Lawless Rivals: A Dark Irish Mafia vs Irish Mob Romance

Rate this book
A dark Irish mafia romance with a ruthless mob boss who kisses the mafia princess before snatching her as leverage. She's supposed to be his captive. Instead, she ends up at his place, where fighting the attraction becomes harder every day. Expect banter, aching tension, one bed and scorching heat.

She kissed me before she knew my name.

I kidnapped her after she learned it.

They call me Saint. Not because I’m holy. Because I always walk away clean.

The Tallon empire runs through my blood. My da died on our land, and the Harringtons have been walking on his grave ever since.

They thought their respectable crime dynasty made their daughter untouchable.

They were wrong.

I walked into their gala with one plan. Keira Harrington just didn’t know she was it.

She smiled like a mafia princess built to bring men to their knees, and I was never meant to be one of them. She’d been in Paris long enough to forget my face, so I kissed her before she could remember who I was.

That was my first mistake.

Now she’s locked in my hayloft as leverage.

All I had to do was get the land back. Return the girl. Walk away clean.

Same as always.

But Keira doesn’t beg, break, or behave.

She fights me. Pushes me. Looks at me like she fears what I’ll do next and hates herself for wanting to know.

Our ma raised us to despise everything the Harringtons are.

And me?

I can’t stop thinking about her mouth.

Can’t stop watching her test the limits of my restraint.

Can’t stop wondering who’ll hate me more when I finally stop holding back.

Keira was supposed to be the ransom for everything her family stole.

I never planned on needing to keep her instead.

Lawless Rivals is book one and part of the Irish Mafia Dynasty. A dark Irish mafia versus Irish Mob romance featuring kidnapping, forced proximity, rival crime families, possessive tension, enemies-to-lovers heat, and a dangerous antihero. A ruthless Irish mafia boss kidnaps a mob princess for leverage, but their forced proximity ignites dangerous attraction neither can resist.
This is Keira and Saint story which is told from a dual point of view. An unputdownable and absorbing addictive. A total page turner, the perfect mix of interesting characters, personal drama, loads of foul play and hidden agendas and secrets and a princess who stole the show. The connection and chemistry is so strong and well. I love these two. A kidnapping. A deadly rivalry. A passion that burns hotter than revenge.

The story follows the two rival family the Tallon and the Harrington. Saint Tallon is out for revenge against the Harrington family who took away his family's empire after the death of his da. The Tallon' and the Harrington are feuding over a stretch of land that runs to the river. The Harrington stole their land and Saint and his brother would do anything to get it back. The two formulate a plan to kidnap the Harrington princess as leverage in order to get back their land. They were a gala at the Cork's prestigious Ardglass Stud Saint. Mafia princess Keira Harrington was away in France and found out that her boyfriend now ex had been cheating they were arguing whe a stranger came up to her kissed her. He kissed her before she knew his name, and being that she had been away for a long time he doubt that she would remember his face. He kidnapped Keira throwing a sack over her head with her hands bound then made his escape in his SVU. She's now at his hayloft as his leverage. Saint couldn't believe how she had matured with curves all over. The Harrington thought that their respectable crime Dynasty made their daughter untouchable but they were wrong.
When Saint kidnapped Keira all hell broke loose between these two families. Keira is tired of the Harrington and Tallon feud and refuse to be a pawn in their war. She refuse to be a victim and gave Saint a run for his money refusing to lie down without a fight. She wasn't a wallflower and a hapless mafia princess. She refuses to do what is demand of her which makes captor-captive relationship entertaining and funny and Saint didn't have a choice but to broke his rough demeanor. Saint is calculated, cold-hearted, control, vicious and ruthless and he's definitely not a Saint as his name implies. They call him Saint not because he's holy. But because he always walk away clean. Saint made a grave when he kissed Keira to distract but everything change when their lips meet. All he had to do was to get back their land. Return Keira and walk away clean.
But Keira was more than he bargain for because she doesn't beg, break or behave. She fights him, pushes him and looked at him like she fears what he will do next and hates herself for wanting to know. Saint can't thinking about her mouth, can't stop watching her test the limits of his restraint. Can't stop wondering who'll hate him more when he finally stop holding back. She was supposed to be the ransom for everything her stole. He never planned on needing to keep her instead. He took her for leverage but it soon turned into something far more dangerous that could potentially cause a rift between his family where he must choose family or love. Their chemistry is electrifying, magnetic, sizzling and scorching hot. An unexpected turn of events that no one expected. It started out with hate and animosity but quickly turned into something else. They were both thought by their parents to hate each other since they were children. But she managed to unravel his carefully crafted control and rational mind. The author draws you into the story where these two people feels the burden of their family name. It's palpable on both side. And Keira and Saint came to understand each other and realized that they're no different from each other after all in the grand scheme of things.
Lawless Rivals is a dark, steamy Irish mafia romance with enemies-to-lovers tension, forced proximity, rival crime families, a possessive anti-hero, a fierce heroine, and enough sinful chemistry to make leverage feels like temptation. It's just a deliciously dangerous sinful romance. A story of enemies, rivalry, revenge, resilience, violence, betrayal, backstabbing, obsession, loss, grief, power play, consensual intense rough sex, captivity, tension, angst, anger, dominance, darkness, madness, protectiveness, power struggle, acceptance, family dynamics, love, spice and so much more. Will the Harrington and the Tallon resolve their century issues? Will Keira and Saint get their HEA? Will Harrington family accepts Keira and Saint relationship?

“Lawless Rivals” is the first book in the “Irish Mafia Dynasty” series. This is a dark Irish mafia versus Irish Mob romance featuring kidnapping, forced proximity, rival crime families, possessive tension, enemies-to-lovers heat, and a dangerous antihero. There is cheating, no cliffhangers - just a deliciously sinful happily ever after.

The Tallon’s and the Harrington’s are neighbours across the Black Heath, with no love lost between either family. The feud is over a stretch of land between them that runs to the river. When Ciarán, aka Saint, Tallon was fifteen, his father’s body turned up there and no reason was given that made sense. Saint’s only goal is get the land back stolen by the Harringtons. The Harringtons are old-blood horse breeders and mafia royalty. They were born with ancestral wealth and staff to wipe muck from their Parlanti riding boots. The Tallons built their legacy with grit and muscle, and jobs that don’t leave clean hands.

Saint and his brothers decide to kidnap Keira Harrington at an event at Cork’s prestigious Ardglass Stud. They will only send her back when the parcel of land in question is signed back to their family. Movement catches his eye….”Keira Harrington. Christ. Tonight she’s all curves and elegance. Chestnut hair hangs loose around milky white shoulders, and that slinky dress of hers clings to curves like it’s liquid gold.”

Next thing, Kiera is in the back of an SUV with a burlap sack over her head and her wrists tied together. “Paris made me believe in romance. Whereas Black Heath has always taught me the harsh truth.”

Despite being so naive, the warmth of Saint’s mouth lingers on her lips like smoke after a blaze. Kiera curse’s herself for having enjoyed the heat. She kissed him back out of desire. Now she is their prisoner….in the hay loft. The second a severe storm hits an Tallon takes her back to his cabin….he is in so much trouble! “Those enchanting eyes of hers are the exact color of the Irish Sea when the sun rises and the tide laps on the shore.” Slowly lines begin to blur, to merge into one….

The story is very fast paced and full of twists and turns! You have danger, betrayal, love, tears, death, power, action and passion. The heat between Saint and Keira is off the page. There is never a dull moment! The chemistry between these two is off the page! Prepare for a story full of twists, turns around every corner, forbidden love, loyalty and betrayal, power and control and sizzling heat. This is a story you won't be able to put down - you will be totally hooked! The story is very fast paced and full of twists and turns! You have danger, betrayal, love, tears, death, power, action and passion. These two will definitely keep you on your toes….

“….his mouth is on mine before my next breath. I whimper when his fingertips press into my jaw and his stubble brushes over my chin. My hands fist into his jacket, pulling him closer instead of pushing him away, the heat of his body burning straight through the cold. There’s no desire to argue, only a fiery ache for what he’s offering. The need for his hands on my skin again and the hunger for something I know has already ruined me. Instead, I focus on the pressure of his mouth, the way he takes control with a demanding pace, and I match it with the same energy.”

Autumn has excelled with the first book in the series! Being a Mafia Romance story, it is dark in places, violent at times, passionate in places, full of secrets, loyalties tested and let’s not forget the heat between them. You will fall in love with Saint and Keira, hoping that everything with work out for them, hoping they have a future together. A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

Lawless Rivals by Autumn Archer — ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Saint and Keira’s story is exactly the kind of dark mafia romance that pulls you in with the promise of enemies, revenge, obsession, and a romance neither of them ever saw coming.

Saint has one goal: reclaim the land that the Harrington family took from his family. When he walks into their gala, he already knows what he wants to do and Keira is supposed to be nothing more than leverage. After all, she is a Harrington, the daughter of the family he was raised to hate. He kidnaps her, planning to use her as ransom and return her once he gets what he wants.

Except Keira is nothing like he expected.

She doesn’t beg. She doesn’t break. And she definitely doesn’t behave the way Saint expects his hostage to behave. Instead, she challenges him at every turn, pushes his patience, and refuses to let him intimidate her. Their dynamic quickly becomes one of the most entertaining parts of the story because the more Saint tries to keep control, the more Keira manages to get under his skin.

What I loved most was the tension between them. They are supposed to be enemies, raised to hate everything the other family represents, yet the attraction between them becomes impossible to ignore. Saint never intended to keep Keira, but somewhere along the way, she stops being a bargaining chip and becomes the one person he can’t seem to walk away from.

And Keira? I loved how strong she was throughout the story. Even in a situation where she should have been completely powerless, she never lost her personality or her ability to stand up for herself. She wasn’t simply the kidnapped mafia princess waiting to be rescued she fought back, questioned Saint, and made him work for every inch of trust.

The ending definitely left me wanting more. I loved that, against all odds, Keira chooses to stay, and now I’m genuinely invested in seeing where their story goes. I just hope the next book gives them the chance to overcome everything standing between them and finally have the ending they deserve.

Overall, this was a fun, addictive mafia romance with plenty of tension, family drama, revenge, and a romance that sneaks up on both characters.

4 stars!

This is Keira and Saint’s story. Saint kidnaps Keira as leverage to blackmail her father to sign off on land that he wants. The forced proximity allows them to fall for each other and how they overcome the odds to be united is the story.

Saint was a work in progress. He met her once, kidnapped her and then just couldn’t stop thinking about her. His siblings hated Keira and were not afraid to show it. It was however very nice of Saint to stand up for her. Her fell for her hard even though he convinced himself he wasn’t. The scenes where he thought of her after she left were heart wrenching.

Keira was shown to be a headstrong woman who tried to escape her captor more than once. Though she fell in love too fast it was nice to read about the confusion and inner turmoil she went through when she realised she loved Saint. It was so nice to read about her finally standing up against her father and how she would never be a priority for him. Glad to see her have Fionn’s support even though it wasn’t open and complete. She also stood her ground against Saint’s family very gracefully.

I loved the banter between the siblings both on Saint’s side and Keira’s. It was refreshing to read how Rafe was against their relationship and had his reasons for being so. It would be nice to read his happy ever after as well. Dane and Sera were well etched out also. Fionn is a mystery and I am very interested in Fionn and Sera’s story now.

Keira Harrington returned from France back to her family. Being a Harrington has never really bothered her. Not wanting the privilege and demands that come with the name. Being a pawn I her father's world never interested her. Instead she travels and tries to live her life her way. Now she's in a room on her own at a party arguing with her ex in France, whilst she's back in Ireland. Finding him cheating was the perfect reason to end things. Never did she expect a stranger to walk in and suddenly put his arms around her then kiss her and tell her ex she's moved on. But yes it happened and now hes asking me to leave with him. Saint Tallon wants that small piece of land back that the Harrington's stole from them. Now he's stood in front of Keira knowing she doesn't even know who he is. Perfect. Now he can kidnap her without causing a scene. Taking her will be the oerfect bargaining chip against her father. Give us back our land you get her back. This is my first time reading this author and it didn't disappoint. The chemistry between the main characters is obvious. Although they both deny it. The animosity between Saint's brothers and Keira is obvious from the beginning. Will his plan work. Can Keira ever do what he tells her too. This is a story that has you turning page after page. The rivalry, hostility, drama and spicy romance makes for compelling reading.

I received this book as an ARC and had so much fun reading this one! I’ll preface by saying that Mafia Romances are one of my favorite tropes and especially when you mix in star crossed enemies to lovers.

The Tallons and Harrington’s have a long standing feud over a crucial piece of land. So of course, the best way to settle this is for our MMC to kidnap our FMC and force her family’s hand in turning over the land. This created a background for a lot of action packed and spice packed scenes (wink, wink).

I loved getting to know Saint and Keira through this story. Watching both of them battle internally with their feelings and finally realizing their undeniable chemistry was so much fun. But of course, they weren’t going to get there easily. Watching Keira especially, give Saint a hard time made for really fun banter. The push and pull of this relationship made for some great romance scenes.

I also loved the Tallon family characters. Sera was giving me Jenny Fraser vibes and I was totally here for it. Ma Tallon was not taking any crap from anyone and I love her.

This was my first Autumn Archer book but I’m excited to dive into book 2.

Lawless Rivals is just the type of book that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Between the covers is a story filled with angst, kidnapping, steam, possessiveness, two people who hate one another but the forced proximity sees those feelings change and an alpha male who will eventually own your heart.
Two rival families, unanswered questions, and a piece of land that is just one reason for the rivalry. When you have the Irish Mafia and the Irish Mob, you know the story is going to be dark and dangerous. The Harrington family and the Tallon family have wanted one another's throats to slash. When Saint kidnaps Keira Harrington, all hell breaks out but it is within his own family first. Having Keira under his roof sees Saint's tough armour and arrogance slip just a bit. Keira hates Saint but there was something about his cockiness and arrogance that pulls her towards him. When they get together, they set the pages on fire.
From beginning to end, this story sees families almost go to war, betrayal by a family and two people who shouldn't be together but could not care about the rivalry.

Lawless Rivals is packed with everything I want in a dark mafia romance—rival families, kidnapping, enemies-to-lovers tension, possessiveness, and a seriously dangerous antihero. Saint and Keira have some intense chemistry, especially considering she starts out as leverage in his war against the Harrington family.

I really liked that Keira wasn't some helpless heroine. She fights Saint every step of the way and refuses to simply do what she's told, which made their push-and-pull so much more entertaining. Saint is ruthless, possessive, and definitely not the good guy, but watching his feelings for Keira start to complicate his plans was one of my favorite parts.

The rivalry between the Tallons and Harringtons adds plenty of danger and keeps the story moving. There are secrets, family grudges, and enough tension to keep me turning the pages.

Overall, this was a fun, dark, spicy mafia romance with plenty of drama and chemistry. If you like kidnapped heroines, rival crime families, morally gray men, and enemies-to-lovers romance, definitely add this one to your TBR!

This is my first time reading this author. I am looking forward to reading more. Keira and Saint have undeniable chemistry from the moment they first meet. There is clearly a history between the families, and they are fighting against their familial loyalties and the pull of their hearts towards one another. Keira is done being a pawn in her father's game, and Saint refuses to be bound by someone else's rules. This story is a page turner from beginning to end. When this story ends, it barely scratches the surface of the secrets the families are keeping and unveils the truth behind the generational rivalry among them. It feels like Saint and Keira are only just embracing what it means to choose one another over the family feud. Can't wait for book two - to dive into the family feud, Keira and Saint's journey, and what we see brewing with another set of Tallon/Harringtons.

Lawless Rivals is the first story in the Irish Mafia Dynasty series. It is my first from this author. It is well-written and suspenseful.

Keira has returned home to her family. She comes from a wealthy family. She has caught her ex cheating on her. She is arguing with him on the phone when a stranger kisses her and says she is moving on. Saint wants the land his family had away from Keira's family. He has no idea that Keira is from the family that took it from him. He decides to kidnap her and use her as leverage against her father. What they don't expect is to have feelings for each other.

I loved how Keira was such a strong person. I loved the chemistry between her and Saint. It was an amazing story and I look forward to more.

This is my first time reading this author. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from Autumn Archer. Saint and Kiera have undeniable chemistry. It sizzles from the first time they interact. Both of them are loyal to the families but also connected to one another. Their push and pull chemistry with each other is what keeps ya reading this book. Saint likes control and Kiera wants the respect without her last name being a problem. The ending of this book is a cliffhanger, we just started learning about secrets between the two families. I can’t wait for the next book and hopefully dive deeper into them. I have a theory and I can’t wait to see if I’m wrong or right. Kiera and Saint are a strong united front and I’m dying to see how it plays out in the second book!

Really nice story. It gave me Romeo and Juliet kind of vibes with this old family rivalry, an enemies to lovers romance, turning into a touch her and die. I loved the yearning through the whole story. It did feel sometimes it dragged too much since the story mainly focus only on the interactions between the FMC and MMC (which made sense she he had her kidnapped). I loved the MMC's possessiveness all tangled up with his protective instinct. I did wish there was a little bit more plot, since it focus mainly on their dinamics and of course the spice. There were nice parts where there was a bit of action and some info drop that I feel we will see more of in the next book. Looking forward to more of the series.

I enjoyed the story of Keira and Saint I liked how even when Keira was kidnapped she never gave up she was always strong and fighting her freedom. Saint at first tried to hide his feeling for Keira but they both gave in even though all his family were against it. The piece of land that Saint wanted is intriguing and I can’t wait to find out what happened between the families way back to cause all this resentment. I’m also looking forward to see what happens between Sera (Saints sister) and Fionn (Keira’s brother).

Another hit by Autumn Archer.

The Tallons and Harringtons have been sworn enemies for generations.

Saint Tallon aka Ciaran has a plan to reclaim some land which the Harringtons have stolen from their family.

His plan involves kidnapping Keira Harrington, daughter of Alasdair Harrington.

The plan goes smoothly ie the kidnapping goes well.

Did Saint mean to fall in love with her? Don’t think so!!!’

The story is fast moving, passionate with a bit of spice thrown in.

Can’t wait for the next book.

A sixteen year old rival between the Tallons and the Harringtons over the Heath. What really happened on the Heath?
Ciara’s Tallon the Saint went to the gala for one purpose—to kidnap the Harrington princess.
Keira Harrington had just returned from Paris, after a breakup. One moment Keira was kissing a stranger then next a burlap drop over her head. She was taken to Black Heath Stud.
None of the Tallon want a Harrington on Black Heath Stud, but no one will go against Saint.
Saint saves Keira from everything-a storm, river, and shoots.
Will Saint choose Keira?
Will Keira choose Saint?
What really happened on the Heath?? Where a Tallon and a Harrington died.

I received an ARC copy of this from the author.

Read it as soon as you can.....it's brilliant!

I love an Irish man, so Irish mafia is right up my street.

This is Saint and Keira's story. Both are from rival mafia families.

I read this in 2 sittings. I've always been one to read a book and be able to see what's happening in my head. Autumn's writing style made it seem like I was there watching and listening to everything.

Can't wait for the next one in the series. However, I do seem to be suffering with a major book hangover. I think Saint will be in my head for a while.

Blood, Land & Lies. 2 mafia families warring families with generations of hate. A daughter used as leverage and merely a porn in her father’s game but he didn’t bank on her falling in love with the head of his rival mafia. Keira & Saint become obsessed with each and no family rivalry can split them apart.
This is the first book I’ve read by Autumn & I loved it. I can’t wait to read the concluding book of this series.

I tore through and devoured the first installment of the Irish Mafia Dynasty. Hot, tattooed Irish MMC, Saint? Check. FMC, Keira, that takes no shit and is a thorn in his side from day one? Check. Searing sexual tension? Triple check.

The pacing and tension in the plot were excellently balanced, punctuated by spicy moments that me biting my lip 🥵🔥. The dynamics between rival families is messy and toxic as hell, and sets up even more fun after setting up a happy ending the main characters may just need to fight for in future installments.

Thank you to author for advanced reader copy

Lawless Rivals is book 1 in the Irish Mafia Dynasty. It Saint and Keira's intense, gritty, dramatic, dark read and it's absolutely fantastic! It's an "Irish Mafia vs Irish Mob" story and come on, who doesn't love a good Irish Mafia/Mob read. I can just hear that accent as I read. These characters families despised each other which makes this journey even better being a forbidden love story. Lawless Rivals is most definitely a must read story! Can't wait for book 2!

A dark mafia romance that has everything you could want and more. Captivating and strong MCs, tension, obsession, revenge and plenty of heat. There’s more to come with these characters and can’t wait for it. Saint and Keira were an interesting couple. They have really good chemistry. I liked the way they were drawn to each other despite their families being enemies. I thought the storyline was intriguing and liked how it set up the series. I have some theories and I'm curious to see if I'm right. It was a good read and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

😊🖤🔥 LAWLESS RIVALS by Autumn Archer was do good!

There's instant chemistry, a lil kidnapping, forced proximity, toxic family members, secrets and generations of rivals, plus lots of spice.

I can't wait for book 2, where the MMC's sister meets her match in her 'brother-in-law'.

Absolutely Fantastic!

Lawless Rivals is the first book in the Irish Mafia Dynasty series by Autumn Archer. The book description had me from the start and then the book was fantastic. This is another winner from Autumn Archer and I am really looking forward to continuing with this series to see where the author takes the reader.

Oh yeah baby! Kiera is a mafia princess kidnapped by Saint, a man set on righting past wrongs by getting his family land back. There is rival neighbouring families, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, sizzling chemistry and plenty more. Hot, steamy, dramatic at times, what else do you want! Loved it!!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and glad I read it. The back and forth between the characters early on was a bit rough and hard to follow the moods/conversations, but the storyline improved as the book progressed and I enjoyed the second half better than the first.

The Land
Saint took Keira to get the land his da died on. The land that means everything. But does it, really? Because Keira has gotten under his skin. She’s more than a bargaining piece, she’s his. And he won’t let her go.
