*~* HE'S BACK! And this time he's not letting anything get in his way. KYLE'S RETURN IS THE LAST BOOK IN THE GLOVES OFF SERIES. *~*
I promised myself I’d stay away from dangerous men, but I couldn’t live up to that when Kyle Andrews came back to town. He’s a manipulator, a guy who’ll do whatever it takes to get what he wants, sabotaging anyone who gets in the way. After a fatal fight left him wounded, his UFC career comes to a close. He has nothing, but he’s determined to get it all back.
My name is Megan. I’ve known violence, pain, and what it feels like to be scared to live another day. All of that changed the moment I refused to be a victim. Now that my psychotic ex, Alex, can’t find me, I’ve been given a second chance. I owe my life to my friends. The same goes for Kyle. Without him, I wouldn’t be able to feel.
Everyone hates him. But for the life of me I don’t. There’s something about him I can’t ignore. Being with Kyle makes me want it all. However, in loving a hated man, I didn’t know it’d bring the life I fled from back to haunt me. Everywhere I go danger lurks and bad things happen. Kyle believes it’s because of him, but I’m starting to think otherwise. I think Alex has found me, and if so, this time he’s not going to let me go.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries.
She loves to write, but she also loves to play golf, go on mountain hikes and white-water rafting, and has a passion for singing. Her two youngest fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols.
Dover has written countless novels in several different genres, but her favorite to write is romantic suspense. However, she has found a new passion in romantic comedy, especially involving sexy golfers. Who knew the sport could be so dirty and fun to write about.
I wanted more from this...but I got a soapy love and redemption story...there's nothing wrong with that but this was like a fairytale and mushy with a little bit suspence and drama in it and I just couldn't get into it...so ultimate evil turned good didn't twist or curl my toes, but it was fun seeing all those fighters again and say goodbye to them all...
but my statement still stands that Camden's story was the best in these series...
The last book in the series.... boooooooo I want more!!!!
Absolutly gutted that this series is done but it was really nice how everyone got their HEA!!
This was probably my least favourite of them all but that because I am such a Twins of Terror fan nothing could come close.
I loved how Megan got stronger and faced her fears and I think she was perfect for Kyle on his road to redemption, you gotta love a reformed bad boy! All the girls from this series are kick ass and Megan was no different, I wish there would have been a bit more flirting and playing hard to get between the two but I still really enjoyed the book.
I think I have said everything I need to say about these books in my other reviews, the only thing left to say about them all is, if you haven't already read them DO IT!! and do it fast because you are really missing out!
I wasn't quite sure how L.P was going to redeem Kyle, but this was a perfect ending to this amazing series. I loved every single book in this series and the characters I won't forget. With Kyle wanting to start over and get his sister to forgive him and Megan wanting to get away from her ex for good, they never thought that want they need might be each other. I couldn't put my kindle down, I loved this book from start to finish. Amazing series from an amazing author. I can say I am a fan for life
Kyle & Megan’s relationship carried this book. I loved their playful banter & the sexual tension was definitely strong. Megan really took the lead in their relationship and it was awesome seeing their dynamic. Her unwavering faith in him was admirable. That takes a lot of strength after everything she went through with her ex. I would've liked to get to know Megan a little more in terms of learning about her dreams & future plans. We know Kyle loves fighting, but what does she want to do for the rest of her life? I doubt it's being the manager at her friend's gym. I will say, though, that while I liked the story, their relationship, and all the characters, I still needed more: more suspense, more drama, more depth.
Megan & Kyle's relationship was strong, possibly my favorite of the month, but I wish I'd felt the depth of his journey as much as I did the depth in their relationship. I didn’t feel his hopelessness of potentially never being forgiven by his sister and her friends. I didn’t feel the unease of Megan’s past coming back to haunt them. I didn’t feel the other characters’ internal & moral struggle to forgive Kyle. All of that ultimately made it hard to feel the suspense. I liked it overall, the reveal & the drama was unexpected & interesting, but there was nothing necessarily unique about the drama or the overall plot. The villain's plan didn’t really make any sense to me. The shock factor was there, but the logic definitely had some holes in it.
Because we didn’t get to see Kyle’s journey from being a jerk to a reformed bad boy, it made Kyle feel more like an entirely new character as opposed to an evolved one. It undermines the depth of his journey. A redemption arc is all about being shown, not told. We saw his new & improved self, but without seeing more of his journey, it's hard for the characters or reader to believe the transformation is permanent. Frankly, at his young age I don’t see either version of Kyle being happy with coaching & the occasional amateur fight in a bar, or accepting it so easily. There are more paths to take other than just UFC & coaching. It would’ve been nice to see him consider or explore those first. It felt like the author knew the basics of what story & ending she wanted but didn’t quite know how to build it up right.
Yay! This series has gotten a reprieve! After a so and so start to this series, Camden's Redemption finally held my interest and with Kyle's Return following after, and being the final book my expectations were raised (just a smidge).
Annnnnd... it did not disappoint! Another book that had me reading til the wee hours! I couldn't put it down.
Kyle was first introduced in this series as the jerkface, villainous fighter who everyone hated because he was just bad news. But after some serious incidents that unfold, leave a devasting wake and in turn flip Kyle's world upside down, he's vowed to change for the better and get his life right.
Two year later and his back. And trying to prove that he's no longer the devious person everyone knew him to be.
Kyle's story was similar to Camden's in that they both fell off the rails, hanged out with the wrong crowd and fell rock bottom. With the help of a couple of friends who never gave up on him and a love interest in Megan - this book was just as enjoyable as Camden's.
I loved Megan's unwavering faith in Kyle right from the beginning (even before they started dating), which I think makes part of this story and Kyle's journey all the more sweet.
Kyle's protective and caring demeanor towards Megan (and only Megan) was the stuff of swooniness! I'm a sucker for gray characters/ reformed bad boys who love fiercely and not afraid to admit it! So if you're the same then this one is for you! ;-)
But this is just as much Megan's story as it is Kyle's. She's dealing with a deadly and abusive past that she can't seem to shake off. It will have you wincing with some of the brutality she's had to endure. Heads Up! I'm adding a Trigger Warning for this book. Not only does it contain graphic violence but sexual, emotional and mental abuse.
All in all, this book was a bittersweet ending to the series. This one will have you on the edge of your seat. Will have you teary-eyed. But will surely put a smile on your face in the end.
The last book of the series Gloves Off.😢. I’m going to miss this gang of fighters. In this book the protagonists are Megan and Kyle, both characters appear in the first and third book , and both have come a long way. Megan appears briefly in the first book when she hooked up with Riley in a bar, and just when they are going to have sex in the bar, Megan’s boyfriend appears and hits them both, but Riley immediately beats him up. Riley offers Megan to teach her self defense so she can defend herself if Alex tries to hit her again. Kyle appears in Tyler´s book when he fights with him for the title. His dirty deeds seriously endanger his sister Kacey, who is almost raped by his agent, causing Tyler to become so enraged that he hit him so hard that he is left in a wheelchair. It’s been 2 years and Kyle, who can walk again, hoes to Tyler´s gym to try to make amends and show that he has changed. Megan works at the gym and she is the only one who gives him a chance. Kyle still has a long way to go to earn forgiveness from all those he has screwed up. Megan will have to face Alex again. Nasty phone calls come first, only to be almost killed on the road later. Kyle becomes her shadow, but none could have expected Alex to befriend Kyle at the club where Kyle fights. When Kyle discovers his true identity , he beats him to death, but that doesn’t stop him. He’s determined to get Megan back, if he can’t have her no man will have her.
“So what exactly are you hoping to gain by coming to see me? You want forgiveness for everything you’ve done?” “It’s a start. Or at least give me the hope that you can, someday in the future.” She took a step forward, her saddened green gaze regarding me wearily. “There are so many other people you hurt, Kyle. A few of them happen to be my friends. If you want my forgiveness you need to get theirs too.” “Are you fucking kidding me?” I shouted. “You must seriously want me dead.” “Then you shouldn’t have been stupid enough to do what you did. Those are my terms. Take it or leave it.”
“You saw what I did today. I let go of my pride and I’ll pay the price of that humiliation for the rest of my life. I need for someone to give me a chance.”And I know you don’t trust me, but I’m hoping once you see that I’ve changed, you’ll see me differently from everyone else.” I couldn’t believe I was even entertaining the idea. I must be fucked up in the head. “So what do you want to do?” Taking a deep breath, he let it out slowly. “We can start out slow. “If we do this, you can’t tell anyone.” He ran a hand down my arm and I shivered. It was the first time he’d touched me so intimately. “I understand.”
“I don’t judge you for what you did, because frankly, I didn’t know you then. I’m kind of glad I didn’t.” I placed my hand over his heart. “But I do know who you are today. That’s the Kyle I want to be with.” Lifting his hand, he ran his fingers through my hair. “I don’t scare you?” “You do, but it’s not in the way you think. I’m not afraid you’ll hurt me, but I am afraid of the way you make me feel. It’s like I’m being pulled to you and the harder I fight it, the harder it is to resist. It grows stronger every day.” “And now?” he questioned, closing the distance. “How does it feel when I touch you and kiss you?” I looked up at him and smiled. “It all feels right.”
“What can I say? I want people to know you’re mine; especially the overenthusiastic duo who want to pound you out.” “Oh whatever, there’s nothing to be worried about with them. They know I’m not interested.” He snorted. “It doesn’t matter. I’ve watched the way other guys look at you. It’d be nice not having to see them lust over my girlfriend.” I rolled on top of him, grinning. “So I’m your girlfriend now?” “Yep. The only one I’ve ever had,” he admitted. Eyes wide, I sat up and straddled his waist, looking down at him. “Really? How is that possible?” Shrugging, he slid his hands up my thighs. “Simple. I didn’t want one.” “Well, since I’m your first, you do understand the rules of relationships, right?” In one quick move, he gripped my hips and rolled me onto the bed, his body achingly hard against my core. “Let’s see if I understand this correctly.” Pressing his lips to mine, he opened me further with his tongue. He bit my lip when I moaned and sucked it between his teeth. “If you’re mine, you have to live by the same rules as I. No one is allowed to kiss your lips except me.” He glided his fingers across my breasts and circled my nipples. “The same goes for touching you like this.” Then he cupped me with his palm. “And like think that about covers it. But you left out one important thing,” I whispered across his lips. “And that is?” I slid my hand up his chest and rested it over his heart. “That this right here belongs to me. The physical stuff is a given. I don’t plan on seeking comfort anywhere else. But the heart and mind are more powerful than anything else. As long as I have your heart and know that I’m the only one on your mind, I’ll be perfectly happy.” Grabbing the back of my neck, he pulled me down for a kiss. “You have it, love.” “And you have mine. But now I’m really late for work. I have to go.”
Gabby caught the gesture and rolled her eyes. “That includes me, idiot. You may have been the sworn enemy of my family and a complete douche, but even guys like you can find redemption. Pax and Camden did, so why not you?”“That is what you want isn’t it, a chance to fight again?” He lowered his lips to mine and cupped my cheek. “Yes, more than anything. I’ve just never had anyone fight for me like this.” “Well, get used to it because I’m not going anywhere.” “Will you be at the fight?” I smiled up at him. “I wouldn’t miss it.”
“Do you want to know what I thought when you said you loved me?” she asked, keeping her eyes on the water. Here we go. “I don’t know. Anger, disgust, revulsion? Take your pick.” She swirled around, crossing her arms. “Is that what you think? Why the hell would I be here if that’s what I thought?” I shrugged. “I don’t know. When you didn’t say anything back I figured you were appalled at the thought of me loving you.” Uncrossing her arms, she stood there with pain in her eyes. “Kyle, no,” she murmured, closing the distance. “I had never felt happier in my life to hear those words. I’ve never had anyone say them to me and mean them.”“So what are you saying? Does this mean you’re not mad at me for acting like an overbearing, idiot boyfriend?” “No . . . for that shit, I’m still pissed.” Chuckling, she jumped into my arms and I held her tight. “But I’ll get over it if you promise not to ignore me anymore. I love you, Kyle. I’ve wanted to tell you for days now.”I kissed her hard, loving the feel of her body against mine. I’d missed her touch and the way she smelled. Before, I was addicted to the fight and nothing else. Now, I couldn’t get enough of her. She was what I craved and she was mine to protect. I may be a hated man and deserve to have my career taken away, but nothing and no one was going to take her away from me. “What are you doing?” Spreading her legs, I pushed her underwear to the side and freed my cock. “I’m going to fuck you, right here and now. I can’t wait any longer. And then tonight when we’re in bed, I’ll make love to you the way I should have this week.”
As we looked on, Kyle shook Alex’s hand and talked to him like they were friends. Zane looked at me like I’d lost my mind. “In the ring? That’s Grady Danvers. He’s been fighting here for two months. He and Kyle are friends.” Friends? Two months? Holy fuck. Alex had changed so much, even if you saw a picture of him before, you’d question if it was him now. But no amount of muscles or changing the color of his hair could disguise him from me. What made it even more real was the tattoo on his arm. Because intertwined in his tattoos was my name. The fight had started and I felt so sick I could barely stand. Zane helped steady me as I sat down in the chair. “You’re serious aren’t you? Kyle has no fucking clue he’s been chatting it up with your ex. I need to tell Jake.” I swallowed hard. “Yes, you do, but more importantly, I need to call Detective Griffin. He’s been trying to find Alex.” “There’s also something more important than that,” Nic cut in. She peered up into the ring where both Kyle and Alex pummeled each other before Kyle knocked him down to the mat. The first round was almost over. “Someone needs to tell Kyle.””She’s a beautiful thing, isn’t she? Sorry to tell you, one way or another, I’ll have that sweet pussy wrapped around my cock again soon.” “I’m sorry you had to see me like that,” he murmured. I turned my body to face him. “Like what?” His head was down, but then he sighed and faced me. “In a rage. The last thing I want is for you to be afraid of me.” “Kyle, that’s never going to happen. Just because you went after Alex doesn’t make me think you’ll hurt me. On the contrary, it lets me know that you’ll do anything to keep me safe. It makes me love you more.” He breathed a sigh of relief. “I do love you. It scares the fuck out of me, but I do.” I snickered, which brought a small smile to his face. “I’m glad to know that something scares the big, bad Kyle Andrews.” Chuckling, he opened up his door. “Just don’t go telling people.” “Your secret’s safe with me.”
Wow, I can’t believe this series is coming to an end. I LOVED all the books!!
Kyle Andrews is the guy everyone hates. He is ruthless, a cheater, and put his sister’s life in danger. At least he used to be those things.
Kyle has done a lot of awful things, but being in a wheelchair gave him time to reflect on his life. He wants to change and make everything right.
Kyle ends up back in Las Vegas at his soon to be brother in law’s gym. There he meets the beautiful Megan. She seems to be the only one willing to give him the time of day. He knows he doesn’t deserve anyone’s friendship but he is going to try.
Megan barely escaped from her psychotic ex alive. She is in no hurry to hookup with a man again. When Kyle Andrews shows up at the gym she works, she is intrigued. She knows all about him, but as she gets to know him, she sees something in him. Megan believes he has changed and is willing to help him.
Each day their attraction to each other grows but their relationship is complicated. Kyle has affected all of Megan’s friends in some way and they try hard to discourage their friendship.
Kyle is not afraid to face all the people he wronged, especially his sister. He will do anything for her forgiveness.
Besides Kyle’s problems, they also have Megan’s ex to fear. He will not let her go and continues to terrorize her.
I absolutely loved this book! Just when I think there can’t be another favorite man in the series, L.P. surprises me with another hottie!
Kyle was perfect. I loved how he redeemed himself. Megan was also great. Even though she was scared she took another chance on love.
I am so sad to see this series end. It is definitely in my top 5! I can’t wait to read what this amazing author has for us to read next!
The bad-boy everyone hated. And with very good reason. I've always said from book 1 of this series how much I love it. How each book got better and better. You know the saying "save the best for last"? That applies here.
How L.P. took a character so low, so vile and self-centered and completely turned him into someone you wanted to see succeed takes some serious talent. And she has it!
All through this series, I was always on edge, wondering when Kyle was going to pop up and what kind of havoc he was going to reap this time. From day one we've seen him do nothing unless it solely benefited him or his career. He didn't care who he hurt along the way; his actions were justified in his mind.
In this book there's none of the previous jerk that we've all come to loathe. He's been replaced with a guy who's hit rock bottom, and has no where to go but up. He's humbled, reserved, and eager to make amends with those he's wronged. He knows that the hardest fight of his life won't be inside the ring this time.
He unexpectedly finds an ally in Megan. She knows of Kyle, and his reputation, but she sees something worthy in him. She knows what its like to be on the receiving end of hell, and yet she trusts him. Wants him. Actually sees a future with him. The two of them together makes so much sense, and they fit perfectly.
Reading Kyle's Return was bittersweet for me. I hated knowing that this was the last book in the Gloves Off Series, because I love all the characters and the tight-knit family they create. But honestly, L.P. could not have chosen a better way to end it. She managed to wrap it up neatly, and didn't leave any loose ends.
If you haven't read this entire series, you need to.
While I'm sad to see these characters go, I'm looking forward to what she's bringing us next.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. Kyle's Return is the fifth book in the Gloves Off series by L.P. Dover and I am gonna miss these MMA fighters. Kyle has returned to try and salvage his relationship with his sister but everyone is wondering what he is really up too. He was the main fighter on the Dark Side and he hurt a lot of people, not just in the ring but outside of it too. So when he lost the feeling in his legs, he vowed to make things right to those he had wronged and worked for two years to walk again. When he shows up at Tyler's gym looking to see his sister, Tyler doesn't like the idea. He meets Megan, a woman who has see the bad side of a man and she will not let any man hurt her again. While Megan fights for Kyle, they both began to have feelings for each other. Can the good girl tame the bad boy? Will Tyler be able to protect her when her ex-boyfriend shows up after getting out of prison? Can Tyler show everyone that he has changed and for the better? I think this story was harder to read because of the pain that both Megan and Kyle has gone through. I loved every minute of it and wish there were more on the way. Yeah L.P. could write about other fighters from Tyler's gym. Yes I love this series and will miss the MMA fighters and there ladies. If you like a great story that has MMA fighters that are all alpha males, strong female leads and loads of best friends that are there for the good and the bad, then you should enjoy this series.
I was so excited when I saw that Kyle was getting his own story and I couldn't wait to read it! It did not disappoint at all!! Kyle completely redeemed himself and I have no doubts that he will steal your heart like he did mine. Kyle's Return was wonderful and I positively loved it!
There's no question that Kyle has changed and become a better person. He got the wake-up call he needed, he got his second chance, and he took it. Kyle really turns out to be a great guy: he's strong, protective, and loyal. He's everything that I love in a hero and despite his shady past, you won't be able to resist him!
Megan, oh my gosh, is that girl a total bada*s or what?! She is one tough gal that you really don't want to mess with! Megan can most definitely take care of herself; she's determined and she's a fighter. She never gives up on Kyle and has complete faith in him. Megan is an awesome heroine and I just loved her!
Kyle's Return is full of some sad times, scary, dangerous times, extremely happy, fun times, sexy times, and several heart melting moments. It is a fantabulous book and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading it although it was also bittersweet because this is the final book in the Gloves Off series. I loved and will absolutely miss it all!
Kyle's Return is a standalone, but it is more enjoyable if you read the books in order. It is told from Megan and Kyle's POV and they do get their HEA. ~ Paige, 5 stars
**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
I wanted to hate Kyle. Everything he had put this group through, but I couldn't. This was the perfect ending to this series. Yes, Camden and Pax were also disliked at one time and I grew to love them. Kyle was just so much worse then both of them. I grew to love him.
Megan West was a bad ass chick. She had no problems taking down her nasty ex and putting Kyle in his place when he needed it. I love that the girls in this series were never the meek timid girls. They had a backbone. Nothing is worse than reading about tough alpha men and weak woman.
I am said to see that the series is over. This has to be one of the best written MMA series out there. I highly recommend to everyone I know!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads
This is the last (sobsob) in the series and I have enjoyed every single one. I plan on doing a Gloves Off marathon when I next take a beach holiday as I am sure that my memory didn’t fill in all the pieces as I read them over their release dates. And that is especially relevant for this finale. Kyle, the seemingly irredeemable, decides to take a chance and reconcile with his past. He also hopes to make a better future. I loved it, and Megan was a perfect foil for him. Loved them all, thank you so much Ms Dover. Look forward to seeing what your talented mind creates for us in the future!
4.5* Another great read, not as enjoyable as I had hoped. After reading Camden's story I was expecting this to be as good but maybe because I had not read all previous books relating to Kyle and is asshole ways. I didn't hate him as much, don't get me wrong after the way he treated Tyler and his sister Kacey I thought he was a dickhead but he did seem genuinely sorry after everything that happened to Kacey.
I did really enjoy this story though and it was gripping especially towards the end. I loved how Megan wasn't easily swayed by Kyle to begin with, and he had to really prove himself not just to Megan, but Tyler, Kacey and everyone else before Megan would agree to date him. The story was hot and I loved the whole scene with the whipped cream!!
I would certainly recommend this book, and entire series though, especially if you love a good fighter novel, and a bad boy.
Gloves Off Series was by far one of my favorite series! L.P. Dover did a phenomenal job adding the right amount of suspense, love, and alpha male & female roles! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I loved that each fighter had their own book, I couldn't stop flipping the pages! I'm glad I was able to read the series!
Loved Kyle and Megan's story i love a bad boy and you never fail to deliver. The last of the glove's off series left on a high. I only wish it didn't. Would love to know how everyone gets on with the marriage lark and babies.
I’ve read this book multiple times and this book is one of my go to reads of the Gloves Off Series but I’ve never actually gotten around to posting a review so here goes. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I really enjoyed the connection between Kyle and Megan. I was looking forward to reading Kyle’s story after seeing Camden get his redemption, I knew it was possible but Kyle has done some truely horrible things. I thought it was awesome that LP choose to have Kyle end up in a wheelchair from his fight with Tyler years prior and that after his accident and the possibility that he’d never be able to walk ever again as that would change everyone’s outlook on life, make them reflect on their previous actions and the type of person they want to be going forward since it’s their second chance at life so it made it way more believable that’s the reason Kyle would change, than just meeting a women and wanting to be a better person because of her. Man, Megan’s ex Alex was completely psychotic and I can’t believe that she even had the guts to even give Kyle the time of day knowing all he’d done to f*ck over her friends as well as her ex not only being ab*sive pretty much all of their relationship but he also tried to k*ll her after she left her. It just goes to show the type of person she is and that she got to know the new Kyle instead of just judging him on his previous actions. I’m really glad that they both opened up to each other early on of what happened to Megan and all about her ex and when Megan asked Kyle things about his feelings on how it was thinking he’d never be able to walk again and whether or not he’’d k*lled while fighting at the Dark Side, he never lied to her even if he did expect her scorn and judgement after being completely honest.
I’m really glad that he wasn’t proud of what he’d done and explained to Megan why he’d done everything, which really shone through when they went to his house and Megan commented on all the trophies he had in the Garage and he told her that he didn’t earn them on his own merits, meaning he sabotaged his opponents to win them but he was really proud of the couple of ones he’d earned himself we’re proudly displayed inside the house. I also liked that even though Megan got a lot of flack from her friends and they thought she was completely insane when they heard that the rumours that her and Kyle were seeing each other were true, she stuck by him, she never waivered and she even helped him gaining forgiveness from his sister Kacey, as well as gaining forgiveness from all her friends that he’d wronged in the past. Megan was completely in his corner and one of his biggest supporters along with his old friend/brother Pax when after Pax saw that Kyle was back to what he was like when they grew up together, so his true self before he turned into a complete power hungry, manipulative a*sehole. I’m glad that he happily jumped through as many hoops to gain forgiveness from his sister, even if some of them were extremely hard for him. I’m really sad to see this series end as I love all the Fighters but I’m really looking forward to reading the start of the new Armed & Dangerous Series, Jason’s story next as he intrigued me from when he was first introduced in his sister Brooklyn and Camden’s story Camden’s Redemption and I’m hoping we get some cameos in it since it’s set in Vegas. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
WOW. Where can I start with this book? It is the fifth book in the Gloves Off series. The series can be read as stand alone books or as a series but to get the most out of the story I suggest that you read them in order.
In Kyle's story we follow Kyle as he tries to prove to his former enemies that he has changed and that he is not the man that he used to be. The story is told from Kyles and Megan's point of view. This really let's you understand Kyle and where he came from in the beginning of the series.
The character development in this book is amazing. Kyle really had no place to go. He was seen as the lowest of the low the last time we saw him. The doctor's didn't even know if he would walk again. Now here he is looking for forgiveness. That in and of itself shows the growth of this character. The strength that it would take to admit he was wrong after all that has been done is unheard of.
One of the highlights of this book for me was the friendship that forms between Kyle and Megan. This isn't a love story rushed into. Not just a wham bam thank you mam. It is a true relationship that starts in the beginning with a chance. A chance to prove who Kyle has become and not to be judged by who he used to be.
As with all the books in this series I have loved them all from the first page to the last. Although I am said the series is over I am very happy with how it ended. I give Kyle's Returna 5 Rose rating.
Favorite Quote: "And now you're here to make peace with your sister. I hope it works out for you. Kacey has a good heart. I often wondered how someone like her could have a brother like you."
Okay have to say I didn't like Kyle in the previous books but they say don't judge a book by its cover and I think many people did this with Kyle. He has been known to be cold-hearted, mean and bad to the core even to the point of well ruining people. Then we have a sweet, kind and beautiful woman like Megan who see's past all that in him. Two people so opposite yet actually fit with one another in a way they never expected. We see Kyle fighting to be something more than he used to be and Megan is everything that well makes him good. I loved seeing L.P. Dover show us what Kyle used to be and just applauding how he redeems himself in this book. The chemistry between them starts of a friendship they didn't realize they needed blooming into a second chance Kyle didn't think was possible. Loved it.

I enjoyed this book but the author needs to draw out the drama just a tad more. When Kyle stepped foot in Tyler's gym Megan was mean and hateful to him. He had done so many of her friends wrong and no one was ready for forgiveness. What irritates me is that it wasn't long and she is all nice and loving all over him. There was no time line and it seemed instantly. As much as he was hated they wouldn't have forgiven him that quickly. That being said it was still a good book. It draws you in from the beginning and holds your attention until the last page. I do wish there was some kind of back story as to what Kyle went through those 2 years he was in a wheel chair. It would have added so much more to the story, as to how he came to regret all of his actions and how he over come the paralysis to be able to walk again.
Ohhhh No this is the last book in this series. I loved this series and all the MMA fighers along with their women. Since all the books had a fighter fighting for his redemption, this book about Kyle fighting for his redemption was the most difficut to read because he did such awful things. Nontheless it was good anyway. I guess everyone who wants forgiveness should be forgiven. In the end I did like Kyle and the way he learned to love and protect.
Well it's the end of this series but L.P. Dover is such a great writer I'm going to check-out some of the other books she has written.
my love for these guys are just insane. i believe in second chances and by god did Kyle fuck up. he didnt have an easy way to prove himself but he did. he found a girl who was willing to put everything he did behind him and help her with her crazy boyfriend. i feel like i was in this group and i loved how all these guys have their own love and story. each of the guys was in a different group as they lived in two different cities but they all connected. i loved this whole series and im so happy i stumbled a crossed it.
Wow I loved this book. I loved how Kyle's story was told and how Megan was willing to believe in him. But would Megan's friends try to keep her away from Kyle because of his past bad deeds? This story was a great follow-up to the 4 previous stories but you could have read it without reading the others. However, reading the previous 4 stories gives you a great background for this one.
I don’t want this series to end! The characters started feeling like family and friends with how well you got to know them all. Kyle has changed so much from the beginning of the series, and the connection between him and Megan? Amazing!
Great series sad that it’s ending but excited the next generation stories. Love the closeness of this group, the drama, and love they have for each other.
