The threat of The Agent may have been erased, but now the people of Securus come face to face with the furtive overlord keeping them imprisoned underground.

After uncovering the lies that have secretly kept Securus’ people as Caelum’s slaves, Kagen Meldon hoped the path to freedom would be simple. That dream becomes shattered when he learns The Controller is coming to Securus. His presence brings with it the threat of annihilation.

Remaining in their subterranean prison, Kagen now works side by side with the new head of Leadership, Talia Vaden. While fear of Caelum has caused dissention within Leadership, Kagen is faced with an enigmatic new disease afflicting the colony. Their burden becomes deepened by the discovery of a new threat in The Caves, adding to the uncertainty of their future. With danger coming from the people within to the forest above, nothing is certain.

The only thing Securus can count on is its own demise if The Controller is not satisfied.

Great read.

Great series so far. I can't wait to delve into book 3.
I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I have.

Oh! So well done!

Great characters, strong world building, the very slightest romance influence. Deftly avoids going into dark pitfalls of gruesome description, while giving plenty of room for imagining. I reviewed the first book for free and happily bought the rest.
