The author has released another book in “The Four X’s Group: La Spezia” series: “Levi.” Since I’m familiar with the other books in the series, I absolutely have to listen to this one, too.
As always, the author’s writing style is wonderful. She writes in a relaxed, detailed, and very entertaining way.
You know those books you just can’t put down because they’re so incredibly gripping? This one definitely falls into that category!
Levi and Chari are two likable characters who spent a steamy night together—a night with consequences. Chari had never planned to tell Levi about it until her daughter’s life was threatened and she saw no other way out. I almost felt a little sorry for Levi when his daughter called him “Daddy” and he realized just how much time he’d already missed with her. But now they both have a common goal: to eliminate the threat and protect their daughter. And Jules is pretty cute!
There’s plenty of action and thrills, pure suspense, but also a lot of emotion. Chari is an incredibly strong woman who generally gets by just fine without a man in her life. But now she’s reached a point where she sees only one way out.
Levi is very protective when it comes to his loved ones. Together, the two of them are an explosive combination with amazing chemistry—as a reader or listener, you can feel it right away.
The plot is entertaining and gripping, and I listened to the audiobook almost in one sitting. I was completely on the edge of my seat rooting for the two of them, and guys, there were some super-exciting scenes, as well as the occasional steamy scene.
And anyone who’s read the previous books will be happy to see Levi’s brothers and their wives again.
The audiobook was narrated by Andi Eloise and Tor Thom, and both did a fantastic job. They both have pleasant voices and brought the story to life by brilliantly capturing the emotions and effectively conveying the plot. Tor Thom shines as Levi just as much as Andi Eloise does as Chari.

Levi is an intense love story filled with danger, emotion, steam, second chances, and found family. Part of the La Spezia world of The Four X’s, Levi carries his responsibilities with honor and bravery. This story starts off with a literal bang, and the adrenaline runs hot and heavy throughout this story. Chari is a real and relatable female lead filled with passion and purpose. Though I disagree with how she avoids telling Levi her truth, I LOVE the scene where he discovers he is a father. It is precious and priceless. The moments of family love and humor woven into this intense thriller are beautifully crafted, and watching Levi and Chari reconnect and actually work on building their relationship with each other is so satisfying. In true Bella Stone fashion, the hits keep on coming, and the conclusion is epic. I don’t know how she does it, but she always selects the perfect narrators to provide duet narration for her stories, and this is no exception. The powerful delivery and emotional performances of the various roles is wonderfully done, sucking listeners straight into the heart of the story as if we are right there living it with them.

I received this as an ALC. this book was beautifully narrated by Andi Eloise and Tor Thom. The life and emotion that they brought to this was so vivid. I loved the way they portrayed the characters Levi and Chari. They really brought the intensity, the passion, and every emotion that played out in this story.
Levi was former Army. And he had no idea that he had a daughter with Chari. It wasn’t until she knocked on his door looking for help and protection from the ones who put a bounty on her daughter’s head. I hated that he didn’t know for all that time, but when he found out, his reaction was priceless.
I loved the danger and chaos in this. It was filled with such an intensity that I couldn’t stop, didn’t want to stop listening. The way these two came back together. A found family, and they worked on it as a team. This had my heart. It was an amazing story. And I loved that I got to listen to it.

This book delivers a whole lot of Wow and intensity. Levi and Chari's story is one that does it all from making your pulse race, to stealing your breath, to tugging your heartstrings, to the stretching of your nerves to their breaking point and to sending your temperature soaring you can expect any and all of these as you enjoy this captivating romance.
