band, but it's not a rockstar romance. It's loaded with suspense but it's not a thriller. Its crazy sexy, but not in an overly erotic kind of way. It's sweet and funny without hurting your teeth. It's a lot, but it's really good.

"I'm going to wait. I'll wait until you're twenty, just like her. And then I'm coming back."
Its original!

Kelly Lincoln has delivered characters who make me want to read on. At no point was this a chore to read. It was inventive and creative and very refreshing.

I must admit as I started reading this book, I thought it was going to be a rock star book but I was so far off from that. This book is so much more than that. It’s about accepting yourself and moving on from the past. It also teaches you who to trust. Who you might think is your best friend may have a deep dark secret that could cost you your life. This book was definitely a thrill ride. Taylor, after having a traumatic childhood, which led to her in and out of foster care is determined to change her life. She has finally found a place with a bunch of friends who accept her and treat her like family. She has recently been let go from her job and needs something quick. The band isn’t make much money. Her luck starts to change after saving a little boy from drowning. Fate steps in and gives her Ethan, a gorgeous and sweetheart of a man, who just happens to be an EMT. He gives her a job and things start to fall into place. Ethan is hiding a huge secret from her but when he tells her what it is, it only makes her love him more. This book has so many sweet moments, most are from Ethan and Taylor but there’s a few with her bandmates as well. As I was saying, careful who you trust… It’s so true with this book. Crazy comes back to haunt her and almost ends her life. I’m not saying anymore cause you really need to read yourself. I really did love reading this book and Man did I love Ethan. It’s always nice reading about a sweetheart of a guy instead of bad ass alpha man all the time.

Taylor has recently moved to Silver Falls to escape her past and settle down but she is always cautious that her past may be back to haunt her. When finding a job is almost looking impossible Taylor meets sexy paramedic Ethan and then things start to look up. Taylor's band start booking more gigs, she gets a job as a lifeguard at a new hotel and she just can't stop thinking about Ethan.

I don't want to say too much more about the plot of this book as it risks spoilers and trust me you don't want to be spoiled. This was my first Kelly Lincoln book and I can't wait to read her others. The pacing was perfect, the romance wasn't 'instalove' it built at a steady pace and when it climaxed WOW WAS IT HOT!!

The second book in this series is due for release this year and I cannot wait to get my hands on it to dive back into this story. The supporting characters were really great and I didn't dislike anyone at all which is what made the twist even more shocking and out of nowhere but in a good way.

This book was a great length and I devoured it in one sitting. If you like your books to have a bit of everything, romance, sex and mystery this one is definitely for you. I would recommend this book in a heart beat to anyone.

I received this arc for free from the author in return for an honest review.

This was a absolutely great read. In the beginning the storyline seemed like something that I have read before. Troubled, insecure woman running from her past. However as the story went on I quickly realized that this novel was unique and unpredictable.

Kelly Lincoln does a great job of building up to the climax. You get to know the characters. Get to see them fall in love. You feel the connection between Taylor and Ethan; As well as witness both of their insecurities and their complete acceptance for each other.

As Taylor's and Ethan's relationship grows, weird things start to happen. Truths are revealed. Trust is tested and friendships are affected.

I have never read a romantic suspense like this one. It's a slow build that suddenly strikes out and grabs you in the best way possible. There were times when I asked myself "What is HAPPENING right now?!"

The last few chapters literally had me on the edge of my seat. Questions were answered that I didn't even know to ask. This is an breathtaking debut novel that is impressively written.

REVIEW
I received a ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.
4.5* read.
This was a book that completely took me by surprise and was so original and different to your typical romance book that I loved it that much more. Full of different emotions that has you gripped throughout you will not want to put this book down till you've finished every last page.
What I loved was how unlike other romance books out their this book was. The male lead wasn't your typical hero, Ethan was the sexy geek who had you fallen in love with him straight away. Usually I prefer the alpha bad boy with lots of tattoos and attitude, but Ethan showed me that other side to a book boyfriend. Taylor has been through a lot and her story is heartbreaking and really tugs on your emotions. When their past and present collides your left on the edge of your seat wondering what's going to happen next. So many twists and turns but what shines through is the chemistry and relationship between these two and I was able to really connect with both characters and I really enjoyed the whole story.
A unique story full of emotions and twists and turns that keep you gripped throughout. I can't wait for more.

Loved this book!!! From the start I was sucked into this story and didn't want to stop reading. Taylor is a tough on the outside, vulnerable on the inside character with a story that will haunt you and break your heart. As a reader I wanted to watch her grow and find happiness, which is what happens when she gets a promising job and many areas of her life start to improve. Within that journey she meets Ethan, who is one of my favorite male characters I've read in a long time. He's caring and develops this great friendship with her, becoming the rock she needs as she copes with danger that threatens everything she's rebuilt. And did I mention he's hot?!!! Besides that, Ethan is carrying his own insecurities and challenges, which made me root for them all the more to find their way to each other. This book is filled with lots of surprises and deep emotions which left me wanting more. I appreciate Kelly Lincoln's easy and smart style that makes her book so easy to slip into.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Taylor’s story is a pretty unique one. She’s running from something terrible in her past. You are told a little bit throughout the story what it is she’s running from, but once her entire past is revealed all you’re going to be able to say is, “WOW”!

I liked the character’s in the book. Ethan was sweet and the kind of guy Taylor needed after the tool she was with in the start of the book. The nerdy, sexy paramedic was a nice change of pace; not every guy can be a perfect, Greek god. Nerds need love too. I also liked Taylor’s friends. Their interactions were funny and added something extra to the story. I think they are very real and relatable.

This story does have a twist; which makes for all the better read. Spoiler’s are no fun so you need to read it to figure out what it is! I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend the read.

Insignificant is a debut novel by Kelly Lincoln and she has given us
something different.

Taylor is part of a band and has a past she is trying to keep hidden. After
losing her job and facing the possibility she runs into paramedic Ethan who
recommends her for a job at the new hotel that's opening.

These to quickly form a fast relationship (and I mean fast, we had I love
you's rather quick) and Taylor opens up to him about a past she has kept
hidden. That past was quite twisted and opened up and twist I didn't see
coming.

Ethan was the sweet soul, kind, caring and hard not to feel for him when he
shared his secret.

Though I didt enjoy this book, I found some bits abit odd, I struggled with
the ending. Though it does lead to the next book, I felt we were left
unfinished on the story of Taylor and Ethan as the next book is on another
member of the band.

A Really Great, Different (in an awesome way), Romance
I am so happy to have discovered this author, as soon as I read the synopsis for this book I was in. I am a total sucker for a sexy nerdy guy. This book is all that it promised and more. It has romance, and suspense, laughs, and mystery, heartache, and super sexiness. I love sweet Ethan and Taylor, and really all of the band members, they are such great characters. I can't wait to get to know them better. I was totally sucked into the story right from the start and just binge read it straight through. It is a total roller coaster ride, emotionally and all throughout the exciting plot, there are twists and things that are so unexpected. It is a heck of a ride. I can not wait for the next installment. I will definitely be following this author. I was generously provided a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.

Let me start by saying I effing loved this book!!! It's one of those books that sneaks up and bites you in the ass in an oh so good way. It's totally different to your normal romantic suspense. It has all the elements you need in a romance (and those sexy times are off the charts hot) but it's dark, and not in the usual manner I'm so used to seeing in romance these days. It's VERY different and gripping and oh so good! It builds into something you can't quite believe you're reading. It makes you squirm in both the good and bad ways and I can't tell you how refreshing and unique that is.

Ms Lincoln's Characters are real and could be anyone, you, me or the boy down the road and they jump of the page and sew themselves into your hearts. Kudos to the author. This book kicks fucking ass!

Taylor is an insecure woman running from the demons of her past. I fell in love with her and ached for her insecurities and her pain. Enter Ethan, the calm quiet hunk of a man, who falls in love with her. He has his own insecurities and I think that's what I loved about these two characters. They weren't perfect. Kelly Lincoln did an excellent job of developing Taylor and Ethan. She did an excellent job of weaving suspense into the story and I found myself holding my breath until the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

The story was provided to me by the author for an honest critique/review.

Totally not what I was expecting! Awesome book, fantastic page turning read. This really had everything. A great romance story, a mystery, suspense, I couldn't put it down. Loved Taylor's character and Ethan is so adorable. The author did a great job keeping the bad guy off your radar until the perfect time. Totally didn't see it coming! I can't wait to see more of this groups stories. Looking forward to reading AJ's story!

This was the first "erotica" novel I've ever read so I went in with extremely low expectations. But I'm pleasantly surprised! The plot was actually really good and the sex scenes were kind of just worked into it.
My only reason for giving it a 4 star was because it was farfetched; how exactly are they tracking this chick who has legally changed her name and moved a million times? BUT it was still a good read. And I would definitely read the next book in the Goldenrod series.
