3.5. There were some really interesting points in this book that I hi-lighted and want to return to. There were also points that didn’t sit well with me. For instance being able to speak curses. Overall it was a decent book but I’m not sure if I’d recommend it.
This is an excellent breakdown of Proverbs 31. The verses are broken down into parts, and each part is broken down into 2-3 page readings. The author has put a lot of thought into how to interpret the verses, to make them encouraging and applicable to women today.
Much of this is for married women with children, since some of Proverbs 31 speaks to the woman's care for her husband and children. But if you are single or childless, don't let that stop you from reading it. There's still a lot of great material here.
I’m probably not the right person to have read this (I’m not a mother or wife yet) but I enjoyed some of the daily devotions. I do think it was quite long, and there were some days that felt too surface level or very fluffy. I prefer more depth in my devotionals where it keeps me thinking after I’ve read it. This didn’t really do that for me.
Really great book to read for women who think they need to be perfect and get everything done. Great book for the wife looking to get back on track and be a cheerful, joyous help mate.
