I anxiously waited for this book and I'm glad it didn't disappoint. This love story was unique and it surprised me. I enjoyed the lead characters and cheered them on, hoping they would get their happily ever after from the horrid situation they found themselves in. There are twists and turns you never expect, a mystery that's kept secret right until the very end and a heartbreaking romance that will depress you.

I loved the first book in the series but I this was topped it. I was engaged and impressed beyond my expectations. I'm anxiously waiting for the next one. This book was reviewed by a member of the review staff at Cocktails and Books. The name of the reviewer can be found under the post categories.

I have read every Susan Fisher-Davis book there is to date and have never been disappointed. I found this one to be a bit refreshing, the storyline was written a little different than the others. Because I have read the series in order, I'm familiar with these characters, so even though I knew the hidden agenda, there were still some surprises and twists. If this was someone's first book from this author, I think it would be a really great mystery for them. All in all, great read!

This was my second book by this author and i wondered how she could top the first one, but she did.

I enjoyed this book but in a different way than I have from other books. I enjoyed the interactions between Mont/Colt and Isabella but they also frustrated me. It was hard to read conversations between the two when you knew what they were trying to say but couldn't and hoped the other was able to read between the lines. You as the reader knew that Mont/Colt was trying to do everything he could to keep Bella safe without blowing his cover and as one would expect she didn't always make it easy for him. I loved watching the love grow between the two of them even though Isabella wasn't understanding how she could be falling for a "bad guy".

It was a cute story, but the author obviously knows nothing about babies. She has them sitting up and eating solids at 2 months old. Thankfully this is late enough in the book that it doesn’t ruin it, but it’s still terrible.

Okay but

Was an okay read but extremely far fetched. Got irritated at the storyline and the princess who for an intelligent lawyer was portrayed as a bit of an idiot. Not a keeper.

Great book

Love this series. This author makes her hero's so sexy. This book was a bit of a year jerker, but you somehow sense it has to end well.

Loved the fact this book was a bit different to the others, in that it was set away from the ranches for most of the book. Great story line with several twists and turns along the way.

Really Isabella thinks he will never get out of prison so when she is kidnapped so they can get to her father. She is watched over by Mont aka Colt to keep her safe. A copy of this title was received in exchange for an honest review.

The entire time I was reading this story, I kept thinking "gee the writing is really good but the timeline is totally off". I did enjoy the story and I know it's fiction but it just did not seem realistic. The characters were pretty well developed and the scenery was set well. The secondary characters were even good. The love scenes were semi-erotic. It was just the timeline that kept throwing me. I have read other books by this author and truly enjoyed them. Since this is the second book of this series, I think I will go and read the first one and see how that one goes. Not ready to give up on this author, just this particular book missed the mark for me.

This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. It does have an HEA.

Nanee's Review:

I absolutely love this author, I love the way she creates her characters and her stories always keep you on the edge of seat. This book has a whole lot of sexy in it... and I mean sexy!!! Mont or when he is undercover goes by Colt, he is one bad boy, sexy as hell, tough as nails FBI agent who can't seem to stop wanting Isabella or Princess Bella as he calls her even though she's supposed to be the hostage of a major scumbag who is out for revenge against Isabella's father. Isabella is amazing, she puts herself at the mercy of these scumbags, she stays to help Colt and she goes head to head with anyone in her way.

I loved the way these two characters fell for each other, I loved the chemistry and the OMG lighting up of the sheets (this author sure can write sexy well!) I thought the story was intriguing and full of action and once I started reading I couldn't put it down. A lot happens within these pages and I don't want to ruin anything, so you'll have to read it yourself but I love how Mont's buddies are back and happy for him being home again. I cannot wait for the next in this series...I want Storm to have his happily ever after..lol. I loved this story, I thought the characters were amazing and sexy as hell. 4.5 to 5 stars review by Up All Night Read All Day (Nanee)

The second book in the Bad Boys of Dry River, Wyoming had a lot to prove. The first story in the series, Lucas, was a lovely book that pulled at my heartstrings and had me cheering for Lucas and Emily. Its premise was wonderful and it was an extremely fulfilling read. Approaching Montgomery cautiously, I was immediately pulled into a fast-paced action-packed story that quickly grabbed my interest and never allowed it to wane.

Mont is a fantastic hero, confident and determined to complete his job, who finds himself blindsided by feelings for Isabella, a woman he can’t possibly keep as his. Isabella is a wonderful protagonist, neck-deep in hot water but never truly helpless, headstrong and more than willing to fight for what she wants. The tension between these two and between them and those that threaten them is palatable and nail biting.

These well-developed characters will have you living each dangerous moment with them and longing for them to find a way to overcome the barriers that threaten them. Just when you think you’ve figured out what will transpire, Susan Fisher-Davis throws another wrench into the works and the tension mounts again.

I loved this book and look forward to reading about the rest of the Bad Boys of Dry River, Wyoming. What an incredible series!

"Montgomery" joins the "Dry River" lineup. It's always fun to read a series that has a group of linked characters. In this case, it's teen-age bad boys who grow up and meet their "forever" ladies. To keep the story lines unique and fresh, it takes a good imagination on the author's part. In "Montgomery" Bella and Colt/Mont meet under tense circumstances. Bella's Godfather is killed, her father's on the "most wanted" list by a man with vengeance on his mind, and Bella is taken hostage. Personally, I like a little buildup before a couple starts rolling around the bedsheets and more scenes developing and earning the "L" word, but the story gallops along at a good pace. There's a surprise ending, and it is a surprise, with no hints along the way. I liked the story 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 for this fun Wyoming romantic read.

Exciting, sexy, thrilling, hot, all are words that describe this book well. A kidnapping, bad boys with a secret, and a hot-headed redhead for a heroine.

A fiercely independent woman is kidnapped by a hated enemy of her fathers but finds herself falling for one of his henchmen. It's the usual story, boy meets girl - boy loses girl - boy finds her again, but this author spins it in a captivating way. She keeps you turning pages, wondering what is going to happen next.

With characters I like and admire, villains I loved to hate and a perfect ending, this roller coaster ride of a story earned four fangs from me. Only the fact that it is tamer than my usual fare as an independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock keeps it from being a full five fang book.

This book blew my mind. How do you deal with trust issues, throw two people together that shouldn't trust each other in the same space that's how. Isbella and Montgomery must learn to trust each other which for these two it's easier said than done. Overcoming the challenges that face them, they can't deny the attraction between them. The sparks fly and ignite the flames of love with these characters making it hard for you to put it down until the last page. You can't go wrong by one clicking this Bad Boy of Dry River!

I loved this installment of the Bad Boys of Dry River, Wyoming series. I love all of Susan's cowboys who I've met so far, but what was fun about Montgomery is that his story was a little different. It takes us outside the usual setting. I love Dry River, Wyoming, fully intend on visiting there someday (haha), but it was cool to see the story travel outside the town. Montgomery and Isabella were likable characters and I loved their story. I also loved seeing the other folks from the series.

Montgomery is undercover. He is supposed to be taking down Barkley and his gang. He never meant to fall in love. Isabella is the Governor's daughter. She has been kidnapped to get to her father. She falls in love with the man guarding her.
Montgomery has just woken up. He has been in a coma for 8 months. Isabella was told he died. Will she forgive him? Will they be free to be together?

I so love Susan's cowboy series, and this one is no exception. But this time it's about a bad boy - a very bad boy who falls in love, instantly to the girl he has captive.
Great love story, suspense and hot steamy scenes.
