Not as smutty as I expected.
The whole step genre is a bit of a mystery to me. I thought to try this and get an idea of what I was missing. It is a nice little story with mixed POV, rather jumpy so stay on your toes. No clear transition from one voice to the next. The characters were ok, nothing too far from the typical romance. I expected loads of sex, ended up with mostly story and one sex scene. It was nice, but not exactly what I was in th mood for at the time. It was pretty predictable, but in the end a nice little romance.
I would check this author out again, just not when I am in a smutty mood.

Short, and I mean Short.
The writing was ok, and the storyline was A typical 'i have loved you since we were kid's.' There really wasn't even time for character development.
