The bestselling Ethan Frost series introduces a tantalizing new hero—and the broken woman only he can save. Discover why Beth Kery once declared that readers of Tracy Wolff will “fall in love under the spell of a master.”

When Tori Reed loses everything, he sets her free.

I told myself I’d never trust Miles Girard, no matter how brilliant or sexy he may be. His sister, Chloe—Ethan Frost’s wife—is my best friend, but I know just how low Miles will stoop to get what he wants. Now he’s the last thing I want: my boss.

Growing up, I had it all—except for the sense that I belonged. And when a mistake from my past surfaces in the press, my parents don’t hesitate to cut me off.

But surprisingly, Miles offers me a helping hand.

Before I know it, our relationship turns unprofessional in the hottest ways. Of course, he still drives me crazy. But when I’m dealt the ultimate blow, Miles is there for me. And maybe he’s the one I’ve been looking for all along.

This one was just OK for me. I didn't particularly like Tori. She came across a bit like a bitchy waste of space to be honest. Instead of doing something about her problems she pretty much just whined about her shitty life and her bad decisions. The whole poor rich socialite that everyone misunderstands gig was strong in this one. You don't want people to label you a hot mess then maybe stop acting like a drunk slut. It's not rocket science.

description

That said, she does improve somewhat as the book goes on. Unfortunately then the book turns super preachy about how women are thought about. How they take the brunt of the bad press when a sex tape in leaked...yadda...yadda...yadda. The following gif was pretty much how I felt for the majority of this book.

description

Like I said, just ok for me. The writing itself was fine and the plot (though annoying) moved along at a nice pace. Mile's was a decent hero and the sex scenes were decently hot.

3.5 - "I'm going to fix myself." Stars.

Tracy Wolff, returns to the world of the Ethan Frost series, with book four; Flawed. Although this book gives us Miles Girard and Tori Reed’s story, with Ethan and Chloe as secondary characters.

I have had mixed success with this series, and this book falls somewhere near the middle. It doesn’t quite match the emotion and surprises of the first book; Ruined but it was heaps better than the middle two books, which if I am being truthful were just all over the place and too full of drama and angst. But the nosey-bird in me was interested to see what sort of story the author would give this couple, as there has been a healthy mutual dislike and animosity between them from their first meeting way back when, and straight through to the first couple of chapters in this book.

I’m not even sure I like the woman- and I know she doesn’t like me- but that hasn’t stopped me from having any number of fantasies about that drop-dead-sexy mouth of hers.

But then the unthinkable happens to Tori and the chips are down, she quickly discovers that Miles is actually a guy worth having in your corner. The resentments and dislike Tori holds for Miles and vice-versa, are all explained in the previous three books, as Chloe (his sister & her best friend) is the woman that Ethan Frost falls in love with. I’m not going to go in depth on the reasonings why here because of the massive spoilers it would give away if you haven’t read those books, but to say that their dislike for each other is in certain aspects reasonable, but in others wholly unreasonable, gives you an indication just how difficult bringing this couple together should be, but Tracy handled it for the most part well. And I think the dual POV helped with that greatly.

It’s hard to hate a guy when he already hates himself.

One thing this author has always succeeded in doing no matter how bad or good the rest of the story, is give good sex for her couples, and although the sexy times between this pair were spicy, I also found the two main occasions to be very similar in their writing, lots of lip-licking and begging throughout each session, and at points it felt like I was reading a repeat of the same scene again.

The drama in this one, although full blown is actually pretty light compared to all the crap that Ethan and Chloe waded through which is another reason why I probably enjoyed the book more, because in comparison too the middle two books, this story is a winner for me.

I didn’t love it, I didn't hate it, I was glad to see Miles in a better light, and also see Tori get a happy ending, I would have however liked to see Tori’s father get his just desserts, after acting like such a tool at the point in her life when she needed him the most, but then his actions are why the relationship between her and Miles blossomed, but it would have been good have had that plot line tied off a little more securely than it was. All-in-all, easy-going and not a struggle to get through, but not the best book I have read by this author. I am eager to see what she has in store for 2017 now this series has been wrapped up.

4.5 perfectly flawed stars

Arrgh man, I am so sad to see this series end. This is one of most favorite angst series, the arrival of this book in the mail was definitely as nostalgic as it was exciting.

Let's just say I love Chloe and Ethan. So naturally when I heard that there was a 4th book, I was over the moon because I was so not ready to see them both go.

But when I further heard that this book was all Tori and Miles, I was—

bye bye mind.

So naturally, I had to read it, because..

And I loved it. The entire basis of the story was just perfect.

Tormented hero? ✓
Heroine with a bad past? ✓
Witty witty banter? ✓
Hot hot sex? ✓

This book begins about a year after Exposed ends, and Tori still pretty much hates Miles's guts for what he did (or didn't do in this case) to Chloe. But at the same time, she's very attracted to him- because he is Miles, Chloe's terribly handsome, and insanely smart brother. And in an attempt to run away from him she runs right into trouble- the very big, very public, very scandalous, and very embarrassing kind. There's a sex tape that gets released by an up-and-coming actor who does it solely because she did not sleep with him.

Tori gets disowned, and stripped of everything by her family, thrown out of her own house in nothing but a clothes, and no shoes.

And Tori! She's so much more than just Chloe Girard's best-friend. We get to see the person behind all those colors and outrageous clothing and snarky remarks. We get to see the strong woman determined to stand up, and fight for herself. The incredible person that forgave and accepted Miles, when he couldn't do that himself. She was just amazing. I've always loved Tori, and after this book I more than loved her. I respected her.

Then comes in Miles, protecting Tori from her family, the media, and mostly from herself.

Can we just please stop and talk about Miles?

He walked away from his million dollar company without a second thought when he came to know of how his parents used his sister's blood money as the start-up capital.
He relentlessly worked to get Tori's sex-tape taken down the net, with the full knowledge that his actions might not be appreciated or even accepted. He did that for a girl he thought hated him.
Then he incarcerated the bastard, and dug up info on him just so Tori could sleep knowing that he was in jail.
And he loved her. Unconditionally, without any clauses! How many people could do that after such a public embarrassment?

Let me just say that I love him almost more than I love Ethan.
Because he was so damn smart.
Plus he was very handsome.
But mostly because he was so damn smart lol.

I certainly couldn't help but nod my head at all the social topics picked here. One of the biggest being the Gender inequality between men and women who enjoy having sex. It is the glaring reality of the media and society- the guy is the stud, and the girl is the slut. I was literally clapping when Miles turned the tables turned here in the end.

But seriously though, Tracy Wolff might be one of my most favorite authors of the alpha-billionaire genre. This book was a fantastic conclusion to a fantastic series.

[ARC provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review]

“This time when he lowers his mouth to mine, I don't try to fight him. Instead I give myself up- to the moment , to him, and to the knowledge that just because we're flawed, just because we're broken, doesn't mean we can't be perfect together. And that is all that matters.”

Flawed was my first book by Tracy Wolff. Although I enjoyed it, there were some things about it that I didn't really like. First and foremost, the heroine. I like my female MCs strong and independent, but one too many times she was just so bitchy at the hero that it got on my nerves. Sure, it was a mutual thing, but knowing what he'd done for her since the very beginning made me side with him rather than with her.

I liked how they were kind of forced to room together and the tension that sparked from living in close quarters (well, not exactly close, but you got the picture). Also, the steamy parts were extremely hot, so kudos to Wolff for that.

All in all, I guess this book didn't grip me the way I'd hoped it would, mainly because of the repetitive inner monologues and dialogues. It's like the whole book circled around a couple of core themes that kept repeating themselves, like Tori's non-responsability in what had happened to her, or how they hated each other but still felt attraction.

I believe readers who are more invested in the series will get more enjoyment out of it. Without further background, though, at the beginning I felt a bit out of sorts, with the MCs already knowing each other and having some kind of war going on.

For what concerns Miles, I have a thing for brilliant men and his being a recluse genius really did it for me. I also liked how patient and understanding he was with Tori. It's not that I hated her, and I appreciated how we got to discover the domestic facet of the socialite, it's just that in general I'm not much for the socialite mindset. Reading about a grown woman who doesn't have a job and is living in a fine apartment, has a car, multiple credit cards, fancy clothes and "lives the life" is not something I can emphasize with. I felt for her when her father kicked her out at the beginning, and especially after what had happened, but I didn't fall completely for her "miserable-rich" girl attitude.

I would recommend it to fans of the Ethan Frost's series and die-hard lovers of hate-to-love romance. I'm usually all for it, but here I saw too much skirting around hurt feelings and not enough banter.

Miles (Chloe's brother) and Tori (Chloe's BFF) have been sniping at each other for a year. Then Tori gets disowned and winds up at Ethan and Chloe's San Diego house where Miles has been living. In three days they go from extreme dislike to almost love. For a nerdy geek he sure is ripped and HOT and knows his way around the bedroom. Then, of course, Miles does something stupid (come on he's a guy when don't they), and he has to find her and apologize.

I was prepared to dislike Miles after what he let his sister suffer in the past, but he really stepped it up to help Tori. Loved getting to see Ethan, Chloe, and baby Violet.

This book started with a laugh-out-loud blind date. OMG that guy, I would run for the hills...

Even though I’m no big fan of insta-love and really in this book it took just a few days, I loved it! Miles and Tori are great together. Tori was so stubborn but Miles just did what he thought was right and I loved him for that!

When Tori gets kicked out of her apartment by her own father she goes to her friend Chloe’s house for which she has a standing invitation. She didn’t expect to find Chloe’s brother there. They can’t stand each other. But when Miles learns about Tori’s issues and Tori realizes Miles isn’t the jerk she thought him to be they become closer and start to ignite together... fast and hard!

This was my 5th book by this author and so far they have all been great. I’m giving this one 4 stars.

Tori and Miles have had a agonistic relationship for years. Out of spite, Tori’s ex / action movie star posts a sex tape of him and Tori online and it goes viral. Her father cuts Tori off and leaves her to her homeless, shoeless and at the mercy of the paparazzi. This send Tori running to Chloe’s home. Chloe is away at school but her brother Miles is in residence. When the clips are down, Tori is shocked to discover just who has her back.

It is a story about the fine line between love, hate and sometimes the passion that runs just under the surface.

I love Wolff's ability to bring those extremely steamy romance scenes to life; especially balancing the steam to story ratio. FLAWED leaned a little heavier on the steam then story. Great romance, strong characters and fabulous at bringing that character connection, FLAWED can surely warm up any cold winter night.

Tori Reed is a socialite party girl who has recently decided to clean up her act & get her life together. But a rash decision to chat with an ex at a party to prove herself to Miles Girard turns disastrous. When she turns down her ex for a rebound hook-up he takes revenge by releasing a sex tape of them when they were together. Tori's whole world implodes when the tape is seen by her father. She only has one place to go & it's her bbf Chloe's house. But Tori doesn't know is that Chloe's older brother Miles is staying at the house while she is studying law in San Francisco. Tori & Miles have been at odds with one another & antagonize each other every chance they get. Tori has to beg Miles to let her stay. Unknown to Tori, Miles has been using his tech skills to track & destroy the sex tape that had her crawling to his door. Once Tori finds out that Miles is trying to help her, she starts to see him in a different light. Miles has always wanted Tori but has never understood how to crack her tough party girl exterior. But Miles doesn't realize that helping Tori & solving Tori's problems for her are two separate issues. Even though she appreciate what Miles is trying to do, it is the fact that he doesn't talk to her about it that drives her to leave. Will Miles figure out where Tori went to? Will Tori & Miles be able to reconcile their differences? Do Tori & Mile stand a chance at a future?

This enemies to lovers books is a testament to learning to see a person for who they really are & not judging them but what you believe without hearing both sides of the story. Both characters carry shame from their respective pasts & once they are willing to share their truths it becomes clear that they are attracted to each other. It is a story about learning to trust & love in the midst of your world falling apart & learning to stand on your own two feet with the help of friends. This is the first books I've read of Tracy Wolff & thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more of her books in the future. It is well written & believable. This book is meant for mature reads.

Miles and Tori were an interesting match. Their unwanted attraction made for an entertaining read despite Tori lacking accountability sometimes. All in all a solid read.

I never read any of the other Ethan Frost books but now that I have read this delight, I am going to have to remedy that! while this is part of a series, I never felt overly out of the story as there was plenty of back story to help fill in the blanks.

There is something about the tried and true connection between two people that "hate" each other. The author takes that hot formula and brings us a steamy read that is so yummy, you might just combust yourself.

Miles is hot and has family issues and guilt he is working to over come. Tori is a trust fund girl, never taken seriously, but yet wants to stand on her own. Miles is very protective of Tori, even though the "hate" is between them.... until it is not!

The author creates a great storyline that is loaded with heat, anticipation, and deliciously hot connections! Oh, yeah. Definitely grabbing her other books in the series!

Favorite Quote: “Whatever this is that’s unfolding between us…it isn’t casual and it isn’t temporary…at least not on my part.”

Tori despises Miles. This rich party girl been trying to clean up her act since graduating college but when a mistake from past reveals itself to the press, her parents cut her off completely, leaving her homeless and broke.

Surprisingly enough, Miles is the one there to catch her when she falls from grace and soon these frenemies go from hot and angry to hot and heavy. But Tori’s need for independence batters against Miles need to protect her. When Miles pushes Tori too far, he realizes that he will have to admit to his own flaws if he wants to keep her in his life.

I haven’t read the first three books in this contemporary romance series though it didn’t take away from my understanding of the story or the character dynamics. The story starts off on a humorous note as we watch Tori’s blind date unfold in a series of bad cliches and commentary.

“This is what I get for trying to clean up my act. I’m stuck with the nerd version of the Marquis de Sade.”

Laughter erupts as Tori is forced to sit there while her date channels his inner Christian Grey and seeks to ‘command’ her into his dungeon. Tori’s inner monologue is hilarious; broadcasting the perfect amount of horror and exasperation with his antics. Extracting herself from the painful date, Tori hightails it home to make an appearance at a friend’s engagement party then off to bed. Unfortunately, her arch nemesis, Miles Girard, is also in attendance and the sparks fly.

“Miles Girard is an asshole. A total and complete Asshole.”

The metaphorical blood flows as they par and thrust their words with the skill of fine swordsmen. As the night deepens, Tori winds up talking to an ex-lover whom she caught cheating on her. He propositions her which she shoots down quickly and firmly. The next morning brings shame, disgust, and guilt when she discovers her ex-lover did not take kindly to being turned down and humiliates her online while furthering his own career. Tori’s father furthur embarrasses her by implying she brought it on herself and kicks her out-leaving her with only what she could gather in five minutes. Tori runs to Chloe’s beach house only to discover Miles is living there indefinitely. From there the story becomes more serious and zeroes it focus onto Tori and Miles.

The pacing of the story is smooth and the writing engaging as Wolff chooses to blend the two conflicts and use Tori’s misfortune to push her and Miles together. Antagonistic romances can be fun and this couple is the definition of the term. You don’t have to read the first three to understand this couple’s history. Wolff embeds just enough of background into the storyline so that you get the gist of this couple’s animosity and the reasons behind it.

I enjoyed meeting Miles and seeing his evolution. Miles is an intelligent man with the body of a GQ model and the heart and brain of a geek. He currently works for Ethan Frost (the husband of his sister, Chloe) as a researcher. Fully vested in anything he works on, this level of commitment left him oblivious to his parent’s manipulations concerning Chloe and he carries that guilt around with him. Struggling for ways to make it up to her, when Tori arrives on his doorstep and he learns what happened, he sees the similarities between her’s and Chloe’s situations and is determined to not fail again.

“No way in hell is he getting away with this. No. Way. In. Hell. Hell, I couldn’t stop Brandon-then my parents for hurting Chloe. But this? I can definitely do something about this.”

Tori comes off harder to read. She is the stereotypical poor little rich girl-living her life off her trust fund without a care in the world while looking for the love and attention her parents never gave her. We learn of her previous wild hedonistic ways though we are informed she is trying to settle down and grow up. Having grown up with the world at her fingertips, wanting for nothing, there is a vulnerability to Tori that is revealed when her father rips it all away. She is left with nothing-no money, no home, no support. Her new found bid for independence and maturity starts with wanting to deal with her problems on her own. This creates more problems when Miles tries to step in to help without consulting her.

“This man who has no faith in the system and almost as little in me.”

Wolff does a great job of building the sexual tension to nail biting levels between this couple without pushing them prematurely into a sexual relationship. It reveals organically with Wolff peeling back their layers, letting them get to know the real person buried under their protective barriers. Unfortunately, the storyline stagnates on the conflicts and we are stuck rehashing the same issues over and over-both in deed and thought. I would have loved to have seen the humor from the beginning continue throughout. The singular focus on the couple and their journey from enemies to lovers left some important aspects unresolved.

Sexually they discover their compatibility easily enough and it is extremely hot and engulfing but the romance is harder to pin down. Their immense attraction to one another doesn’t cross over to love in a satisfactory manner for me. Core issues seem to circle around with little resolution and the short time length of the story doesn’t allow for any real moments of epithimies. Tori comes off brash at times and I found myself both sympathetic and annoyed with her-especially her habit of dishing out insults then playing the wounded party when those insults are tossed back at her.

Spoiler »

Of course, on the flip side, she has been blindsided pretty hard and her emotions are all over the place. Perhaps if I had read the first three, I would have gotten a better feel for her. As it was, Tori’s claims of wanting to stand on her own two feet doesn’t bear much fruit as she spends more time moping and raging at Miles rather than taking any steps to actually fix the problem at hand.

The ending is ambiguous as Tori runs and Miles chases, realizing he must let Tori sink or swim on her own terms regardless of his need to play the white knight and save the day. I’m not sure if Tori learned anything beyond that Miles isn’t the complete jerk she has always pegged him to be. A small epilogue gives our couple their HEA but leaves too many unanswered questions and we just have to take the author’s words for it that everything is resolved.

Fans of the series are sure to enjoy this latest installment though I found myself not as enamored as I had hoped to be.

Loved it. This is the 4th book in the Ethan Frost series but can be read as stand alone, and now I have to go back and read the first 3. The plot was simple, yet the writing was so well done that it kept my attention the whole time and before I knew it I was at the epilogue. That, my friends, is the sign of a good story and an author who has talent.

The characters Tori and Miles were engaging both on their own, but especially together, which is why the the chemistry was so real. And HOT. I think that is why the attraction worked for me, it had so much depth. Let me tell you - the kisses were the main attraction in this show. Yes, yes there was some really hot smoking sex, but the kissing was absolutely divine. Miles can kiss. Oh boy oh boy oh boy can he kiss. And everything came out in the kisses. Every tender emotion and every naughty desire. Every smexy time started with kissing that just got more intense. And of course there is the dirty talk. Oh hell yes it was good.

The secondary characters clearly were the first part of the series that I haven't read yet. While explained enough there is so much more I want to know about Chloe and Ethan's story. I don't think their road to happiness was an easy one, and anytime I can read about characters that heal each other I'm all over it. *adds to TBR*

The cover, while hot, didn't quite fit for me. I know the author didn't pick it out, but I'm still putting it out there. I am not really a fan. It doesn't represent Miles to me. He was quietly powerful and perfect, and this makes him look like a cheesy playboy. Is it pretty? Well yes, but I didn't think it suited the story.

The only other teensy thing was that some parts were a little unbelievable, like the intelligence and resources of Miles and Ethan, but the author didn't get bogged down on extraneous details so it ended up working out really well. Some of the arguments from Tori's side were a little ridiculous for me, but I guess we needed some conflicts to have the characters "get to the other side" and find their HEA. I went with it and I'm so glad I did because the book in its entirety was pretty much a perfect read for me.

The ending was lovely, I felt so very satisfied and the epilogue made me even happier. It wasn't rushed and I got to bask in it all. My heart felt so good.

Rec it? YES! If you love a hot read with characters that will make you fall in love this is a great series. I can already tell I want to go back and read Chloe and Ethan's story.

Happy reading!

I wasn’t crazy about this book but it wasn’t terrible either. There were elements I liked and I did read it quite quickly but overall the book fell flat and there were elements of the story that really irritated me. Maybe people who have read the series from the beginning might feel differently and have more loyalty to the characters? I have to say the author did a great job with making me feel like I wasn’t missing anything even though I am reading the series out of order.

I really enjoyed the “enemies to lovers” aspect of the novel. I really like these types of books and the sexual tension between Tori and Miles was explosive! Unfortunately the characters were sorely lacking depth which was disappointing. Tori was incredibly hard to relate to. She is a whiny socialite who basically had everything handed to her through her trust-fund, and while I like reading strong and sometimes loud personalities, she just took her bitchy attitude to another level and was so mean to Miles for absolutely no reason. The book felt like a rollercoaster to crazy-town...the fights between her and Miles felt manufactured to create drama just to have drama.

It is also fun sometimes to read about rich people (I mean the billionaire genre trope exists for a reason in romance novels) but I found this just did not work for me. There was no redeeming or relatable quality to Tori as she is an adult but doesn’t work, has a nice apartment her trust fund paid for, car, multiple credit cards, and so when her father kicked her out I did feel a little bad for her because it was so dramatic (I mean, not even letting her get changed? Or get shoes?) but it was still hard to muster up total sympathy for the stereotypical “poor little rich girl”.

I also feel like the author could have taken the topic of revenge porn, sex tapes, and rape further. She spent many pages going over it in both Miles and Tori’s perspective but it felt incredibly shallow. The inner monologues were very repetitive. It was also very convenient that Miles was this mega-genius and he essentially . I just felt like it was so over the top. It kind of throws it in the face of real rape victims (like the real case the author mentioned in the novel) who have to deal with the terrible reality that their perpetrators may never go to jail and there may never be justice. Unfortunately that is the reality of life today. But suddenly here comes the hero...it’s just another version of the damsel in distress and how the Hero saved the day. Tori did a lot of talking about how she wanted to be more independent in her life and maybe even speak out about her experience and help others, but then she didn’t actually do anything but rehashed the same arguments with Miles over and over again.

I was especially confused because in Chapter 20 Tori says she has an interview tomorrow afternoon at a local TV station but then we don’t hear anything about it? She gets mad at Miles and runs away to Chloe’s house, does she just blow off the interview?

I thought the author had the perfect opportunity in the epilogue to say something about Tori become a spokesperson or advocate but it just focused on their romance. It was cute and we got the HEA but still....very shallow.

Speaking of the romance...yikes. The insta-love was crazy in this novel. It really just killed the novel for me. ? I would have been completely fine with Miles and Tori just committing to a real relationship than saying “I love you” after four days together.

As for Miles I didn’t dislike him as much as Tori but she kind of rubbed off on him because I had to wonder what he saw in Tori? He goes and does nice things for her and she repays him by screaming in his face, calling him names and just acting like a huge immature brat. If I was Miles I would have seen all of this as huge red flags and realised I don’t have to be with someone who throws temper tantrums at every turn but when confronted immediately plays the victim role.

In terms of the steamy scenes which I know many of us read these novels basically for that, as I said above the sexual tension was very well done and the first sex scene was very steamy but then it really tapered off for me. In particular the kissing was over-described and I really did not enjoy how much he licks her gums...haha it was just weird but to each their own!

Also very minor but did anyone else notice what Ethan said about the blind dates he and Chloe set Tori up on?! I thought it was so horrible that her best friend and husband intentionally set her up on horrible dates because they “hoped that she would get together with Miles”! That some crazy manipulative shit! If my friends did that to me I would be so pissed off.

All in all I think if you don’t mind very loud, brash personalities then Tori won’t bother you and if you want to read something a little more on the shallow side and just for the romance then I would recommend this. Other than that I think it was a decent read but I am not tempted to read the rest of this series.

This book.....not that good.

BUT, I absolutely LOVED the Ethan Frost series(books 1-3) - I thought it had such great depth, heart and banter!!! But this book was insta-blah. The writing was fine, it was actually vivid and engaging when it comes to description, that's why it gets 2 stars instead of 1. The problem was the story - Tori and Miles are friendly enemies, one night they get into another little tiff, bad media stuff happens with Tori and boom Miles to the rescue, they realize they have chemistry, massive feelings materialize in 3 moments and lots of sex ensues(which of course is labeled best I've ever had by both parties) and they are in love with each other 1 day later. I'm not sure they ever even really had a meaningful conversation. There, now you can pass on this one - But read the first 3 of the Ethan Frost series for sure!

Seems that this book is loaded with all ARC reviews...most of them seem a little glossy...a little embellished in fondness, I'm questioning the honesty??? I've lost a little bit of respect for the ARC process today. Or I just have my panties in a wad at the moment :) Thank you to the ARC readers who share it honestly, I really appreciate it!

I had such a pleasure reading this book!
I have to admit, i haven't read the first three ones BUT now i definitely want to!

I loved Toni. Such a strong and fierce character!
A woman who doesn't need anyone else to help her stand, definitely not a man. A woman who has a past but who is trying to do her best to change the situation she's in.
For the last few weeks Tori has been trying to get her life back on track: less booze, no men, no parties. Be more serious. Be more responsable. Get her big girl panties on.
And that's when it happens: Alexander Parsons. Former boyfriend. An asshole. An idiot. A man who isn't capable of understanding the word "No.". Someone who shouldn't be called a man.
Because she didn't want to "reconnect" with him, he leaks to the press a sex video with them, being recorded without her knowledge. So that's how Tori finds herself alone, without shoes, without a cellphone -without pretty much anything- at her best friend` house where her brother is currently living.

Enter Miles. Nerd. Kind of a douchebag. Insanely hot.
She hates his guts. He loves pissing her off.
But the chemestry? Man, the chemestry!
The two of them clearly belong together. I could see it from their first encounter in this book.
Even if they want to rip each other`s throats off.
I loved how protective he became of her. How easy it was for him to prove that he can be someone she never had on her side. A man that is capable to care for her outside the sheets.
Someone who won't let anybody else hurt her and step over her.

It was a delicate subject the author brought in this book. That's why i loved it.
I can't imagine what's it like to have a public face. That everything you do, it's going to be on the papers the next morning. That everybody is keeping count of the dates you have, how many drinks you had, how late you stayed out or if your skirt is shorter than they think it should be.
And the saddest part of everything, is that you can't defend yourself. Anything you say the press can turn it upside down and in the end you're still doing something (or everything) wrong.
Your life isn't yours anymore. Is everybody's. Their`s to judge and prosecute.

So yeah, that's why i loved Miles so hard. Because of how he went ahead and defended her with everything he had even if it was against her will.
Their relationship changed so much and so fast during the first chapters - it was insane.
But in the good way.
Along with everything i mentioned, this book had the most intense first time sex i read in awhile. They were so into it and into each other. Hot and perfect!

Thank you, Tracy Wolff!!

NetGalley ARC review

This is another Ethan Frost book, but not about Ethan or Chloe. It's Tori, Chloe's BF and brother Miles. In most of the books you get know Tori and her wild ways. She is character that is tough and valuable at the same time. Miles you don't hear to much about him, or should I say what kind of a real character he is. Just about his part in why Chloe parents schemes. Which he really had no real idea what occurred. After finding out he has guilt and is trying to redeem himself. That isn't what this story is about.

Tori finds herself in a sex sandal and disowned by her father. Miles is the one to help her. In the beginning they hate each other. Let just say Tori hates Miles, for his involvement with the drama with Chloe in the first of the series.

All round a very great book and I'm totally in with this series

This book was okay. I haven't read any other books in this series, so I had no preconceived notions coming in. What I found was two characters that were fairly likeable, had chemistry, but I am not sure I felt the emotional connection. Miles was a hot, computer geek, and Tori, was well... a hot mess. I liked Miles, Tori was a little harder for me to like. It seemed to be a relationship forged out of anxiety and need vice real feelings. I don't know if that makes sense. There was just something missing for me to rank this one a little higher. The feelings happened so fast that it was super insta-love, and then ending seemed a little rushed in my opinion. I thought the book was okay, and I would read more books by this author.

I'm in the middle on this one. I thought it was ok and I'd read another book by this author but this one did have a few things that made me not rate this book higher.

I really didn't like the female lead (Tory) at all. She grated my nerves at time and others she was just not like-able. I didn't feel the connection between her and the male lead (Miles). It was also a case of insta love and I never enjoy that at all. There was times I felt the story line just kept repeating itself and it never fully had my attention. I don't think it was the author, she is a good writer. I just don't think it was a book for me.

I loved Ethan and Chloe's book so when I saw this I wanted it instantly.
An enemies to friends story with an alpha male that does everything wrong in his attempt to be protective to the point where it's so endearing.
Tori's life is a full on mess and nothing goes her way she gets thrust into drama. She was fierce on the outside but completely vulnerable on the inside.
She finds herself seeking refuge with Chloe's brother Miles who she can't stand.
This book has some scorching scenes in it and will leave you a little light headed in a good way.
The banter back and forth with these too is intense as they come head to head both completely stubborn.

Title: Flawed
Author: Tracy Wolff
Publisher/Year: Ranom House Publishing 1/17/17
Length: 304 Pages
Series: Ethan Frost #4

Overview

My Thoughts

It's been a while since we were in this series, so i had to refresh my memory on the story of Ethan and Chloe a bit to understand how our leads Tori and Miles fit into things. You'll recall (or maybe not) from the first books, that chloe meets Ethan on her first days at a new job, and sparks fly from the beginning. Of course though there have to be dark secrets from the past that come up, and in this case, the fact that Chloe had been raped by a kid in high school and for not sending the kid to trial, her family got paid off and that money was used to start Miles' career in inventing.

So fast forward to where we are, when we now see that there's a reconciliation of sorts between Chloe and Miles - she realizes that he didn't know anything that happened back when their parents started things, and he's just trying to make amends while also inventing new tech to help improve life in California.

Then there's Tori, Chloe's best friend, and a girl who comes from a very wealthy family, but who's had a bit of a troubled life, wreaking havoc for her parents through drinking, having sex and just being a troubled teen. She's been trying to clean up her life over the past year, and right when things seem to be going well, an ex appears and makes her life miserable. Because she turned him down (he's an actor so that's hard for him to take), he releases a sex tape of them, and makes her life miserable. Her father disowns her, kicks her out of her house with nothing but a few changes of clothes, and that's where the story really builds.

Tori goes to Chloe's house in San Diego because she's got no where else to go, and a standing offer to go there whenever, and when she arrives there, hurt and a bit worse for wear, she sees that she's not alone in the house. Enter Miles. Her nemesis. The guy who has made her life trouble for years and the guy who tried to take liberties with her the night before at a party. Mind you, the 'hate' and tension between them is nothing but clear sexual chemistry, but it'll take them time to figure out what to do about that.

Its a sweet story actually, since we all know that the way these things go is that the sibling and best friend get together. These two have such banter between them that it's actually quite entertaining to see how it happens. Miles isn't what he's always seemed to be - and that's the kind of guy that Tori needs even though she won't admit it. Once they take the leap, in true form of our author, the scenes between them show us how much heat and passion are between them.

there's more to the story of course though - while Miles is trying to protect and take care of Tori while she's got nothing, he's got this sense that there's something that the actor is hiding that could help get Tori back on her feet and he sets out to figure that out. What we learn though is not at all what you'd expect but quite a nice add on to the story.

Then there's the fact that both Miles and Tori have such strong personalities that you can only expect that they will battle each other at every turn. There are misunderstandings that drive them apart more often than keep them together and i think that it's a question of who will need to intervene to make it all work.

All in all a sweet spin-off of sorts to the main Ethan Frost series and i think that you should give it a read.

Rounding out the Ethan Frost series with a bang, Flawed features Chloe's best friend, Tori and her brother, Miles. You know that saying, 'there's a thin line between love and hate', well Tori and Miles take that to the next level with a bucket full of sparks to go alongside their feud.

Tori carries a grudge against Miles on Chloe's behalf because of the situation their parents forced on them; however, Chloe is determined to prove Miles is not to blame for anything other than being consumed by his inventions. Miles is so full of self-loathing and regret about Chloe's torment, every barb from Tori cuts the would deeper. However, Miles isn't the type to take the recrimination lying down and tends to verbally lash out in retaliation creating further tension between the pair.

Tori has been determined to clean up her lifestyle in an effort to be a better role model to her god-daughter, Violet. However, her toxic family relationship has resulted in Tori becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy which she is finding it increasingly hard to break away from. Exasperated by an incident of the revenge scandal nature, Tori develops the courage to break away from the ties that bind her once and for all. Tori and Miles are very similar in the way they carry their regret and self-loathing like anchors weighing them down and keeping them from moving forward. It is especially poignant that the negativity they feel stems from other people's actions rather than their own.

They also have comparable emotional barriers brought about by skewed self perception created by the tainted view of others; they also both have the tendency to project their issues onto other situations inevitably making things worse.

Giving into the chemistry between then alters their perception of not only each other but allows them to see themselves in a more positive light. I do like it when your partner provides the basis and support required in which the other can thrive and grow, Miles and Tori find their way to a mutually beneficial relationship following a few rocky moments. Communication and compromise are key to any relationship, Flawed vividly portrays the way in which an equal relationship should look, and the effort it requires. Both characters learn to open up with each other when they have always only relied on themselves.

Flawed also touches upon the inequality in attitudes toward men and women, especially in the way the media treats them with regard to sexcapades - men are still regarded as studs while women are vilified as ho's.

Ultimately, Flawed is two broken people filling the cracks in each other while altering their own self perception for the better.

Received from NetGalley for a honest review. Tori is trying to straighten out her life now that her BFF's married to wonderful hot rich Ethan, has a beautiful baby and is finally happy. But even when Tori does the right thing by saying no to her ex, everything get even worse and she hit the bottom. With no where to go, Tori arrives at the one place she she can trust to go only to run into her BFF's brother and enemy- Miles.
Miles loves the fight he gets from his sisters friend. He just wished she would see him as more then the nerdy brother that did his sister wrong. But once Tori come knocking at his door, Miles see away to help.

This is the story of love and hate. And the close line that only a top romance writer like Ms. Wolff can write so well. And like a good romance, we get a great HEA!

Oh boy, where do I even start? This book sucked and it's my first experience with Tracy Wolff, I'm thinking her writing is not for me.

The premise is interesting but the delivery lacked so much, I found the conversations, the pace and the sex to be terrible. Very little character development, wasted plot and did I mention the sex was terrible? I know it's a style but I really can't stand dragged out sex scenes that describe a shipload of emotions and connections and deep soul bond through eye contact all the while he's licking the roof of her mouth... 10 pages to describe kissing. No, please, no, are you kissing in slow motion? So I skimmed only to fall onto another scene that was almost exactly the same. It's boring!

I won't even get into my profound dislike for the heroine.

Definitely not a book for me, I'm surprised it didn't end up in the DNF pile.

When Chloe´s life comes crumbling down, she finds support in the one person she never expected to be there. The arch nemesies of her life, her best friends brother, and the thorn in her side.
When Miles finds Chloe in his hallway, desperate and crushed, he can´t help but be there for her.
He did not expect the hot feelings between them would change from hate to love this fast, though..
Can he help her, and will Chloe let him?
Contemporary romance, feelings and smutty fluff in an awesome combo, and my favorite trope =D

It's worth noting that I have not read any other stories in series, however I think the book can be read as a standalone although I think it would have been better if the other books in the series are read before this one.

Loved Tori's attitude and determination; her humor especially in the beginning of the book was refreshing. I felt Miles' guilt for what had happened in the past, but I feel like the issue was never resolved between Tori and Miles. Perhaps this the downfall of having not read the previous books in the series but by the end of the book it felt like the issue was unresolved.

I also struggled feeling the connection between Tori and Miles especially near the end.
