Harper Long was born and raised in Southern California. Always interested in fantasy lives, Harper began writing supernatural stories in college before developing a style for romance shortly after. Werewolves and Wallflowers is the surprising debut series that takes readers to Zephyr Harbor, a secretive town full of a hot romance and wildly charming characters.
Absolutely hilarious! This fun book centered on my favorite character from the Werewolves and Wallflowers series. Remy is a slutty, what-you-see-is-what-you-get guy who finds his afterlife suddenly in danger and a new hot guy to boot. We see a little bit of serious side to Remy here but still with his sassy humor intact. The mythos of vampires here is also very winning. Far from the dark, brooding, overtly sexual images so often used, these vamps have kick-ass powers and love to surf. Wish we could see more of Remy (although his vampy self does feature some in the last installment of the W and W series. Very enjoyable!
This book is fast paced and the plot is well thought out, where it lost credit with me was in the characterisation. I admit I haven't read the other books that precede it, but for me the characters were too shallow and I couldn't bring myself to care if they lasted to the end of the book or not. That said, the scenes describing the various fights were well written and I could visualise the action in my head.
