Kennedy Bennett threw herself at her brother’s best friend, Beckham Fox, on her 16th birthday, only to be denied. Now two years later, she’s a freshman in college ready to start with a clean slate. Except on the first day, Beckham Fox reappears into her life and all the humiliation she pushed aside comes rushing back. Will she be able to break Beckham down or will his friendship with her brother continue to keep them apart?
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!? How can I just have the first installment and have it end like that...now, I'm all pissed off because I'm totally hot and bothered only to be left outside to hang dry!!
Full review to come...
**FULL REVIEW**
“Maybe I didn’t need to start fresh completely. A familiar face would actually be nice to see around. The only problem was, he was hotter than ever, and that one passion-fueled kiss we shared so long ago, pushed its way back to the front of my mind, and was currently playing on rotation.”
Kennedy is girl with a childhood crush on her older brother’s best friend, Beckham. When he turns her down on her sixteenth birthday, she’s crushed. For the next two years she avoids him…
Finally away at college, Kennedy is looking forward to finally moving on and possibly under some hot co-ed…never did she imagine she’d run into Beckham again.
Maybe things could be different, she’s no longer the sixteen year old girl with a crush…the feelings she had all that time ago are still very real and now, age is no longer a factor…
This was FABULOUS! I wish it was longer…or at least that I knew when the next story was coming out because I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!! Solid coming-of-age story with a sexy twist!
Okay. I'm going to be honest in this review. 'Me' was a good book but I feel that it could have been better. Kennedy, the protagonist in this book, has had I life long crush on her brother's best friend, Beckham. On her 16th birthday, Kennedy wanted nothing more than to give her virginity to him, but he ended up rejecting her. “I mean no. We can’t do this. I should never have even let it get this far.” I looked down at my lacy pink bra and panties, and tried to keep the tears at bay. “Don’t you think I’m pretty?” I have to admit. I understand what it's like to feel rejected by someone you like. It feels like your heart is literally being fractured into tiny cracks. However, I think Kennedy tried a little too hard in getting Beckham to notice her and it seemed like she trying to force a relationship between them. Little did she know that Beckham was already in love with her, but afraid to admit his true feelings. Fast forwarding into the present when Kennedy is in college, she finds out after months of not seeing him, Beckham goes to her school and all the feelings that she had for him came rushing back. “But now, I was helpless as I stared into those beautiful hazel eyes mesmerized by how amazing he looked, older and hotter, if that’s possible, with scruff and rocking a man bun. Be still my ovaries.” From that point, I knew were the story was leading to. Down the toilet with backed up tissue paper. To be honest the blurb gave me all the answers that I needed to know in this book. It was very predictable in such a short read. Let's break it down shall we: Girl falls in love with guy Guy says he doesn't like the girl in that way Girl doesn't understand why Girl goes away to college to get away from her family and the guy Guy shows up and pretends that all is good between them Girl tries to find hope buts keeps getting stumped Guy sends mix signals confusing the girl Girl finally had enough and decided to jump some strangers bones Guy doesn't like it and finally confessed his love Girl feels the same way and they have sex in a back alley Guy realized what he just did was wrong and turns away Girl is disappointed and disgusted and leaves to get wasted Girl ends up in a strangers home half naked and no idea how she got there. THE END Pretty simple right. Don't get me wrong, although this book is predictable and kind of cliché, I actually wouldn't mind reading the next book. I just hope there is more character development and plot improvement to make this go from a 3 star to a 5. Who knows, we'll see. Overall, I like Perfect Chaos and I can see Marie York's image of where she is trying to go with the plot.

Me is a serial by Marie York. Kennedy is a college student who at 16 tried to seduce her older brother’s best friend. I mean…who wouldn’t? Beckham is hot and they get along great. But Beckham is loyal to her brother Nixon and doesn’t want a punch in the face for taking advantage of his friend’s sister. Ever since his flat out denial, she has avoided him until running into on campus. Guess what? Beckham has transferred to her college!
“I barely had a foot out the door before I heard my name float across the hallway in that beautiful sexy voice. It was like a lasso, tying around me, and pulling me back to him. I knew he was only pretending to take an interest in me as a favor to my brother, but unfortunately it didn’t change anything. I still had a hard time resisting him”
This is a cute beginning to a falling for your brother’s best friend romance. Kennedy keeps trying to avoid Beckham and keep temptation at bay but he finds little ways to insert himself in her life. A girl can only put up so much of a fight. If he’s not interested, why is he pretty much stalking her?
It ends in a cliffhanger but don’t be too upset! All 3 parts of this serial are available now on Amazon so you can move on and find out what happens next. I already have jumped in with both feet!
Kennedy Bennett has only had eyes for one person and one person only. So what else is she to do but to take the step to make her dreams come true? The only problem, Beckham Fox is Kennedy's brother's best friend and he's not keen to cross that line. Not that you can't blame him, Nix could totally kill Beckham with his bare hands.
After his rejection, Kennedy keeps her distance. Although she never truly gives up hope of getting her hands on Beckham, she believes that college will give her a new start. The whole is her's for the taking.
Of course, fate has another plan for Kennedy in the shape of the one man she's always wanted.... Beckham.
Now that they have been thrown together, will all they ever be is friends or can something special grow?
This first installment in the Perfect Chaos Series is just that.... perfect. We get to know Kennedy and what is going through her mind as she takes this journey we can life. And Beckham? He's defiantly a walking wet dream... tall, handsome, rugged, charming, sexy in a man bun, and just a bit arrogant. These two have known each other for a lifetime, but this could be the start of something wonderful.
This book was a gift from the author and Paranormal Romance & Authors That Rock for an honest review.
Kennedy Bennett was only 16 when she offered herself to her older brother’s best friend, Beckham Fox. After he turned her down, she manage to avoid him successfully for two years thanks to him going to college across the country. To her surprise, as she starts classes on her first day of college, there he is. For some reason, he has transferred to her college. Every time she turns around, he’s there. The question remains, will she try to seduce him again and if so, will he say yes?
While this is a short story/novella, I never felt like the book was rushed. You can feel her angst as a teenager with emotions she’s not ready to handle. You feel her confusion when Beckham shows up at school always waiting for her. Does he really like her or is her brother making Beckham “babysit” her? Even the reader doesn't know the answers to those questions. Guess we’ll have to wait for “You,” the next book in the series. I know I’ll be waiting.
Like the author’s other series, Tryst, this book is part of a four part series, and ends on a cliffhanger.

omg I'm pissed but in a good way. I'm not sure how long this book is but I received 37 pages and I loved it from the first page it kept getting better and better then it was the end nooooo way. Kennedy has always had a thing for her brother Nixon best friend Beckham and for her birthday she was going to have him, in her mind at least. When Kennedy makes her move she never planned on a response like she got, he didn't want her how embarrassing. Kennedy has moved on, she's doing the college thing til she hears the one voice that stays in her dreams.......Beckham. Beckham hasn't really changed nice body, dirty blonde hair in a sexy ass man bun. He seems so nice and concern for her til she finds out her brother asked him to babysit. Kennedy is upset, but she can see the look in Beckham eyes the feelings aren't one sided . will she ever get him to admit those feelings or does he really not want her. I have got to have more of this book like right now. This was a first reading this author marie york but it will not be the last.
I received a copy of ME by Marie York in exchange for a blog tour and an honest review.
Me by Marie York was a quick read. An entertaining novella. While YA isn't really my favorite genre this "episode" did it's job. We were introduced to Kennedy as a sixteen year old, then again as a college freshman, just getting out and about on her own, and excited to do so. As a sixteen year old, she had a huge crush on her brothers best friend, Beckham Fox. She offered him up her virginity. So, while spreading her wings on her first day of school, she's at the coffee cart ordering her first cup and WHAM..whose voice does she hear? Yep, the king of humiliations... This was left on a huge cliffy to prepare you for YOU, book 2 in the series. Can't wait to continue Kennedy and Beckham's story.
This is a great start to this series! It's not long, but we do get the back story on what (didn't) happen between Kennedy and Beckham when she was 16. The actual story picks up with Kennedy's freshman year of college and the surprise of seeing Beckham again. Just when she thinks things could be different between them, she learns the truth and once again is devastated. Kennedy is a typical 18 year old who is just beginning to really get a chance to experience life away from her parents and brother. If you've read anything by Marie York, you know that one of her characters will have some big secret that will keep them away from the person they want to be with, and in this instance it's Beckham. I can't wait to see what's going to happen in the next installment of the series.
This was a quick read and a great start to the series. Marie York brought us Kennedy and as she turns 16 wants one and only one thing for her birthday, her brothers best friend Beckham. one desire, one rejection one new start at college a few years later. Kennedy vows to have a new start in her life with her first time away from home and starting college, until her 16 year old self emerges again when she spots Beckham. she tries to hate him but she can't she still desires him.
I loved this beginning to the series and can't wait to read more of it!
This story "Me" by Marie York is FASCINATING. Love, Rejection, brothers best friend. This is an amazing HOT read. I highly recommend this to all that love a great read. The emotions between Kennedy and Beckham are spot on. Almost like forbidden fruit, you want it but you can't have it. You will fall in love with Kennedy and Beckham. This book is the first book of "The Perfect Chaos Series", you should check this book out, you will not be disappointed. The series has three books. Also if you love this book check out the second book which it is called "You".
~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~
This book left me wanting more. Kennedy wants the one thing that she can't have. It's not like she hasn't tried, she has, and he has turned her down. All she wants now, is a normal college life, without the constant babysitter that is always hanging around.
Man, this book left me needing more from Marie. She can write a great book, and has made me love series books. This book is no different. There is passion in the words that she is writing. She now how to write a great book! You need to start this series! You will be wanting more!!
Shannon’s Review This book was so good. It’s not a long read but it’s filled with everything you need. A girl who wants to lose her virginity to her brother’s best friend and gets denied. Then later she sees him again. I don’t want to go into detail of this book but the ending left me saying WTF. I need more Marie. I am giving this book 5 hearts
I am pretty sure this would be a 5 star if it was a full length book. I really enjoyed Kennedy & Beckham's chemistry. I however, greatly disliked the cliffy ending of this book. But I do know that there will be more (hopefully soon). I will be waiting to read the remainder of the series (book).
This was a very quick read. Beware, it leaves you hanging. This is just the first of a series. The writing is good. You are just beginning to know and like the characters when it ends. I look forward to reading the next book in the series because I have to know what happens.
This is the beginning of a series, as this story was short it kept me interested and I can't wait to read the entire series. This is a story of a young girl that is in love with her brothers best friend Beckham.
I received a copy for exchange of a honest review. Kennedy had avoided Beckham everything time she see him at her house but now he transferred to her college. He doing favors for her brother but is it for her best interest cause care for her more than a little sister. Read this book to found out.
excellent read. very great work and can't wait for more. I can't believe it ended like that and hope there is a second book lol. excellent work marie keep up the work.
Classic little sister, older brother's friend twisted love story. Will Kennedy and Beckham every get their happily ever after. Or will they always have an unrequited love affair.
