Loved Pule's story! I've read all the books Shannon has written set in Fircrest. This is book #11. If you love clean romance I highly recommend starting with the first book and working your way through all these books. I don't think you can fully appreciate Pule unless you see how far he has come. However my daughter started with this book not having read the others and really enjoyed it. So if you aren't up for reading and entire series you can read this as a stand alone.
I appreciate that Shannon writes clean books free of offensive content. I have been looking forward to reading Pule's story for quite some time and was not disappointed.

Shannon!!! *shakes fist*

I've been looking forward to this one for awhile now. Pule has been in a lot of the other books and I was curious to see what his story would bring. To be honest, I wasn't always a fan of Pule. He was cocky and selfish. The past couple books he has grown up though and in this one it was great to see a mature version, but he still kept the fun personality traits that I liked. I've always been curious about the type of girl that would win him over. Sometimes in Contemporary Romance the H/h have an instant attraction and I was glad in this case they had to get to know each other. Pule is used to a certain type of girl and Posey Tyler is not that type. I liked that once Pule gave her a chance he realized she had so much more to offer than the girls he usually dates. They were actually really good for each other. Posey was a likable character and easy to relate to. When she sees something she wants she goes for it! They have a fun courtship and I liked them together.

As much as I'd like to talk about the rest of the book, I won't. I want people to experience it on their own and wouldn't want to ruin anything. I'll just say...have a box of tissue on hand while reading!

A fun addition to the Fircrest series, can't wait for more!

I will say up front that this is going to be the hardest review I have ever had to write. And once you read this book you will totally understand why. I currently have a love/hate relationship with it. I LOVED it! I really did! But there are just some things that really SUCKED! You have all been warned! But don't let that discourage you... you just HAVE to read Free Fallin!

When we first met Pule he was the biggest punk on the face of the planet! I had wanted to knock him out so many times it was not even funny! Everything was all about him and how he could get what he wanted. Then things started happening around him to open his eyes and see that the way he had been living was not the way he wanted to live. He started wanting what all his cousins and brother had... love. But not just any love... a love that is all consuming... a love that would make life worth living... a love that would last for eternity.

Posey... Posey... Posey... oh how I love her! She may seem like the shy, quiet girl but really... she's a little firecracker who loves very passionately. She's a vigilante for the underdogs.. someone who will always be there for you and help in any way that she can... whether she knows you or not. She is definitely NOT Pule's type and knows it. But this girl is determined. And once she makes up her mind?! Watch out world! She's independent.. is not afraid to be the real her.. and has no filter. I loved her honesty! She is absolutely perfect for our dear, sweet, amazing Pule.

I loved watching Pule fall for Posey. They had a very, very rocky start and Pule really didn't want to have anything to do with her. But over time they become friends and slowly but surely he falls head over heels in love with her. He FINALLY gets to experience what everyone else has... an all consuming love that makes life worth living... a love that just completes him. And he wouldn't have it any other way... *dreamy sigh*

And there is NO way I can forget my casting... hehe. What do you think?! Personally... I think they are perfect!! ;)

The sign of a great author is one who can bring a lot of emotion into a book, especially for me because I don't feel things very easily. This book had me running the gamut with my feelings and I loved every minute of it, although I don't think I've felt so many conflicting emotions in one book before.

We meet Pule in some of the previous books and I have to say, he was a cocky, sometimes immature little stinker! But there was still something about him that I really liked and I couldn't wait to read his story. I love that he started wanting more with his life and took the initiative to make some positive changes. He really wormed his way into my heart, especially when that cockiness started morphing into confidence.

Posey--what an interesting character! She had me on my toes and laughing all the time. She knows exactly what she wants and when she feels something, she feels quickly, passionately, and deeply. However...she's not someone who immediately stands out. She often says the wrong things, acts way too impulsively, and is pretty awkward and clumsy. And I really, really like her!

As with all of the books in this series, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing characters from other books. These people feel real and like dear friends to me. I rejoice in their happiness, weep for their heartache, and smile at their friendships and relationships. I don't ever want this series to end!

Content: mild violence; mild romance (kissing). Clean!

What a roller coaster ride!!!!! I knew Pule's book would be great, this has surpassed all my expectations. Shannon Guymon is BRILLIANT!!!! I loved it from beginning to end. I laughed, I cried, I felt anger, and love. Pule is as I always knew he would be, a sweet and caring man. One who loves deeply and quietly. Posey is crazy, outspoken, and even a little scary. Someone who was able to see the real Pule and love him in spite of, or maybe because of his imperfections. I loved this book and I will be re-reading it again and again. I don't do spoiler reviews I want people to experience the emotions of this story all on there own. I couldn't put it down. Looking forward to many more wonderful books by Shannon Guymon.

Oh. Well, I guess life isn't always sunshine and lollipops. Things happen that are sad, and things happen that are happy. That was sort of how this book went. I'm pretty bummed about the sad though.

The people in Shannon Guymon's books have become real to me. There is so much cross over for characters in each book. They never really leave and that means you become attached to them. That makes the hard even harder.

I love Pule. I'm glad he finally got his own grown up story. :) That was the happy.

Where to begin...

"Sigh"...laughter....tears...emotional rollercoaster...beautifully written....

Pule's Story

Pule was such a punk throughout the other books....and in some ways he still his...but in mostly good ways now. I. Adore. Him. He is finally all grown up and a true "Matafeo". Well, almost all grown up. Men are always kids at heart I think and Pule's no different. I love the Matafeo family!!! Their devotion and love for one another is so sweet, genuine, and inspiring. I also love our little spitfire heroine Posey. She handles Pule so well and is perfect for him.
I laughed...I cried....A LOT.... I am anxious and completely impatient to see where the series goes....did I mention I cried a lot.?
As much as I hated this book, I loved it even more. (You'll understand when you read it. ) This is a MUST READ in the series for sure!!!!

I will say no more....

I'm glad that I read other reviews before I picked this up, and I knew that smithing sad was going to happen. I won't go and say what, but it helped me be emotionally prepared knowing that something was coming. I don't usually expect to cry during romantic comedies :)
Besides the sad part, I loved seeing Pule find someone to love. I've enjoyed watching him mature through the past two series, and thought he was great with Posey. She cracked me up. She was quirky and somewhat shy, but also determined. I love how Shannon has written so many books in Firecrest, and that we can see previous characters, how they're doing, and how their lives intertwine with one another.
Free Fallin' was another great addition to Shannon Guymon's books, and I can't wait to see who she writes about next. My bet is Maya :)

This book was so silly at first! I almost put it down. What a weird way to start a love story. Very unique. On the advice or two reviews written by trusted people I kept reading. This is the 11th book in this whole series of books about a group of friends who live in a small town. I didn't know this. I have read one series books 4 threw 6 and a couple in the middle so I know some of the other players, but you could read this book on its own and get the gist of the family and friend dynamics. There is so much about this book that is just CRAZY! But it was an entertaining read that had a little of everything. The next book in this series hopefully will wrap up a couple of loose ends but the story ends well.

Hum. Well this book defiantly was a roller coaster emotional ride. I didn't like the sad part. I wish Pule would have gotten his fun loving teasing personality back. It was a good book though.

I absolutely loved this book. It was just what I needed to read to make me laugh and smile again. This book definitely keeps you hooked from the first to the very last page. You get so involved with these characters and the book you can easily lose track of time. Be prepared to stay up late to finish this book, it is definitely one you won't want to put down!

Like all of Shannon's books this book really touches the heart and makes you fall in love. In all of her books I feel like I am part of the story. I feel every emotion the characters are feeling. I laugh, cry, get angry, fall in love, and smile right along with them. This story takes you on a fun adventure full of romance, fun and has lots of heart. It will definitely play with all of your emotions, but in the end leave you smiling.

I love these characters so much. Pule has come along way. He has such a sweet heart and is fiercely loyal to his family and his friends. He loves with his whole heart, and is an all around good guy. I love the relationship he has with his brother Cam! You definitely get to see him in a whole nother light in this story, and that just makes you fall in love with him even more. Posey is such a witty, strong determined, sassy girl. I love her grit, and determintaion. She goes after what she wants. She may seem shy on the outside, but mess with her and watch out! She has a beautiful, caring, and loving heart! These two together create all sorts of fireworks and take you along on a crazy ride! I love the twists and turns of it all. Their passion for life and each other is beautiful to watch.

This story definitely has some sad parts you don't see coming, so make sure a tissue box is near.

I definitely recommend this book to all people who love fun, clean romance books. Trust me you will fall in love with all the characters and you will want to read all the books of the series. They all have so many fun characters in them. You won't want to miss out!

I can't wait to find out what happens in the next books and with these characters. I know one thing for sure it will be well worth the wait!!

Without fail when I start a Shannon Guymon book, I can not stop. I was up until 1am. This one, WOW! It will leave you feeling emotionally crazy. It's not very often a book makes me cry, and hurt and sorta happy all at the same time. Pule deserved a good story and I thought this was the perfect fit for him. He has done a lot of growing up the past book or 2 but still had some more to do. He defiantly comes full circle in this book. I loved his story! My heart aches for the other shocker in this book that I won't spoil, if your a fan you won't want to miss this. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. I have really come to love the people of Fircrest. This book increases that love as they all pull together for tragedy. It's still really tough for me and it's just a book. This is one of the best books of the set for sure! Shannon's books rock! ;)

I feel really bad about this one.... and I was so looking forward to it. But, I had a difficult time with this one. I wanted it to be more than it was. Besides the tragedy (which I totally cried at), I felt like it was all a bit juvenile, shallow, and unbelievable. Ugh. I hate saying that, cause I've loved these cute books. I'm just invested with the characters and this one was a bit of a let-down. Bummer.

Ok I love this series. I love how we get to see the characters change and grow.
Posey is such a cute quirky girl. And determined to get what she wants.
That being said, I will be looking forward to the next books to see how this all plays out. Really doubted I would cry, was really wrong on that.
Still loved it.

I can't write a true review because of spoiling it, and it sorta bothered me, but I will say that I love Pule! Nice to see him all grown up and following in his larger than life family members. Posey was too cute and I loved their first encounter. So funny! But not all of this book is fun and games. I would encourage you to read the entire series to experience this one completely.

It was fun to finally get to read Pule's story since he's been a recurring character in many of the previous books. These stories are quick, fun reads! This story definitely had a more tragic element than the others -- I certainly didn't see that coming.

A cute story. The tragedy had me teared up in the middle. However, the ending was rushed and unbelievable.

I adore Shannon Guymon's work! Her characters are fabulous and I feel like I am transported to her world - Fircrest, Washington is one of my favorite places to "visit" (by reading). Shannon has this magical way of taking characters that were bratty or annoying and shedding light on their background and making me love and understand even the most aggravating characters. Pule Matafeo definitely qualifies as an initially aggravating (and immature) character and this book made me really understand and appreciate him. The tragedy in this book was masterfully handled. It was meaningful and helped the story progress. This book, like many of Shannon's made me feel (and cry several times, darn tragedy), but ultimately come out happy and loving Fircrest. Sweet, cute and fun!
